in the panel it will popup the last menu I selected. I just confirmed boospy's

I does work, aka you get a context menu and that will insert a icon name.

But it is really very useless for most people, therefore for 19.08 it will be
at least no longer loaded by default. (no idea why we loaded it ever by
default, given its user base is 1% of our users)

Agreed - "K" apps I have tried now work correctly - CTL keys reflect the
current selected keyboard layout - most likely upstream from kate / kwrite.
Closed for me too - thanks.

[frameworks-kio] [Bug 406810] Dolphin and Konqueror consume a lot of CPU when Plasma Vault or encfs directory is open for a while

2019-07-13 Thread Johannes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406810

Another interesting observation (the encrypted EncFS folder is mounted to a
folder in the home directory):

First opening the home folder in Dolphin, then mounting the EncFS folder =>
everything OK.

First mounting the EncFS folder, then opening the home folder in Dolphin =>
100% load.

It seems this bug is not limited to encrypted folders anymore. When I open my
(unencrypted) home directory, Dolphin immediately starts consuming 100% of one
CPU. The only error I see upon running it from command line is 'kf5.kio.core:
"Could not enter folder tags:/."'

This started in 5.16.2 and continues into 5.16.3. I am gonna leave my
kdeglobals and my fontconfig. The Noto fonts were updated to "20190111-2" but
this did not help the matter either. Fonts work fine with vendor default

I'm sure he means the preview and uses the embedded preview image. The embedded
image has WhatsApp level (1616x1080) in size. Since we keep the proportions
consistent, it is zoomed to the original size at the 100% view (also because of
facial rectangles). This makes it look blurry. He has to set the preview in
half RAW size.

SUMMARY
Can't make "Modified" column leftmost any more (could in version 2.4 on KDE 4)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Krusader in Debian 10 XFCE
2. Drag "Modified" column leftward
3. Can't get it all the way to left edge

OBSERVED RESULT Stops at "Name" column

EXPECTED RESULT Stops at left edge

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

/usr/share/qt5" directories

Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Name and Modified columns are the most important columns in a file list, as
one is often interested in recent files. The Modified column is fixed size
(depending only on date/time format), while the Name column is unbounded.
Having the Name column leftmost can result in Modified being pushed off too far
to see without horizontal scrolling or Name being so narrow as to require
column widening (as opposed to simple scrolling) to see the full name.

This seems to be a problem in recent Krusaders per se, as other KDE software
works quite nicely on XFCE. (Debian's dependency resolution brings in lots of
KDE libraries automatically.

The resize must be invoked only when the icon size is really changed, and we
have two types of view (brief/detailed). I don't know if a bare cycle is the
