Secondly: I have reported the bug to the forum; as suggested. https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=139=160629 Third: This bug can be marked 'Resolved' because one of the developers has now created the release file and while it might be a "testing" package, the instructions now work and the PPA/repository can now be added. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 406857] auto-hide fails after window demands attention
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406857 triffid.hun...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||triffid.hun...@gmail.com Resolution|DUPLICATE |--- Depends on||394119 Status|RESOLVED|REPORTED --- Comment #2 from triffid.hun...@gmail.com --- This seems different to #394119 (I am the submitter of that bug) In #394119, the panel will successfully autohide after all windows wanting attention have received focus. The issue there is that workflow is disturbed by having to focus other windows to re-hide the panel. In this bug, OP describes that autohide remains broken even _after_ all windows have received focus. A restart of plasmashell is required to reset the panel. This bug might be solved by an accepted solution for #394119, but the behaviour is definitely distinct and separate. I changed the status back to 'Reported' because I never experienced the specific behaviour described by OP, and noted that this bug may depend on #394119 OP: you could try `killall plasmashell; sleep 3; kdeinit5_wrapper plasmashell` and see if that works as a less intrusive kludge to temporarily fix the issue. You could also try my patch from #394119 which completely prevents the panel un-hiding when windows want attention. But I did figure out that the app's flatpak directory, ~/.var/app/org.kde.skrooge/ , contains a cache/ksycoca5_en_blahblah= file. Despite multiple `flatpak update`s, that file remained last modified back in December 2018. When I deleted it and ran the flatpak, OFX import appears! So it works for me now, but this feels like a bug in the way KDE Flatpak operates. It's unclear what should trigger a ksycoca5 rebuild, but a new version of a program with new functionality ought to do it. FWIW my normal Fedora ~/.cache/ksycoca5_en_blah= file was last modified yesterday, and I didn't issue the kbuildsycoca5 command. (There is a /var/lib/flatpak/runtime/org.kde.Platform/x86_64/5.12/blahblah/files/bin/kbuildsycoca5 binary in the KDE platform runtime, but I don't know how I would run it "within" a flatpak.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406946 --- Comment #3 from Christoph Feck --- Base64 encoding will the file grow to 1105 million characters. With Qt's QChar being 16-bit wide, it will need 2210 MB space, but Qt's containers only allow 2147 MB (2^31 bytes). [Oxygen] [Bug 406239] Better contrast for selected text
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406239 --- Comment #3 from Alexander --- Sorry, I meant Breeze theme. I will try to change "Product" field now. Some time ago I found a theme that almost fit my needs. It is "April" theme for Plasma. This theme good as it is and has good contrast for selected items but I also changed its title bar color and made fonts completely black. After my last post I've tested a large number of GTK themes to find a suitable one but although some of them have desired contrast they also have various problems and inconsistencies in different applications. So I ended up modifying Breeze-gtk theme to make better contrast for selected text. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
