Oh!! I didnt know that Latte could run with Gnome(Wayland) session! So nice
news!

5. Just run in your terminal the commmand "env" and send here the output
6. What is your screen resolution?
7. Try to run Latte from terminal with command, latte-dock -d --with-window, a
debug window will appear. After the dock is positioned faulty please make a
screenshot of your desktop including the debug window.

Info: My best guess is that Qt faulty returns a screen resolution that it is
not the proper one based on the screen scaling you have applied and the debug
window will point that.

Your excellent command of English leads me to believe you know what the word
"Importance" means.

I want a better bug reporting UI as much as anyone, but KDE's sysadmins are in
the middle of the GitLab transition and there is no bandwidth available for
improving Bugzilla at this point in time. After that, there are essentially two
options:
- Move from Bugzilla to GitLab issues
- Upgrade out Bugzilla instance to a new version, which has a better UI

Given those options it doesn't seem to make any sense to put resources into the
current rather old Bugzilla instance.

I will confirm this. It happens on all sizes canvases, but it is very notorious
in big canvas as the one in the attached screenshot (5600 x 7200)

released. Im not sure when we will be able to fix this properly.

[systemsettings] [Bug 413309] SDDM looks much worse after Settings synchronization

2019-10-27 Thread Filip Fila
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413309

Yeah so in general this is actually a general Plasma feature. Some Plasma
themes and color schemes trigger the lock, logout and login screens to go into
alternative color mode. Text becomes black and the wallpaper fader doesn't
darken the image but brightens it.

Example:
https://phabricator.kde.org/file/data/nooj6nc2ci5fj2kixuf3/PHID-FILE-tblhfhdwciwta3v76qfm/Screenshot_20180916_184052.png

It's a bit of a bigger task to rethink this whole thing. FWIW I can reproduce
the "feature".

  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 123530
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123530=edit
Screenshot of before closing the program and after opening.

I have noticed whenever I put in some tools onto the toolbar (specifically in
the BrushesAndStuff section), they disappear when I restart the program.

To recreate this...

-Tools> configure toolbars> Put almost any tool (Ex. "Activate brush 1") into
the toolbar.
-Close the program, then reopen
-In order to bring back the tools, configure toolbars> take out a tool and put
it back into the toolbar.

I use Windows 10, and my current model of Krita is 4.2.7.1. Thank you.

That probably means that you don't have the right media codecs installed (and
if so, we need to improve the messaging there).

Can you open elisa from the command line by running `elisa` and seeing if
anything shows up in the terminal output when you try to add songs to the

You can CC yourself on issues you care about and do a search for issues you're
CCd on. Adding a link to the bugs you're CCd on to the home page would probably
suffice to implement the requested feature.

The home page already has a link to this called "Open bugs reported by me".

Git commit a930be4876104ea4a0c5332b85b625240e45fd72 by Albert Astals Cid.
Committed on 27/10/2019 at 23:01.
Pushed by aacid into branch 'Applications/19.08'.

Fix crash on exit while uninstalling a theme

We need to make the thememanager return a reference to its list of
themes, this way, takeAt in ThemeModel::removeRows actually removes
the theme from the thememanager too and thus this way there's no attempt
at double delete on shutdown

Fixed in Plasma 5.17.1 recently. Buster has Plasma 5.14.5, which is quite old
at this point.

YOu can limit the search results to files. As for not matching "hello-pdf.doc"
with a search for "*.pdf", that seems like it would actually mess some people
up (e.g. what if there's a file called file.pdf.gz that you might want to
find).

[systemsettings] [Bug 413530] New: Add option to edit language formats system wide (/etc/locale.conf)

2019-10-27 Thread Thanos Apostolou
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413530

Bug ID: 413530
Summary: Add option to edit language formats system wide
(/etc/locale.conf)
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.17.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm_formats
  Assignee: se...@kde.org
  Reporter: thanosaposto...@outlook.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
One feature I am missing from Gnome, is the option to edit globally (system
wide) the language formats (regional settings). If you can add either
1) an extra tab at the systemsettings formats kcm to edit the formats system
wide
or
2) a "apply system wide" button at the current formats kcm page, similar to the
"sync" button of the sddm kcm, which will apply the current formats
configuration to /etc/locale.conf (the actual path may be needed to be
configurable, since I don't know if all distributions are using the same file).

This doesn't match my experience at all. I have a touchscreen laptop and a
single touch is mapped to single-click perfectly. Is that not what you're
seeing? Is this limited to Plasma, or does it affect apps too?

I agree.

The problem here is that sort order is presented as a mode, and modes are
immutable. If we're in "sort by name" mode, then we always sort by name.
Allowing you to break out of the mode by dragging icon is a violation of your
expectations and the way the option is presented.

macOS handles this in a more elegant way IMO:
- There are immutable sort modes where items cannot be manually ore-ordered
- In the "manual" sort mode, there is a command to "Arrange icons by
name/date/size/etc." which will re-arrange the icons to be sorted by the chosen
order, but without entering a specific sort mode.

(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #4)

Thanks! I went ahead and submitted to phabricator. I just wasn't sure if I
should get a separate ticket going since it's not technically a change to
Dolphin. My submission is at https://phabricator.kde.org/D24993, and I
referenced this ticket.

If that change gets accepted, the change to Dolphin is a simple one-liner to to
take advantage. Let me know if I should do that as well, otherwise I'll hold
off until the current change gets through.

This got lost with the Libinput KCM. The accessibility-related features were
recently re-added in https://phabricator.kde.org/D22823, but this feature
wasn't included.

I would advocate for putting it in the Accessibility KCM alongside the others,
since it is basically an accessibility feature and strictly speaking doesn't
belong on the Mouse page (you can double-click with a touchpad too).
