[okular] [Bug 456381] New: Respect Config Option to Not Notify about Embedded Signatures
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456381 Bug ID: 456381 Summary: Respect Config Option to Not Notify about Embedded Signatures Product: okular Version: 22.04.2 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: thebillywa...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** Okular gives a notification regarding the signatures of digitally signed pdfs irrespective of gui configuration. When "Notify about embedded files, forms, or signatures" is true, notifications regarding all three about will be displayed. Yet if this option is turned off, notifications about signatures still appear while those for embedded files and forms do not. Hence, notifications about signatures are displayed irrespective of the configuration, which other notifications are suppressed as per the configuration. Suggest patching `gui/signatureguiutils.cpp`. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Ensure that "Settings > Configure Okular > General Options > Notify about embedded files, forms, or signatures" is checked. 2. Open a pdf with both forms and a digital signature. 3. Observe notifications about both forms and signature. 4. Change settings such that "Settings > Configure Okular > General Options > Notify about embedded files, forms, or signatures" is no longer checked. 6. Observe notifications about only the signature and not forms. OBSERVED RESULT Notifications about signatures is observed even though "Notify about embedded files, forms, or signatures" is not checked in the options. However, all notifications are observed if the option is checked. EXPECTED RESULT No notifications regarding embedded files, forms or signatures if the option is unchecked. Expect notifications regarding signatures to be suppressed along with others. Oh yeah my bad totally forgot to mention that I'm on Xorg. I just tried Wayland and I guess it appears it does not do it on that... And I actually did test a few different versions of ubuntu and kubuntu live ISO's (20.04, 21.04, 22.04...) and discovered it does indeed do it on all of them, ubuntu (gnome) included. I just tested with OBS and everything works just fine (yay!). However, this bug is kinda weird because I was unable to replicate the same issue on GNOME (with all the latest updates as of yesterday). All these bug reports seem to indicate this issue only happens on KDE, though there's one comment about someone using NixOS + GNOME having the same issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 456100] When taking a second screenshot after saving a first one, Spectacle sometimes falsely claims to have saved the file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456100 --- Comment #4 from Adam Fontenot --- (In reply to Antonio Prcela from comment #3) > That's the point, the message never disappears. With this change, it works > as you have described in "expected". Maybe I misunderstood what the change is doing. It appears to make the message disappear after 10 seconds. That's not what I'm looking for, notwithstanding anything I said about the expected results. Right now, the "file saved" notification stays active indefinitely. That seems fine to me. When you click the "Take a New Screenshot" button, the notification disappears immediately, which also seems right. (If you take a new screenshot, then it won't have been saved, so the message would be misleading if it remained.) The problem is that when you activate Spectacle by clicking an activation key, a new screenshot is taken but the message doesn't go away. Making it so that the message went away after 10 seconds unconditionally would be a bad idea in my estimation. It would make it less clear in some cases that an image had been saved, and if you took a new screenshot quickly enough after saving the previous one, the "saved" message would still be visible for a few seconds until it disappeared. In that case it wouldn't even solve the problem of Spectacle falsely claiming to have saved the file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

So you both have the "Window Decorations" translation missing in the GUI but it is there in the PO file on your systems. Not sure what to do about it to be honest. I am not on Arch and I see the translation. > By the way I checked all Kde apps in relation to translations. They are all > well translated with the exception of "Okular",nearly all terms presented in > English. This file is (almost completely) translated. Please check your local PO file if the strings, you see in English are translated in the PO file. If so, this is not an issue, we as translators can fix. > Don't forget the other terms to be translated mentioned in "Additional > Comments" when I reported the "bug",not only "Window Decoration(s)". I checked several of those strings. All translated here. They are in different PO files though so I wanted to confirm one string as translated instead of asking you to check and upload several files. > I discovered in Dolphin the file "kcm_kwindecoration/metadata.desktop".I > opened it with the editor and in line 25 I found the correct German > translation of "Window Decoration(s)": Name [de]=Fensterdekoration. So why is > not used in Systemsettings > Appearance. Entries in .desktop files are extracted into PO files and translated there. Then the translations are merged back into the .desktop file. That part seems to work, hence you can see the translation in the .desktop file. Why these are not shown for you, is beyond me. Could be an Arch issue. ... Could be a configuration issue limited to your machine. ... Not sure. But as far as I can see, it's not an issue with the German translation. Maybe try asking around in some Arch forum. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456369 Bug ID: 456369 Summary: Plasma Shell 5.25: Black screen when disconnecting external monitor with no hope of recovery Product: plasmashell Version: 5.25.2 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: robertdeja...@tutanota.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 150427 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=150427=edit Some journalctl entries from the previous boot (that got stuck because of this issue) After upgrading to Plasma Desktop 5.25, disconnecting a monitor attached through USB-C (HDMI Alt Mode) results in a black screen. Reconnecting it does not restore video. The only thing that helps is to force a reboot. I cannot try a direct HDMI connection, because my laptop doesn't have one. It happens consistently since upgrading the Plasma Desktop. Version 5.24 worked fine. I have tried a Gnome session to make sure nothing else is causing this issue. In Gnome it works fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start a Plasma Shell session with an external monitor connected using an USB-C dock 2. Disconnect either the monitor, or the whole dock 3. Laptop screen does not turn on 4. Reconnect the external monitor / dock 5. No image on either monitor 6. Try to switch to a virtual terminal (ctrl-alt-f3) 7. [krita] [Bug 456357] Selecting with wand and then doing an invert selection, breaks Trim with Selection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456357 Deif Lou changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gin...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Deif Lou --- I think that after inverting the small portion inside the image is selected, but also the entire area outside the image, since the default pixel is changed to full selected value. The area selected due to the default pixel being fully selected is not marked with the marching ants (since it is nor really part of the selection pixels). To see this one can: 1. select the area around the object of interest with the contiguous selection tool 2. invert the selection 3. change the canvas dimensions to a bigger size 4. fill the selection 5. some area in the borders (the area that is new after resizing the canvas) is also filled but it is not marked with the marching ants. Maybe one solution is to intersect the selection with the image rect before trimming. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Can you please confirm that the non-translated string "Window > Decorations" is singular or plural? Hi, I just checked the English term in Systemsettings. It is in fact in plural: "Window Decorations",not "Decoration".My fault. In German it is singular: "Fensterdekoration".Jan Bidler confirmed that he could reproduce the "bug".He sent you the MO file of "kcm_kwindecoration.mo" as an attachment,so I don't need to do it. By the way I checked all Kde apps in relation to translations. They are all well translated with the exception of "Okular",nearly all terms presented in English. Don't forget the other terms to be translated mentioned in "Additional Comments" when I reported the "bug",not only "Window Decoration(s)". I discovered in Dolphin the file "kcm_kwindecoration/metadata.desktop".I opened it with the editor and in line 25 I found the correct German translation of "Window Decoration(s)": Name [de]=Fensterdekoration. So why is not used in Systemsettings > Appearance.
