[SMSApp] Support plain-text MMS

## Summary

Not having support for MMS caused some minor problems, like in
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398889 . This patch adds basic MMS support
for plain-text MMS, including multi-target messages.

Android companion to
https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdeconnect-kde/merge_requests/97

Currently there are several rough areas:
  - Multi-target messages do not have the full list of recipients (I am
planning to work on this in another patch, because this one is already quite
large enough)
  - Parsing MMS is significantly slower than parsing SMS. This makes sense,
since we need to make significantly many more content:// calls for MMS. The
only solution I can think of here is to add the ability to request a range of
messages, which I need to do anyway, but which should not be part of this
patch.
  - The desktop app is totally busted with regard to multi-target MMS, but that
will also be fixed in another MR

## Test Plan

### Before:
Open SMS app on desktop, scroll through conversations, notice:
  - Any single-target message which had the most-recent message as an MMS does
not appear
  - Any multi-target MMS conversations do not appear

### After:
Open SMS app on desktop, notice:
  - Conversations which have an MMS as their most-recent message appear
  - MMS which consisted of only text are rendered correctly
  - Multi-target conversations are shown (though pretty busted, as said before.
Do not attempt to reply to one!)

Use elliptic curve as a default implicit curve

The current default implicit plot 'y∙sinx + x∙cosy = 1' scales badly on the big
area. This can be mitigated using some simpler but famous plot.

Hello,

Thanks for the tip "right click to clockwize", ti is very helpful.

I'm also very interested by video editing features, at least "trimming" would
be great :) Is it planned ?

By waiting, what do you use/recommand to basic video editing ?

Thanks, Bruno

I think this is because the notification intentionally never gains focus, and
the keyboard shortcut only applies to the currently-focused window.

Its purpose is to warn users that during exit Latte probably crashed and that
should Not happen because it may result to DATA Loss. So the user must take
steps to find out why Latte did not close properly. Most often an applet is
responsible for this AND it occurs also when Latte runs through terminal during
the session exit

Thanks a lot for the answer. Indeed, the key is hitting Esc twice to cancel the
current search.

Is this something obvious that i just happened to ignore or is it something
that should be documented somewhere? I looked into the okular handbook and web
site and i failed to find any mention that hitting Esc twice cancels the
current search.

A more visible way to make it obvious might be to add a "cancel search" option
somewhere (in the menu bar, where the shortcut would also be mentioned, or in
the search bar at the bottom).

Hitting Esc once has an obvious and visible effect in the various contexts
where it is applicable. But the double-Esc thing is not at all obvious, and i
am now wondering whether i also miss other uses of it in different contexts.

[plasmashell] [Bug 402913] Application Shortcuts Blocked by KDE

2019-06-09 Thread Jay T
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402913

Jay T changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||jay.tuckey+...@gmail.com

I'm running Ubuntu 19.04, and I have this problem also. It seems to be linked
to the 'Alt+~' keyboard shortcut to 'Walk Through Windows of Current
Application (Reverse)'

Here are my system details:
~> inxi -S
System:Host: jay-alien-ubu Kernel: 5.0.0-16-generic x86_64 bits: 64
Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.15.4
   Distro: Ubuntu 19.04 (Disco Dingo)
~> inxi
CPU: Dual Core Intel Core i3-4130T (-MT MCP-) speed/min/max: 798/800/2900 MHz
Kernel: 5.0.0-16-generic x86_64
Up: 22h 53m Mem: 2119.8/11951.3 MiB (17.7%) Storage: 931.51 GiB (23.2% used)
Procs: 255 Shell: fish 3.0.2
inxi: 3.0.33

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Global Shortcuts -> KWin -> Walk Through Windows of Current Application
(Reverse)
2. Map it to 'Alt+Shift+`' (Which becomes represented as 'Alt+~')
3. Go to another application, like the terminal, and try to use 'Alt+H' to
execute a shortcut. In the fish shell this will open a man page, for example.
-- Outcome: Cursor flashes, but shortcut doesn't work.

