2019-05-14 Thread ric
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407547

Bug ID: 407547
Summary: Open new files in tabs does not work in windows
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ric.richte...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
On my system I have a Win7 and I recently downloaded Okular from
https://binary-factory.kde.org/view/Windows%2064-bit (presumably build 12).

Okular version 1.7.70

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go in okular menu to "Tools->Configure Okular..."
2. Under "General" activate "Open new files in tabs"
3. Close okular or keep it open, it does not matter. Ich checked the
   ~/AppData/Local/okular/okularpartrc and I find a line with
   "ShellOpenFileInTabs=true"
4. Open any two PDFs in Windows Explorer

OBSERVED RESULT
There will be two instances of Okular showing the PDFs in their own window.

EXPECTED RESULT
One instance of Okular is showing the two PDFs in two tabs.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Win7
macOS: -
Linux/KDE Plasma: -
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: -

First: While it might not be a bug "in" Krita. I disagree this isn't a bug
'with' Krita. If this was a windows program and the installer was broken; it
would be a bug. In the same way, I could not install the program according to
the official documentation/website instructions.

Secondly: I have reported the bug to the forum; as suggested.
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=139=160629

Third: This bug can be marked 'Resolved' because one of the developers has now
created the release file and while it might be a "testing" package, the
instructions now work and the PPA/repository can now be added.

[plasmashell] [Bug 406857] auto-hide fails after window demands attention

2019-05-14 Thread bugzilla_noreply

 Status|RESOLVED|REPORTED

This seems different to #394119 (I am the submitter of that bug)

In #394119, the panel will successfully autohide after all windows wanting
attention have received focus. The issue there is that workflow is disturbed by
having to focus other windows to re-hide the panel.

In this bug, OP describes that autohide remains broken even _after_ all windows
have received focus. A restart of plasmashell is required to reset the panel.

This bug might be solved by an accepted solution for #394119, but the behaviour
is definitely distinct and separate.

I changed the status back to 'Reported' because I never experienced the
specific behaviour described by OP, and noted that this bug may depend on
#394119

OP: you could try `killall plasmashell; sleep 3; kdeinit5_wrapper plasmashell`
and see if that works as a less intrusive kludge to temporarily fix the issue.

You could also try my patch from #394119 which completely prevents the panel
un-hiding when windows want attention.

"Open archives as folder" não fica bem traduzido como apenas "Abrir arquivos
como pasta".

"Archive" aqui se refere especificamente a arquivos compactados, e não a
arquivos em geral. No caso, a funcionalidade desta opção permite ver o conteúdo
de um arquivo compactado (por exemplo .zip ou .tar) diretamente no Dolphin como
se fosse uma pasta, em oposição ao comportamento padrão de abrir uma nova
instância do Ark.

Essa opção consta em Controle > Configurar o Dolphin... > Navegação.

Sugestão: "Abrir arquivos compactados como pasta".

I didn't try that. But I did figure out that the app's flatpak directory,
~/.var/app/org.kde.skrooge/ , contains a cache/ksycoca5_en_blahblah= file.
Despite multiple `flatpak update`s, that file remained last modified back in
December 2018. When I deleted it and ran the flatpak, OFX import appears!

So it works for me now, but this feels like a bug in the way KDE Flatpak
operates. It's unclear what should trigger a ksycoca5 rebuild, but a new
version of a program with new functionality ought to do it. FWIW my normal
Fedora ~/.cache/ksycoca5_en_blah= file was last modified yesterday, and I
didn't issue the kbuildsycoca5 command. (There is a
/var/lib/flatpak/runtime/org.kde.Platform/x86_64/5.12/blahblah/files/bin/kbuildsycoca5
binary in the KDE platform runtime, but I don't know how I would run it
"within" a flatpak.)

SUMMARY

When I press Ctrl-C while in Google Chrome's "omnibar" (URL bar), several (~4)
context menus appear. I have to press Esc or click "Cancel" four times for the
menu to go away. If I triple-click to select the entire URL, two context menus
appear.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to a website in Google Chrome (does not work if not on a valid webpage).
2. Highlight the entire URL.
3. Press Ctrl-C OR triple-click to select all text.

