[digikam] [Bug 418645] DNG files appear purple

2020-03-08 Thread Martin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418645

I am reading on the Adobe Website:

"Linear (demosaiced): The image data is stored in an interpolated
(“demosaiced”) format. This option is useful if a camera’s particular mosaic
pattern is not supported by a DNG reader. The default mosaic format maximizes
the extent of data preserved. Mosaic image data can be converted to linear
data, but the reverse is not possible."

For one, I want to avoid processing hundreds of images and a possible reduction
of data does not seem like good option. This is why I didn't do it 2009
(about). The hint comes from that too: the DNG reader has a problem with the
Fujicolor S3's data. I saw someone with an S5 having the same issue using
Affinity on Mac.

2020-03-08 Thread Ben
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414396

No problem.
# dpkg --configure -a
(no message, all clean, nothing was left unconfigured)

# apt-get install --reinstall kde-config-sddm
(all the messages)

So, nothing has changed.

Be sure. If the hammer is broken, then it makes no sense to change the nails.
;-)

But! I started a Kubuntu 20.04 current iso with Plasma 5.18.1 into RAM. And
tested the same. It works quite different and very clean.

With my Kubuntu 19.10 installation I tested more variations. And I discovered
more abnormalities. I'm sorry, I won't go on. I stick to my strategy and copy
/etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf to /etc/sddm.conf. This helps me to hold my
system clean. Otherwise it costs me too much time.

I repeat myself. I just did a simple installation with the 'minimal' option.
Then added the PPA for Plasma 5.17 / 5.18 and only made alternately with
apt-get and Discover upgrades. Maybe this mix is the problem. No longer will do
this.

I only do a new installation with 20.04 LTS. When 5.18.3 is in the repos. On a
new partition. To compare with 19.10.

> Actually, why are you getting this "half-configured" message?

It's not me, it's the package system. ;-)
The status message 'half-configured' is the message before 'installed'.
I have no doubt that this could be wrong. ;-)

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised, the only thing I miss for now

As we can read in the bug report above, flatpaks need xsettingsd on Plasma.

2020-03-08 Thread Andrius Štikonas

The bug is likely in partitionmanager src/gui/parttablewidget.cpp in void
PartTableWidget::setPartitionTable function.

It seems that for every partition table we are looping over it's children and
call w->setFileSystemColorCode(GuiHelpers::fileSystemColorCodesFromSettings());

Yet there is no attempt to iterate over deeper levels of children.

I tested Kubuntu 19.10 with 5.18.2 (backports). Everything works. I used the
exact same themes and even added a custom background.

It should also be impossible for the Sync function to save the theme since
that's not what its code does. There should be no reason for Kubuntu and Arch
to behave differently.

Sorry, I have tried everything at this point. I can reopen if another user
shows up or investigate further if you post the following:
1) output of 'apt list kde-config-sddm' (I can't see it in your logs because
all they show is KDE Frameworks and Applications, there is not a single Plasma
package there)
2) if the output of the command above shows 5.18.2 is installed then a screen
recording of the issue

I am using the regular stable version of Manjaro KDE.

To confirm it isn't my setup I tried the same thing on another PC that has had
almost no use since the Manjaro install, and it has the same result. Maybe
something weird that Manjaro did on packaging?

OK thanks.

Anyway, I have finally found version 2.3.0 of libqca-qt5-2 in

Now I have realized that compiling and installing libqca-qt5-2-2.3.0 didn't
solve dependency problem on my system, instead Synaptic did by installing the
updated deb package.

The applet works just fine when use Latte in Single Layout mode. It breaks only

the Latte code needs to be adjusted in order to suppport it just like it is

'Apply' creates bullshit, from systemsettings5's point of view.
With 'Sync' it works.

Sorry, this was the very last time I explained it. No longer. I've done it
often enough.

[KEXI] [Bug 418582] Kexi form design colour choices overidden in current Manjaro

Jarosław Staniek changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||stan...@kde.org

Hi Ian.
You got it close to the original assumption in KEXI: OS style shall not
override WYSIWYG behavior of the app.

Benefit of this default is that, if you open the same project on Windows or Mac
you get similar sizes and colors as these originally designed. Especially sizes
can be very different otherwise (if we follow the style) and can easily
misplace the GUI elements, since we're not supporting Qt layouts at the moment
(there was an honest attempt in KEXI 0.x).

That said, it does not mean KEXI won't offer a swich, which, if enabled, more
or less follows the system style. The same goes for colors and icons.

Forthermore, KEXI's form designer is not Qt Designer which only designs layout
and unless colors are set explicitly, system style will be used at run time.

Any developers or sponsors who, can support the "use OS look and feel"
behavior. Until then it is secondary item on the feature plans.

PS1: I imagine, by the way, serious testing and adjusting of the behavior is
needed for the increasingly common HiDPI, setups like 4K or 6K displays where
our GUI elements need resizing. Some them do resize, I think, thanks to how
they are implemented at Qt level but their positions do not adjust, since as
said above, there are no layouts in use.
So because we're still computing sizes and positions in physical pixels (in
forms, not reports), I am not sure why there are even no bug reports for
potential issues :) Myself, I do not have access to such resolutions; not only
to PC monitors but also Macs are way too expensive.