Workaround:
1. Open Global Shortcuts -> KWin -> Walk Through Windows of Current Application
(Reverse)
2. Unmap it, and apply.
3. Go to another application, like the terminal, and try to use 'Alt+H' to
execute a shortcut.
  -- Outcome: Shortcut works correctly.

Not sure what is going on here, but I'm happy to help investigate further if
needed.

How about for Debian/Ubuntu/KDE Neon?

I use KDE Neon (well, not as of late partly due to this bug) and I guess many
of the steps are similar, except for the fact I'm dealing with Debian packages.
Do I like, build KWin, then use checkinstall to create a package and install
the package, or what? :/

[krita] [Bug 408504] New: Krita 4.2.0 window does not tile to left or right side of screen

2019-06-09 Thread Chris Van Nooten
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408504

Bug ID: 408504
Summary: Krita 4.2.0 window does not tile to left or right side
of screen
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.2.1
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: chrisvannoo...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Krita 4.2.0 does not tile to left or right side of screen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Krita 4.2 or later on Ubuntu 18.04 or later
2. Open Krita
3. Attempt to tile window left or right (dragging to left or right edge or the
keyboard shortcut "winkey + left / right arrow")

OBSERVED RESULT
Does not tile the window to the left or right side of the screen

EXPECTED RESULT
Tile window on left or right side of the screen

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Ubuntu 19.04
Qt Version: 5.12.3
Gnome:3.32.1
and
Linux: Ubuntu 18.04
Qt Version: 5.9.5
Gnome:3.28.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can still tile on the Krita 4.1.5 app image on both versions of Ubuntu.
"Winkey + Shift + left/right arrow" still allows me to change the monitor
position of the window.
Other programs do tile by dragging or the above mentioned shortcut.
Attempted with the kritalime PPA, the snap package, the 4.2.1 (and 0) appimage
and the 4.3.0-prealpha from the kritalime PPA, problem persisted across all.

Obviously this isn't quite as easy as I thought. I just pushed patches to fix
the url handling so that part is fixed. Also the operation can also now be
canceled successfully in the event that this hang occurs without crashing or
other weirdness. The hang itself is the result kdiff3 sometimes not getting a
job finished notification. Not sure exactly where the problem is there.

I can confirm this on KDE Neon User edition/Kolourpaint flatpak.
It also prevents refocusing and minimizing the app by clicking it on the KDE
task bar, until Alt-Tabbing/bringing some other app to foreground.
If the colour selection area is floated/detached when resizing canvas, it
disappears.

[kwin] [Bug 408366] Border Size Adjustment Issues With KDE Plasma Version 5.12.8 And OSX_Aurorae Theme

2019-06-09 Thread dasmith

--- Comment #8 from dasm...@electronicaidesdesign.com

(In reply to Vlad Zagorodniy from comment #7)
> I cannot reproduce this bug on my computer.
>
> This can be either some issue on your machine/user account (one way to

> the issue is present) or "unknown" bug in Plasma 5.12.
>
> Also, it would be helpful if you could check whether this issue is present
> in recent Plasma releases.

Well, over this weekend I created a new user account and configured the desktop
all over from scratch using the configure desktop tool, which came with
openSUSE Leap 15.0 and KDE Plasma version 5.12.8. When I did the following
steps:

1. I went into the Configure Desktop > System Settings > Application Style >
Window Decorations > Look and Feel of Window Titles.

2. I clicked on the "Get New Decorations..." button to bring up the System
Settings Add-On Installer window.

3. In the Search field, I typed in: OSX_Aurorae and the OSX_Aurorae theme
should appear in the list of themes. Note: at the bottom left of this window, I
get a red X with a message which says: "Unknown Open Collaboration Service API
error. (405)", same as in my previous users account. I then clicked on the
"Install" button associated with the OSX_Aurorae theme to install it and then I
clicked on the "Close" button.