OBSERVED RESULT

URL is copied to the clipboard AND two-four identical, stacked context menus
appear.

EXPECTED RESULT

URL is copied to the clipboard and no context menus appear.

- Linux Ubuntu 18.04
- KDE 5.12.7

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- This does not happen in Firefox.
- It only happens when the text in the "omnibar" is a valid URL.
- The context bar contains the following items:
   - The text "HTML document - Actions For: "
   - Several applications (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
   - The text "Disable This Popup"
   - The text "Cancel"

That "hide popup after" does not apply to notifications marked as persistent.

Persistent popups stay there indefinitely until interacted with.
The plasma one goes away after 60 seconds as the client (plasma) deletes the
notification. It's not a timeout server side.

It's all working as intended, but it's definitely not intuitive given the
choice of labeling. I think we might want to reword that.

Base64 encoding will the file grow to 1105 million characters. With Qt's QChar
being 16-bit wide, it will need 2210 MB space, but Qt's containers only allow
2147 MB (2^31 bytes).

In other words, the backtrace will most certainly be the same as other
backtraces that document failed allocations from QArrayData::allocate().

Sorry, I meant Breeze theme. I will try to change "Product" field now.

Some time ago I found a theme that almost fit my needs. It is "April" theme for
Plasma. This theme good as it is and has good contrast for selected items but I
also changed its title bar color and made fonts completely black.

After my last post I've tested a large number of GTK themes to find a suitable
one but although some of them have desired contrast they also have various
problems and inconsistencies in different applications. So I ended up modifying
Breeze-gtk theme to make better contrast for selected text.

[kwin] [Bug 407541] New: Resurface window after covering application lsoes focus

2019-05-14 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407541

Bug ID: 407541
Summary: Resurface window after covering application lsoes
focus
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.15.4
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: core
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: colinder...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

In addition to the "Keep above option" on windows, I think it would be nice to
have an option to automatically resurface the window after any window covering
it loses focus.

It would be especially handy for multi-screen setups where you have a display
where you generally want something like a process monitor like "top" on top,
but then use another application that will temporarily cover the process
monitor window now and then. When you continue work on your other display, the
process monitor window would reappear.

They are centered, probably intentionally, but the header could use the same
centering.

Unfortunately there is no QHeaderView::setSectionAlignment() call; the
application has to create a custom model to set TextAlignmentRole.

Git commit 7df456404c26200ff6e36fc3d65aa39f2c6e7c3c by Nate Graham, on behalf
of John Gehrig.
Committed on 14/05/2019 at 20:37.
Pushed by ngraham into branch 'master'.

Crash in sddmthemeinstaller invalid use of errorString

Summary:
The destruction of KAuth::ExecuteJob* "job" is not handled properly when passed
as a parameter to KMessageBox.

An intermediate QString is created containing the error text. This value is
passed into the KMessageBox and qWarning() so that the object "job" is no
longer an input. The console error is now first so an error message displayed
even in the event of a GUI crash.
Related: bug 406718
FIXED-IN: 5.16.0

Test Plan: The patch has been applied to my system and the crash no longer
occurs.

Scrollbar issue caused by the very long label in front of the very long radio
option labels. Since I don't understand russian, I cannot decide if this is a
translation issue.

If both texts really need to be that verbose, then the label for the radio
buttons could be moved above the buttons.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407540

Bug ID: 407540
Summary: Missing EXIF parameter in DNG when converting
Panasonic RW2 images
   Product: digikam
   Version: 6.0.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Import-PostProcessing
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: dirk.vard...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Conversion of RAW images to DNG during import creates wrong EXIF data.
Camera: Panasonic DC-GX9
At least the "Lens Model" is missing in the DNG file.
This is critical, because images are displayed without any lens correction!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. import a RW2 image from Panasonic DC-GX9 using conversion to DNG
2. have a look to EXIF parameter: Lens is missing
3. convert the same image with Adobe DNG converter
4. have a look to EXIF parameter: Lens is mentioned
5. compare both converted iamges: images imported with DigiKam are distorted
