[kwin] [Bug 456608] New: Window refresh randomly glitches out
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456608 Bug ID: 456608 Summary: Window refresh randomly glitches out Product: kwin Version: 5.25.2 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: watisthis...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 150549 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=150549=edit video It's possible that this is some amdgpu driver glitch but since it started after the 5.25 updates I think the problem could be in Kwin. (I installed the 5.25.0, .1 and .2 updates all at pretty much same time so can't say which one) Sometimes a window suddenly glitches and its contents refresh gets really slow (like <1 fps) and glitchy. So far this has happened to Firefox, Dolphin, Kwrite and Opera IIRC. Closing and restarting the glitched app fixes the problem. It seems to happen like almost once a day to some app so it's quite annoying. Please see the attached video to see what it looks like. Note how showing the window thumbnail from the panel behaves. The thumbnail itself shows the window contents perfectly fine and smoothly. There is also the large margin around the thumbnail popup which seems to be updating the underlying window differently. There are some kwin_x11 XCB errors in system logs around when the bug occurs; I think they may be related. I haven't seen those in that large numbers before. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456511 could be related but in my case apps never freeze completely. [plasmashell] [Bug 456497] Icons and Widgets Move on Second Monitor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456497 --- Comment #6 from Michael Mikowski --- Hi Bug Triage: I know this is very similar to other bugs, however, we tried to be as precise as possible and eliminate unknowns to help sort our what could be the issue. For example, we were sure to note our DPI settings (default, not set) and global scale (default, 100%). We also used a very common theme (Breeze Dark) to avoid any interference from any custom layouts. We also reproduced this with manually placed widgets to avoid any possibility that this could be layout-induced. We filed specifically against 5.24.5 LTS, and we added annotated screen shots as well. I hope you find this useful. Sincerely, Mike -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 456373] pasted command executes after GUI-app exits
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456373 --- Comment #2 from Holger --- OK, so this bracketed paste shall prevent immediate execution of pasted text. Pasting into an application like an editor, that does not understand this protocol, seems to be fine, as it will most likely not execute commands. So disabling the protection seems reasonable. As we see, some programs like glxgears ignore console input all together and only dump a few messages out. That is also unproblematic - still no one is executing the stuff. Now, here is the catch: After the program exits, the shell e.g. bash should re-enable the bracketed paste protocol. How come, they don't wipe out the buffers and instead run what is left in there? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456596 Bug ID: 456596 Summary: Location bar fills automatically based on recently viewed directories, directories sharing subsequent letters will have the capitalization changed to the suggestion from "recent" Product: dolphin Version: 22.04.3 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: bars: location Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: momo.in...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The bar for typing a URL/PATH auto fills a recent directory permanently instead of it being a suggestion that can be selected with Tab. In my specific case I wanted to use the sftp protocol, so I typed in sftp://, but it came out as Sftp://, because a recent directory I have previously typed in started with a capital S. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have Dolphin remember a recent directory so it shows in the drop down menu of suggestions when using the directory path bar. 2. Continue typing a different directory and notice how the capitalization from the original suggestion remains. OBSERVED RESULT The wrong capitalization of a word will keep being fed into the location bar as long as a directory in "recents" shares the letters. Example: subdirectory named "Androidstudios_install" will be autofilled as "AndroidStudios_install", because a directory in recents is called "AndroidStudioProjects". EXPECTED RESULT The auto fill will temporarily suggest a directory that you can select with tab but will not alter the location bar if you just keep typing in it. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.18.10-zen1-1-zen KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The capitalization might not affect something like the sftp URL from resolving, however it could disrupt a manually typed directory path because they're case sensitive. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I'll add this as an attachment too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[LabPlot2] [Bug 455579] X offset of 2 hours after reopening an saved project file
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=455579 --- Comment #11 from tanjatroesc...@gmail.com --- Hi Stefan, again many THANKS for your help. With your update the loaded project shows now a correct xy graph. But now the offset exists for fresh imported data, or when a time value will be changed. I added some screenshots: "Version Jul 10 2022, 22:26:15" Shows the version I tested "Fresh imported data has offset in xy graph" Shows a generated graph from fresh imported data into the table. The generated graph has an offset of -2 hours. "After saving as project, closing and reopening the offset in xy graph is gone" After saving the table with fresh imported data and the xy graph with -2 hour offset as project, closing LabPlot2, reopening it and loading the saved project, everything is correct. " Changing the value of a time data point by hand generates an offset again" But changing the first time value from "19.06.2022 00:00" to "19.06.2022 00:01" generates for that data point an -2 hour offset again. Many Thanks Tanja -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Books] [Bug 456375] Invalid link to download the book
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456375 --- Comment #9 from David C. Bryant --- I made a couple of commits in gitlab. "kdesrc-build kf5book" now creates a .pdf file, and an html file. The "epub" still dies: gmake[2]: *** [CMakeFiles/epubbook.dir/build.make:85: KDE-Frameworks-Cookbook.epub] Error 6 gmake[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:139: CMakeFiles/epubbook.dir/all] Error 2 gmake[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs [ 86%] Built target htmlbook [ 97%] Built target pdfbook I can't figure that problem out. I checked the command syntax on line 85 of "build.make", and it looks OK to me. Albert, is it OK to load the .pdf file directly into the community wiki? Or is there some sort of auxiliary storage area where it ought to reside? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmymoney] [Bug 456573] Ability to identify payee with no transactions
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456573 --- Comment #6 from Jack --- Apologies - it seems it's been added to the master branch in git, but not to the stable 5.1 branch. Because the new ledger is a complete rewrite, I don't think it will be possible to backport it. I suppose we can convert this bug to a wishlist, which can be closed when the new ledger gets released to production (no, there is no schedule for that yet.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 11/07/2022 at 15:51. Pushed by tfella into branch 'master'. Check availability of documents while counting them Fixes the cases where documents are counted but not available. This can happen if the events come from android's system calendar or if the document was deleted from another event's document list. In both of these cases, the reference should probably be deleted instead, but this is a good safety measure nevertheless.