4. I now clicked on the OSX_Aurorae theme graphic example in the Look and Feel
of Window Titles. I tried either clicking on the Wrench icon or the Border Size
button to select the desired border size, such as "Normal". Note: the "Apply"
button is grayed out as though it was disabled, but click on the "Apply" button
anyway to apply the OSX_Aurorae theme setting.

OBSERVED RESULT

The results were the same as with my previous user account. The border size of
the Look and Feel of Window Titles window suddenly changes to huge and would
not change from huge, unless I select a different theme such as the Breeze
theme, Oxygen, etc. However, kwin doesn't seem to be crashing like it was in
the other user account.

EXPECTED RESULT

The window border size should change to the size selected from either clicking
on the Wrench icon in the OSX_Aurorae theme graphic example or clicking on the
Border Size button in the lower right corner of the Look and Feel of Window
Titles window, then click on the "Apply" button.

I don't know if the "Unknown Open Collaboration Service API error. (405)" whole
problem because it's happening with other style themes that are downloaded.

While not ideal, I've managed to work around this by launching Konsole without
DPI scaling and then reexporting the environment variable for applications
launched from within the shell. This gets rid of the horizontal line artifacts
without interfering with other applications.

To do this I changed konsole.desktop's `Exec` line from `konsole` to
`_QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS="$QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS" QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS=""
konsole` and I've added the following to my shell config:

# fish
set -xg QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS $_QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS
# bash
export QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS=$_QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408491

So I assume that getting gamut masks isn't possible just by moving some plugins
from newer krita into my older krita application package
..and if possible, then krita 4.1.7 wouldn't be able to access said plugins as
there's no code in older krita to invoke the plugin for gamut masks

Very sad about as I was waiting joyfully for this feature which I myself had
requested time ago. Apple isn't the same anymore.
There's a menu for scripts in krita but I don't know if this menu entry is
already usable in 2.1.7. A python script could generate a simple palette but
I've no idea his to do this.

This is specifically about the cascading menu structure that shows the
filesystem hierarchy accessed from Context menu > Move or Copy. The menu
becomes overwhelming and unusable once you navigate anywhere with a lot of
folders. Even beside that, the deeper your folder hierarchy, the more of the
screen it takes up.

What Nautilus does instead is to immediately open a file dialog and allow you
to select the location there. Gwenview does the same thing for its Move
to.../Copy to... functionality, so there's some precedent.

grateful.

Just tried it…almost there. But I apparently had a WCS error at the end of the

I’m hoping this isn’t major...

I'm sorry, but we're not going to backport this feature to a branch we're not
going to make releases from, and we're not going to support versions of macOS
that Qt doesn't support either. Apple has decided to introduce new API's and
retire old API's, and Apple is always right. If you decide to use macOS, you
should be prepared to let Apple decide what's best for you, and always, without
a moment's hesistation, follow their lead and do what they tell you. That's
what being an Apple user is all about, after all.

video showing repro method in VirtualBox

This bug is still present in current Git (Kate package version in KDE neon
Developer Edition: 4:19.04.2+p18.04+git20190606.1109-0). I have attached a new
video showing how to repro this bug consistently in Virtualbox. Here's how:
1. Configure the VM for two monitors.
2. Set the primary and monitor to 800 x 600 and the secondary monitor to 1024 x
768.
3. Open Kate, drag it to the second monitor and resize it, then close it.
4. Open Kate again.

Result: Kate does not remember the new size.

Is there a way to stop Kate from remembering its window size altogether? I have
set KDE's window rules to enforce a specific screen location and size on
startup, but Kate overrides this with its own values, and combined with this
bug makes for a frustrating experience.

