[lattedock] [Bug 413461] Latte-dock is badly positioned on Debian Wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413461 Michail Vourlakos changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED --- Comment #6 from Michail Vourlakos --- Oh!! I didnt know that Latte could run with Gnome(Wayland) session! So nice news! 5. Just run in your terminal the commmand "env" and send here the output 6. What is your screen resolution? 7. Try to run Latte from terminal with command, latte-dock -d --with-window, a debug window will appear. After the dock is positioned faulty please make a screenshot of your desktop including the debug window. Info: My best guess is that Qt faulty returns a screen resolution that it is not the proper one based on the screen scaling you have applied and the debug window will point that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[bugs.kde.org] [Bug 413344] Importance field is unclear

The problem is this doesn't define what the > field contains (and has no clear relevance). Imagine I tell you about the > Oumuamua field which my sister's school added. When you ask me what it > contains, I tell you my sister and her colleagues use it to optimize their > work. I then ask you what is the difference between records whose Oumuamua > is A10 and those whose Oumuamua value is C1. How would you answer? Your excellent command of English leads me to believe you know what the word "Importance" means. I want a better bug reporting UI as much as anyone, but KDE's sysadmins are in the middle of the GitLab transition and there is no bandwidth available for improving Bugzilla at this point in time. After that, there are essentially two options: - Move from Bugzilla to GitLab issues - Upgrade out Bugzilla instance to a new version, which has a better UI Given those options it doesn't seem to make any sense to put resources into the current rather old Bugzilla instance. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The problem here is that sort order is presented as a mode, and modes are immutable. If we're in "sort by name" mode, then we always sort by name. Allowing you to break out of the mode by dragging icon is a violation of your expectations and the way the option is presented. macOS handles this in a more elegant way IMO: - There are immutable sort modes where items cannot be manually ore-ordered - In the "manual" sort mode, there is a command to "Arrange icons by name/date/size/etc." which will re-arrange the icons to be sorted by the chosen order, but without entering a specific sort mode. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