PS2: Editing of bug description is not possible at the moment and it is
annoying to me as well.

[kate] [Bug 409940] Undo cursor move

mickael.bo...@linux.com changed:

I would like to implement this in Kate.
How :
- connect a slot to KTextEditor::View::cursorPositionChanged()
- fill a map> in this slot
- register the actions "undo move cursor" and "redo move cursor in the View
menu with their associated shortcuts and the hardcoded shortcuts ctrl + "mouse
previous/next button"
- when the action is triggered, apply it on the current view and update the
map[view] list accordingly.

In a second commit:
- allow to discard jumps when the relative cursor move is less than N lines
- allow to limit the lists sizes (I doubt this will save a lot of memory but
the original post only suggests to undo few bad keystrokes).

On my own wishlist:
- allow to configure the mouse buttons actions but I did not see any easy
option in the KDE framework. The Kate tab bar already use the "mouse
previous/next button" but I don't use the tab bar, thus the "mouse
previous/next button" are a good mouse shortcut for me.

Any suggestions before I try this?

2020-03-08 Thread Charlemagne Lasse
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418643

Bug ID: 418643
Summary: Dynamic album playlist not repopulating queue
   Product: amarok
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Playlists/Dynamic Playlists
  Assignee: amarok-bugs-d...@kde.org
  Reporter: charlemagnela...@gmail.com
CC: ralf-eng...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: kf5

I am using a git snapshot from 2020-02-16 as amarok because Debian removed Qt4
support today. As it turns out, it already does mostly what you would expect
from Amarok. But something weird is going on with the album dynamic playlist

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. populate your local database
2. clear current playlist/queue
3. go to Playlists -> Dynamic playslists.
4. Set Previous to 5 and Upcoming to 10
5. double click on "Album play"
6. start to play the tracks
7. press next 10 times

OBSERVED RESULT

I've reached the end of the playlist and no previous track was removed from the
playlist.

I can work around the missing new entry by pressing "repopulate" whenever I
reach the end of the playlist. But this will also not remove the already played
entries (older then the "previous" setting)

EXPECTED RESULT

* Only 5 previously played tracks are still shown
* new entries are automatically added without requiring me to press
"repopulate"

Exactly as Adam says - it is the first terminal which does not let me change
copy/paste shortcuts to ctrl+c/ctrl+v. Very disappointing, especially Konsole
allows that. Is there any particular reason for that?

Thank you for your bug report. Which version of Dolphin are you using? Linux
Mint 18.1 is a rather old LTS distribution - it's easily possible that your
issue is already fixed in a newer version of Dolphin.

Can confirm, but that's probably an issue in KIO (or maybe KFileMetaData, or
Baloo).

[parley] [Bug 418639] New: Compose key input not working

2020-03-08 Thread Nicholas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418639

Bug ID: 418639
Summary: Compose key input not working
   Product: parley
   Version: 19.12
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: parley-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: nicho...@nitric.co.za
  Target Milestone: ---

I am unable to type Portuguese characters such as á or ç using compose key.
Compose key works in other apps.

I use Unity on Ubuntu but in effort to resolve this problem i installed Plasma
via kubuntu-desktop package and went in to the KDE settings to set the compose
key to caps lock, same as I have it set in Unity I noticed when I run the KDE
settings from Unity the keyboard is not one of the input devices but it is
there when doing from a Plasma session. Compose key does work in other KDE apps
such as Konqueror, whether running in Unity or Plasma. Compose key does not
work in Parley regardless of whether run in a Unity or Plasma session.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. in Parley lesson, try to answer question containing accented character, eg:
"básico"

OBSERVED RESULT
the compose key has no effect: i try to type básico but i get b'asico

EXPECTED RESULT
básico!

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 19.10
Package: kubuntu-desktop, Version: 1.387
(available in About System)
Package: kde-plasma-desktop, Version: 5:104ubuntu1
KDE Frameworks 5.67.0
Qt 5.14.1 (built against 5.13.2)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I love Parley it's exactly what I've been looking for!

[neon] [Bug 418598] Broken KDE packagages, kdevelop, kmail and others due to missing libqca-qt5-2 (>= 2.3.0)

Yoann Laissus changed:

The problem is coming from the apt pinning in
/etc/apt/preferences.d/98-xenial-overrides which contains at the end :
Package: libqca-qt5-2
Pin: release o=Ubuntu
Pin-Priority: 1100

It seems to have been replaced by the new 99-xenial-overrides but the old file
hasn't been removed, which is causing upgrade issues.
Removing this old file (98-xenial-overrides) should fix everything.

I cannot reproduce this issue with Dolphin 20.03.70 - file associations are
changed permanently and correctly. You are using a very old version of Dolphin
- please try a newer one and update the bug report with a bit more info if the
bug continues to exist (e.g. what DE do you use? To which application are you
trying to change the association to?).
