I mean, the view setting suddenly changes when you move from "Faces" to "Albums" view? I was thinking another approach is to leave this as a menu option in "Albums" view and simply display images with "No Faces" (no face regions nor people tags assigned) and "Faces" (images with face region and people tags). I see the usefulness in this view, giving the user to quickly glance over images with "No Face" regions found but may still contain a face - simply that the face detection algorithm failed to detect it. Thus, giving the user the opportunity to add it manually or perform a selective "Scan for Faces". My feeling is beyond words.. I uninstalled digikam again 02:00 am and went to sleep. This morning I installed it and ran the DebugView the fifth time. It crashed at first launch. Alright, I thought, according to the comment there should be some trouble scanning media folder, so I moved the media folder out from the database, deleted the 'digikamrc' in 'APPDATA' folder and the existing 'digikam.db'. (In fact, I tried this way before and it didn't work last night.) The second launch seemed to be perfect so I moved the media folder back and started the third launch, during which everything went perfect. So I closed the window and tried to save the new log which include the three launches, when the DebugView showed 'No Responded' ! ! ! Thank you Ismael for the explanation.
I was able to test latest master (06df6b61) and I see that one of the bad
headers is gone (Header1) but we still have Header2 present and the correct
header3 is not yet shown. Small step in the right direction, again, thank you
so much. I assume we have to port/update the modules to use the newer
technology so that we get the correct header shown as I asked above. Anyway I
can help with this? Please let me know what I can do to help, best!