What is the base currency of your KMM file, the base currency of this account,

Well thanks, considering the number of hours that I put into getting KStars to
work on Macs, and then the build scripts, etc. If something like this is
preventing it from working on some computers, I think that needs to be fixed.
So yes I did put in some time trying to fix it.

I am in Wilmington Delaware, USA.

In order to make KStars use the external, homebrew based astrometry.net, you
would need to go into the Astrometry settings in the align panel and uncheck
the box that makes it use the internal solver and make sure it has the right
path to the solver. I will send a screenshot.

I can still confirm that with Okular 1.7.2. It does not affect all actions, e.

SUMMARY
I'm running the latest Plasma version(5.15.5) with Arch Linux on an XPS 13, and
have modified some touchpad settings. The problem is that after resuming from
hibernation, these settings seem to reset. The scrolling is reversed and tap to
click is disabled. The touchpad settings menu doesn't indicate that there is a
settings mismatch. I've tried most of the workarounds I've been able to find on
google, all to no avail. This issue does not occur after a suspend, only after
a hibernation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Follow the Arch Wiki to set up hibernation to a swap partition on an XPS 13
9343
2. Change the touchpad settings and hibernate.

OBSERVED RESULT
The settings will reset after resuming from hibernation. Restarting the
touchpad service does not help.

EXPECTED RESULT
I would expect the touchpad settings to stick after a hibernation.

[krita] [Bug 408491] New: No gamut masks

2019-06-09 Thread Jo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408491

Bug ID: 408491
   Summary: No gamut masks
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.2.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Color Selectors
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: jo.y.v...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I know gamut masks were introduced before version 4.2, but these gamut masks
show up only in version 4.2
Now my problem is that my computer works very well but I can't upgrade it
higher than 10.11 due to hardware requirements I assume

EXPECTED RESULT
Krita Version 4.2 requires Mac 10.12, and honestly I don't accept Apples quick
and arbitrary update strategy. So much that I installed Linux weeks ago but
there I can't work as usual. Krita 4.2 works flawlessly on my Linux
installation so why it shouldn't on my Mac 10.11?
New Mac Os versions introduced nothing useful just eye candy. So why bother and
follow such useless update policies?

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: 10.11
Krita: 4.1.7

I'm relatively new to KDE, skipped the 4.x series completely (and do you blame
me?) so I'm not exactly sure where to look here.

Seems that this is not reproducible anymore whithout Trim Margins enabled, so
people adapted this bug report to include it.

[okular] [Bug 330643] Trim Margins resets View Mode

2019-06-09 Thread David Hurka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330643

Confirmed with Okular 1.7.2.

It’s simple: Every tab is a Part, and when changing the view mode in a Part, it
is written to the configuration file. (Only the viewport position is stored
per-document.)

Trim margins changes the page geometries, and thus calls slotRelayoutPages().
That will calculate a new layout (i. e. move the pages closer together because
they don’t have margins anymore), but has to read the View Mode (the “layout
mode”) from the configuration file.

The bug could be expressed: Parts don’t syncronize their View Mode, so changing
the View Mode in one Part makes the others unsynchronized to the configuration
file.

Whoops, I've submitted an empty bug report accidentally. Below is the full
report.

SUMMARY
When randomly playing with the Analogue Clock widget I found out it doesn't
display '3' on the left side in some dates (03, 13, 23).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Analogue Clock
2. Click on any date that ends with '3'

OBSERVED RESULT
The date is displayed without the '3' (for example '0' instead of '03')

EXPECTED RESULT
The date is displayed correctly.

This is on Windows, but I searched the DigiKam install directory, and there is
no libmagick++ library. I see that there are installs from ImageMagick for
Windows, so I wonder if this is just a case of a forgotten link to the library
for Windows? I have the Microsoft Codecs bought and installed for my machine
so it supports heic thumbnails anyhow outside of DigiKam.

Please investigate which files.

It could be an app doesn't correctly supply a cleanup script at which point the
fault lies with that app.
