Glad to here it. The issue your experiencing does not seem to happen on my
system. There is no error or crash on 1.8 or master. The change cited by git
bisect creates to simple wrapper functions. Literally just one-liners identical
to what was already there. Closing this as it seems to work for you. I cann't
do anything more to track it down based on the information you provided.

Hi,

I'm also having the same issue as shown in the screen recording.

Laptop model: Lenovo E480
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.60.0
Qt Version: 5.13.0
Linux Kernel: 5.2.5

lspci -v output for audio device:
00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio (rev 21)
Subsystem: Lenovo Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 64, IRQ 144
Memory at f152 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Memory at f151 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Capabilities:
Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel
Kernel modules: snd_hda_intel, snd_soc_skl

Using the same software in my other laptop (Slimbook Pro) everything works
good. I don't know if the issue shows up when you change the volume levels, it
becomes zero/muted and you cannot change it anymore. Not fully sure this is
true, but I suspect so.

When you click on the mute volume button, you see the bar highlights a bit, but
volume level stays zero. When you adjust the volume, bar darkens again
indicating it got muted again.

I hope a solution is found shortly.

Thank you!

[yakuake] [Bug 410524] New: Window focus lost after renaming session using keyboard shortcut

2019-08-02 Thread Logan Dethrow
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410524

Bug ID: 410524
Summary: Window focus lost after renaming session using
keyboard shortcut
   Product: yakuake
   Version: 3.0.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: goldsatur...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Yakuake loses focus when I rename a terminal session using the keyboard
shortcut. I believe this is a recent regression because I use yakuake daily and
I first noticed it after I upgraded to Ubuntu 19.04.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Give focus to another program (firefox, etc.)
2. Expand already running yakauke terminal with F12
3. Press Ctrl+Alt+S to begin editing the "Shell No. 1" name of the terminal
session
4. Edit the session name
5. Press Enter

OBSERVED RESULT
Keyboard input is not sent to the terminal. This state persists until I click
on the yakuake window. Its unclear where the keyboard input is being sent to,
it doesn't appear to be directed to the window that was active before expanding
yakuake with F12.

EXPECTED RESULT
As soon as the new terminal session name is saved, keyboard input should
immediately be directed back to the terminal. No mouse usage should be
required, since that would defeat the purpose of using yakuake and keyboard
shortcuts.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 19.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I believe my Kwin settings are pretty standard, I use click to focus, low focus
stealing protection, and "click raises window" is enabled.

Thanks and let me know if more information about my setup is needed to try to
reproduce this.

Reproducible on Kubuntu 19.04, Plasma 5.16.3. Could this be another side effect
of the switch libinput? The system notification KCM is completely grayed out,
and the System Settings side bar shows two entries for Notifications.

FWIW: the Mouse KCM broke due to the library switch to make it Wayland
compatible, suddenly missing configuration items.

The bug is caused by CSS used for removing 1px margin in Konsole:
"QTabWidget::tab-bar, QTabWidget::pane { margin: 0; }".
The line is drawn even in Breeze, but it is placed below tabs and is hidden by
terminal.

Moving back to Konsole.

Git commit 43a6204349a75a0b5d37142c2e55a7d4d752 by Kai Uwe Broulik.
Committed on 02/08/2019 at 15:41.
Pushed by broulik into branch 'master'.

Improved OSD behavior

Don't ask the user for a screen configuration on login, instead, apply a sane
default.
When connecting a new screen, apply a default configuration so the user gets
immediate
feedback "something's happening" and then prompt for a configuration via the
OSD in case
the chosen default doesn't fit.

[krita] [Bug 410433] Crashes to Desktop when Scaling to New Size

2019-08-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410433

Actually, I just noticed that there was a message that said: "Intel Graphics
Drivers tend to have issues with OpenGL so ANGLE will be used by default. You
may manually switch to OpenGL but it is not guaranteed to work properly."

So, it was saying (Default) OpenGL - ANGEL wasn't an option. But, I set it to
OpenGL (without the word "Default" included) and it fixed another problem that
just showed up today. I opened a completed file and the canvas was completely
black, but now the image shows up. I tried the resize again and it still
crashes to the desktop. Also, when I have 2 files open in Krita and try to only
close 1, Krita crashes to the Desktop again.

FYI, I've done a complete computer scan for viruses with Kaspersky Total
Security and a Malware scan with Malwarebytes (free) and neither scan found any
problems.

[kdenlive] [Bug 410486] extract frame extracts wrong frame

2019-08-02 Thread tdo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410486

Better, but not yet completely correct: it is off by one frame, at least with
the 29.97fps source clip I'm currently working with. The updated appimage
captures one frame *too early*, at least for the frame I randomly tested.

Maybe this could be some rounding issue that's different between what the clip
playback monitor does and the updated frame extraction calculation?

For reference: when running my script on the frame I randomly tested, it
extracts the same frame as shown in the clip monitor.

Tested with today's 19.07.90-beta-x86_64.appimage.

After renaming ~/.local/share/kxmlgui5/okular/part.rc and
~/.local/share/kxmlgui5/okular/shell.rc

The menu text is correctly displayed.

This was a new install, the only changes I'd made were to customise the
tool-bar.

I'll attach those two files to this report.

Next I'll progressively re-apply those customisations to see if the issue
re-appears.

I can confirm the issue in case of semi-transparent pixels being painted over

Does it sound like the same issue that you have? I couldn't recognize from your
screenshot if the white rectangles are only in the previously semi-transparent
areas or not. Can you please confirm/deny this?

Don't try to generate LoD cache when the source device is empty

Our "empty" devices have a weird extent (qintmax, qintmax, 0, 0),
which makes the LoD generation algorithm crash when it tries to read
from qintmax-tile. So we should just check it.

Color Model : RGB/Alpha
Depth : 8-bit integer/channel
Profile : sRGB-elle-V2-srgbtrc.icc
Just the default settings. And it's reproducible with all brush presets.

It has to be on the same layer, and painted with brush blending mode, not the
layer blending mode.

2019-08-02 Thread Paul
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410517

Bug ID: 410517
Summary: Menu-bar missing the text string for "File",
"Settings", and "Help".
   Product: okular
   Version: 1.6.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: pip@gmx.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

The menu-bar is missing the text string for "File", "Settings", and "Help",
these are shown as "No text".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Launch okular.

OBSERVED RESULT

The menu-bar is missing the text string for "File", "Settings", and "Help".

EXPECTED RESULT

Text string for "File", "Settings", and "Help" is correctly shown.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux: openSUSE Leap 15.1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.8
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.97.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I'm unsure if this is a bug per se, or caused by a missing package perhaps.
(YaST2 Software Management indicates all dependencies are met).

If this is due to a missing package, what package would contain those strings?
(The system is running with en-GB as the language).

2019-08-02 Thread David REVOY
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410426

I think the document had a reference, yes, and I deleted it probably a couple
of minute before the crash. (it was an empty reference frame; a ref with a
broken absolute path because I renamed my folder). I probably painted more than
two minutes after that and I had no autosave after, I had to redo.
