[krita] [Bug 396487] Using keyboard shortcut for Move Tool works but then immediately jumps to Shape Select (and shows "You probably want the Move Tool" message)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396487 --- Comment #2 from Eoin O'Neill --- So I've further investigated this issue and it turns out to be rather interesting. The issue is that the V key is treated as a special key in krita, much like the control key or R key or Y key. However, unlike those keys, the V key changes the state of the tool selection because it acts as a temporary shortcut to the line tool when over the canvas area. When you bind the V key to a tool, it creates an issue where it loses the pointer to the previously used tool and decides to go to the selection tool. The quick (ugly) solution is to prevent the V key from being bound to. Since the V key has some hard coded behavior (switching to the line tool), it should not be able to be rebound for the time being. The long-term (better) solution is to remove hard coded attributes, temporarily lose the quick-access to the line tool, and try to rely more on the hotkey manager to do these types of behaviors. The even longer-term (best) solution is to provide more flexibility to our hotkey / tool system to allow for both modal hotkeys (permanent switching to different tools) and a temporary 'stack' based tool switch, which allows you to hold a key to use a tool and switch back after release. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[effects/cubeslide] Fix "sticky" windows detection on Wayland Summary: This is second part of {D15175}, and aimed at fixing Bug 390366. The problem was that effect relied on isManaged() to detect OSDs and notifications, that should be painted on top of the cube. On Wayland, the desktop window itself is not managed, which made it "sticky". Instead we use isSpecialWindow() check to explicitly make notifications and OSDs sticky. It still requires fixing Plasma::Dialog, since it does not set isSpecialWindow() flag correctly. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398689 --- Comment #14 from Alberto --- Thank you for clarifying, I wasn't aware you could do that. I downloaded the switching software for testing and found that the issue does not appear if I switch to Integrated only. If I leave it to Discrete or Dynamic then the issue is present. Note: I had to disconnect my external display in order to for the switcher to allow me to switch to Integrated. I normally run with an external display connected. [okular] [Bug 398771] New: EPub backend: changing default font size doesn't update the page number
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398771 Bug ID: 398771 Summary: EPub backend: changing default font size doesn't update the page number Product: okular Version: 1.5.1 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: EPub backend Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: nevinevi...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: --- =Background information= Often, I need to read EPub ebooks a few meters away from my monitor and it is helpful for this to increase the default font size and type (on my configuration by default it's "Noto Sans, 10") to make text more easily readable. =Issue encountered= I found that changing the font size and type in EPub backend options results in Okular not updating the page number. Practically speaking, if an EPub Ebook has a 200 page count and I increase the font size, text appears to be reflowed correctly, but the page count would still remain 200. The most immediate issue is that the book gets clipped, meaning that the end could not be read if not by decreasing font size again. Conversely, when decreasing the font size, blank pages result at the end of the document, although this is more than an annoyance than a usage-breaking bug. =Additional notes= Closing/reopening Okular and/or the document does not seem to solve the issue. I observed this issue with different EPub documents. =Backend information= Version 0.2.3 KDE Frameworks 5.49.0 Qt 5.11.1 (built against 5.11.1) The xcb windowing system -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdevelop] [Bug 397045] Kdevelop crashes when parsing starts [clang::Decl::setInvalidDecl]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397045 --- Comment #5 from Fredrik Haikarainen --- Created attachment 115046 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=115046=edit New crash information added by DrKonqi kdevelop (5.2.4) using Qt 5.11.1 - What I was doing when the application crashed: After having issues with the parser not working correctly, I attempted to clear the cache and restart KDevelop. Reparsing of the project then commenced, and after a while it crashes. Sometimes instantly, sometimes after some parsing progress. Happens 7/7 times. - Unusual behavior I noticed: Before this happened, KDevelop crashed once or twice. Clearing the cache did the trick then, but it no longer works. Also, the parser has been working very badly. It doesn't recognize most header files, even though include paths are set for the project. It also misidentifies some classes as being part of the "std::"-namespace for the headers that are recognized. So if I for example declare `class Foo` in Foo.hpp, then I will get parser errors on usages of this class that suggest that I change them to std::Foo instead, (message says: did you mean std::Foo? Solutions: include Foo.hpp) - Custom settings of the application: Session has 3 projects. All are configured with regular makefiles, and uses gcc with the C++17 standard for compilation. The parser uses clang with the -std=c++17 flag. One of the projects also uses libclang as a dependency for static code generation. All KDE applications are installed via official Arch Linux repository. