One of the benefits of Plasma's customizability is that you can satisfy your
own aesthetic preferences; it's simple to switch to different Plasma and icon
themes if you don't like the defaults. This might be what you're looking for:

Beyond that, I'm not unsympathetic to the argument that flat monochrome icons
aren't the prettiest out there. They're not my favorite either. I'm quite fond
of ElementaryOS's icons, which I think perfectly thread the needle between
simplicity and beauty. I think they're really classy and have presence and
style without being overwhelming when a ton of them are visible at once. The
Breeze icon theme's colorful icons are in that ballpark, though not quite as
good IMO. One of my goals is to move the colorful icons slowly in that
direction.

What you're proposing amounts to not using any flat monochrome icons anymore.
There are more than a thousand of these and replacing them all with redesigned
colorful icons would be both an enormous amount of work, and also represent a
significant design change. As such, the request goes significantly beyond the
scope of a bug report. I would encourage you to get involved with the KDE VDG
(Visual Design Group), which is where we determine the visual direction of the
default settings.

Hi,

As far as I know, I have painted with Krita for a couple of continuous hours
and could not reproduce what you have reported. Maybe it is some specific way
of painting (the brush engine and preset you use, the size of your canvas,
whether you turn on canvas acceleration, or the tablet you have) or the system
environment (software versions) that leads to this crash so we need more
detailed information to investigate into your problem. Also I recommend sending
a backtrace together with your report (on how to get one please see
https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/dr_minw_debugger.html#dr-minw if you
are using Windows; on Linux, please use `gdb -p PID-OF-KRITA
LOCATION-TO-KRITA-BINARY` and then enter `thread apply all bt` --- you may need
to prepend `sudo` to the first command if it does not work). It will make the
investigation easier in some ways. 

Since there is little useful information currently in your report, I have
changed the status to `needsinfo`. For a better resolution of your problem, the
best way is to provide us with more detailed information on the crash. Thank
you for your understanding.

I don't know exactly how to solve this. but I take it :)

there is some strange condition in deviceSettingDescriptionExifToKMD that
provokes the lastIndex to always be below "index" for this particular image.

exiting the loop if lastIndex is negative and getting the first 4 bytes gives
in metadata -> List.

Don't mimic after Apple, Microsoft and Google! The monochrome mania is the
worst thing ever happened to the 21st Century!

Please, return back Crystal Icons theme and optionally dismiss Breeze theme as
the artwork quality goes from worst to best in that order: Breeze, Oxygen,
Crystal.

I had to reinstall PCLInuxOS and hance had to reinstall KMyMoney.

I used to be able to go to Settings and there was an option to update the
system settings for Date.  That option does not seem to exist anymore.

Can you let me know where to find this now, please?

I had installed gnome, run under wayland, and create 50 windows od gedit(and
then gnome-terminal) - performance is ok. Then i make 50 windows of
ksysguard(uses wayland mode) - faced slow rendering, with konsole same
situation.

So: 
1. GTK applications correct informs gnome compositor about opaque surfaces.
2. KDE/Qt applications always in transclucent mode. 
3. GTK applications is always in transclucent mode under kwin compisition.


Maybe kwin-wayland doesn't uses opaque flag and always goes to the transclucent
composition for all window? And second problem - that the Qt applications
nothing inform about opaque surfaces, and compositors take default value as
opaque = true.

Workaround:

In the System Settings -> Background Services -> Startup and Shutdown.

I unticked KScreen 2, this stops it from starting automatically.

KAlarm now checks at startup for duplicate resources (i.e. which use the same
calendar file), and removes any that it finds. The only way that the situation
which you report should now be able to arise is if a duplicate resource is
manually created (e.g. with akonadiconsole) while KAlarm is running, in which
case restarting KAlarm would fix it.

Fixed by commit b814c1a1f678b7585ec778e40b935690bcafe2d5, in KAlarm version
2.12.5, which will be in the KDE Applications 19.08.0 release.

Since KDE display configuration is broken (and by other reasons) it is better
to configure displays via xorg.conf. But after that KDE starts to display bogus
dialog asking to change display mode. How to disable it completely and tell KDE
to not try to reconfigure displays?

SUMMARY
Copying something from my phone (platform) to KDE Neon (OS) doesn't always
work. Copying something on the OS does work instantly on my phone however.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On "Filename" tab hit "Find and Replace" and add new rule where you search
for a single " " (space) and replace with anything (i.e. single "_"
(underscore)
2. save settings
3. load settings you just saved
4. edit your rule. The "Find" field is empty.

EXPECTED RESULT

Find field should contain " "

SUMMARY

If I add a small video and an .mp3 to the track and render the project it takes
about 4 hours and has 20 minutes of extra blank space for seemingly no reason.

My format was .mp4, but this shoudn't really matter. Quality settings are
default.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open apt based kdenlive make simple project (HD 1080p 30fps)
2. Add Video and audio and render
3. See 20 minutes of extra dead space

OBSERVED RESULT
20 minutes of extra dead space and about 600% extra render time

EXPECTED RESULT
Much faster renders and video should match timeline and not have extra dead
space in it.

I did try with the Plasma panel, and it lets me move windows to the top of
non-panel screens. There is a slight snapping bump at the panel height, but it
still lets me move the window to the top.

I've attaching screenshots of my three monitor layout, and one of the right
monitor with Dolphin as high as I can move it.

I tried 6.2-pre (July 25) version and the preference for Icon Theme no longer
gives an option for Dark icons, such as Breeze Dark.  The only option is "Use
Icon Theme From System".  I have restarted Digikam several times.
