[Breeze] [Bug 403229] Icon cache doesn't get automatically cleaned when a release has new/changed icons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403229 --- Comment #8 from Eli Schwartz --- It's anyway the wrong level to try implementing this -- how do you robustly log into every user on the system regardless of their home directory, then execute their bashrc, .pam_environment, and .config/environment.d (this one is a bit of circular logic) in order to find out whether $XDG_CACHE_HOME has been set, and finally delete `${XDG_CACHE_HOME:-$HOME/.cache}/icon-cache.kcache`? I mean... you "could" do so, but it begins to become somewhat uncomfortable, and the #1 place to find an overridden variable also introduces arbitrary code execution. We don't modify $HOME in our packaging, and even mentioning the idea traditionally provokes a hair-trigger response "only the worst ever packages would ever dare touch $HOME, what is this package and can we have it deleted". https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403159 Kevin Kofler changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kevin.kof...@chello.at --- Comment #7 from Kevin Kofler --- I suspect that this is a bug in the QtWebEngine print method. I am seeing this with QtWebEngine 5.11.3. Falkon also spits out a blank page when I try to print directly to the printer. Printing to PDF works in Falkon (which uses the dedicated printToPdf method in that case, which is a good idea, by the way, because it will produce a normal PDF, whereas using the normal print method will render that PDF to a bitmap per page and then produce a PDF containing the bitmap(s)), but not in KMail (which, I guess, always uses the generic print method). This probably needs to be reported to Qt upstream if it isn't yet. It would also be important to know whether it works with QtWebEngine 5.12.x. [kdenlive] [Bug 403944] New: Stabilizing 30fps clips in 60fps project problems
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403944 Bug ID: 403944 Summary: Stabilizing 30fps clips in 60fps project problems Product: kdenlive Version: 18.12.1 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: vpi...@kde.org Reporter: czart.and...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In some specific cases stabilization does not produce good results if a 30fps videoclip is stabilized in a 60fps project. The problem occurs when something on the video moves from the opposite directions (for example when you're moving form left to right, and a car moves from right to left). (Link to an example is attached.) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a 60fps project. 2. Import a 30fps video to the project bin. 3. Stabilize the video, then add it to the timeline, then render the project. OBSERVED RESULT The moving objects are strange on the stabililized video when something on the video moves from the opposite directions (for example when you're moving form left to right, and a car moves from right to left). (Link to an example is attached.) EXPECTED RESULT If the 30fps video is stabilized in a 30fps project, the result is a well stabilized video. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: MacOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Well, you might ask why would I stabilize a 30fps video in a 60fps project. I shoot lots of videos with an actioncamera, and when I have light I use 60fps, but at night I use 30 fps. When I edit the videos, the final video will be a 60fps video, so I use both 30fps and 60fps videos in my project. One possible solution would be to stabilize, and render the 30fps videos in a 30fps project one by one, but as I shoot lots of short clips, that would take lots of time. (My workaround is that I use a script in a linux virtual machine to stabilize my videos automatically one after an another using ffmpeg, which doesn't change the framerate. Then I add the stabilized videos to kdenlive.) Here is a videoclip for demonstration: (the tuktuk and the second taxi looks really strange) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ro5ZC93Fg9xrcN60poHketisCzFm6Cg1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmymoney] [Bug 403877] Program crashed; won't re-launch; provides error message
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403877 --- Comment #3 from Jack --- That's very strange. zgrep knows the file is compressed, uncompresses it, and passes it to grep. I don't know how, but it looks like your file might be double compressed. Can you try "file peter.kmy" to see what it says? You might then also try (as sequential commands) "cp peter.kmy x.gz" "gunzip x.gz" "file x". that x SHOULD be a plain ascii xml file. If file says it is gzip compressed, then you can try "zgrep A83 x" and we can go from there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a new project, add a title clip to the project bin, then add it to the timeline. 2. Add a video clip to the project bin, then add the video to the timeline after the title clip. 3. Add defish effect to the video clip, then change the settings (in my case amount: 770, type: stereorgaphic). OBSERVED RESULT The defish effect is not added to the video clip on the timeline. If I turn on, and off the effect, it makes no difference. EXPECTED RESULT When I add the effect on the video clip, and change the values, the effect should defisheye the video. The result should be seen in the preview window. If I just add only the video to the timeline, then the effect works. There is also an alternative to it with more features, called Volume2. You can use both to assign a key or button and when you keep it press and spin the mouse wheel the volume changes, no matter where the mouse pointer is or in what app you are. This is very useful to easily adjust the volume, i personally use Right Mouse button + Mouse wheel, because is the best option, I always have my hand on the mouse so i can instantly adjust the volume anytime I need / want. I think it shouldn't bee to hard to implement this since part of it is already implemented in kde, you can change volume with cursor on volume icon and using mouse wheel, all it needs is to add an option to do the same when you keep a button pressed, instead of holding mouse on volume icon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 403931] New: TAB Key when renaming files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403931 Bug ID: 403931 Summary: TAB Key when renaming files Product: dolphin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kiarfu...@gmail.com CC: elvis.angelac...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In widows you can jump to next file using TAB key, when renaming files. This helps a lot when you want to rename a bunch of files, without any pattern for batch renaming. When renaming a file in Dolphin (or konqueror) using the inline rename, if you hit TAB then it should finalize the rename of the current file and bring up the next file for renaming. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Here are a couple of videos that explains this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BntM6Zyznvk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEX7wOJkueA ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Tab key currently enters that long space indentation character, which nobody ever uses in file names. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

It would be nice especially when using tiling scripts, and I think it would also offer a better UX by not forcing to snap windows to the top to see the effect (while it is not an issue when using maximized or large windows, it could be a bit annoying to snap some smaller window to the top). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 04/02/2019 at 19:15. Pushed by tleupold into branch 'v5.4-bugfix'. Flush name cache when changing database compression. For performance reasons, FileReader::unescape and FileWriter::escape cache the results of (un)escaping. With the recent (introduced in v5.4) push to use the compressed file format by default, kphotoalbum would load an uncompressed file and later store it as a compressed one. In this process, the cache would be populated for an uncompressed file and later used to store a compressed file, producing incorrect results. On the next attempted database load, these incorrect results may be discarded if they are invalid XML attribute names, thus leading to data loss. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396034 jdre...@web.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jdre...@web.de --- Comment #7 from jdre...@web.de --- I found workarounds for the problems on OSX: If the cursor icon gets stuck as magnifying glass by zooming with the trackpad just rotate with two fingers on the trackpad. The image will not rotate, not supported luckily, but the icon gets normal again. If you cannot draw because the cursor on the canvas does not react anymore, because of clicking with the wacom somewhere in a docker (for example choose a color with the small color selector) : lift the pen - once the pen is out of reach the icon gets normal again and is not stuck in the middle of the canvas anymore. (by the way: opening the preference window and closing it works also (Cmd-,)(Esc) ) perhaps this helps to find a solution - seems it is about switching focus with the tablet.