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #6 0x7fea5f993450 in clang::Decl::setInvalidDecl(bool) () at /usr/lib/../lib/libclangAST.so.6 #7 0x7fea5f99349c in clang::Decl::setInvalidDecl(bool) () at /usr/lib/../lib/libclangAST.so.6 #8 0x7fea58dddbc8 in clang::ASTDeclReader::VisitDecl(clang::Decl*) () at /usr/lib/../lib/../lib/libclangSerialization.so.6 #9 0x7fea58dde482 in clang::ASTDeclReader::VisitNamedDecl(clang::NamedDecl*) () at /usr/lib/../lib/../lib/libclangSerialization.so.6 #10 0x7fea58dde982 in clang::ASTDeclReader::VisitValueDecl(clang::ValueDecl*) () at /usr/lib/../lib/../lib/libclangSerialization.so.6 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Despite selecting the font from a picker and seeing it being choosen correctly (Roboto Condensed 11), GTK apps are using normal Roboto font, instead of Roboto Condensed. I can see that ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini contains: > gtk-font-name=Roboto Condensed Regular 11 However, if I set Roboto Condensed as a GTK font through lxappearance application, everything seems to be fine and GTK applications kindly use that font. After that, the settings.ini file contains: > gtk-font-name=Roboto Condensed, 11 Also, after setting the font correctly through lxappearance, the choosen font is incorrectly displayed in GNOME Application Style (GTK) in System Settings, as Roboto 11 is visible in the Font field, instead of Roboto Condensed 11. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[neon] [Bug 398752] Bionic User-Edition Live Installer crash
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398752 --- Comment #2 from dth2 --- Sorry there is no output to provide. When the uninstaller crashes it freezes the system and it is not possible to obtain a copy of the logs that have been created so far. The actual crash message is generic and just asks that a bug report be made. The crash happens before the bootloader (grub2-efi) is installed. There is nothing shown in the efi folder from the failed install - so post hardware set-up and pre bootloader install. As an overall install the percentage complete shows 70%. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[latte-dock] [Bug 398764] New: Panel does not show on hover, but as a dock it does
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398764 Bug ID: 398764 Summary: Panel does not show on hover, but as a dock it does Product: latte-dock Version: 0.8.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: raitarohik...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- I have created a latte panel that is basically a default plasma panel menu, task manager, system tray, pager, spectacle widget, 3 extra widgets to some scripts, the system tray and the event calendar widget. If I set the dock as a dock, I get some horrible unused space left and right (even if size is 100%), so I keep it as a panel. Sometime the panel does not show itself on hover. The only way to get it to show itself again is to issue the application menu shortcut. The normal dock I have on the left always shows itself though from what I've noticed. I want to mention that I had implemented a latte-dock panel instead of the usual panel because I had the same issue with a normal panel too and I have no idea what is going on. I am pretty sure is upstream but it might be due to 2 conflicting task managers, one in the panel at the bottom and the other (the latte one) in the latte dock to the left. Here is the issue I opened, but it was never responded too. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397654 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 398763] New: Konsole segfaults on logout
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398763 Bug ID: 398763 Summary: Konsole segfaults on logout Product: konsole Version: master Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: sc...@spharvey.me Target Milestone: --- Konsole segfaults during logout. Error-reporting window remains on screen, but cannot be used as mouse and keyboard have already been shut down. It locks up the logout process and a power cycle is the only option. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it at will. If there are any possible conditions (memory usage? Konsole debug just before logout?) that might cause it, I'm glad to experiment. This might be a useless report, but it happens often enough that I consider it a problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 398753] Cannot add SMB address to Places bookmark
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398753 --- Comment #3 from Tyson Tan --- T(In reply to Kai Uwe Broulik from comment #2) > Can't reproduce. Does it show when you click "Show all entries" in the > Places panel context menu? Perhaps you have hidden the "Remote" section. Yeah it showed up in Remote panel. However, I saw the Places panel as the equivalent to favorite/bookmark panels in Windows and Gnome. What if you have too many Remote locations and you want to highlight only a few? Is it possible to add Remote locations in Places panel, or is there some underlying philosophy against it? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
