Skrooge uses the term "operation" a lot, the handbook says > An operation is either a credit or debit to one of your accounts But in English, an operation is a complex procedure with a lot of moving parts, such as a lung transplant, a military operation, or moving all your accounts to a new bank. The standard word for a credit or debit is "transaction". Every financial institution I use provides a way to "Download recent transactions" and/or "View your transaction history". The handbook also says "During the reconciliation process, you point all operations in Skrooge that appear in the corresponding account position. Such pointed operations display a half-filled square in the Status column of an operations view. A pointed operation is not Checked until you complete reconciliation." But in English, you point at something with your finger, it's not an intransitive property of an item. I think "Marked" is probably a better word: "You mark transactions that appear in the financial institution's account record... When you complete reconciliation the status of marked transactions changes to Checked; checked transactions won't appear in Skrooge's default transaction views." ("Marked" is synonymous with one meaning of "Checked", but since Checked operations/transactions appear with an actual checkmark in views, I think it's OK to keep Checked.) I *think* it makes it harder for new users to use Skrooge. It would be a big change to the UI and the documentation, and unless dozens of variables are renamed, Skrooge's source code wouldn't match the terminology. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443148 --- Comment #10 from fanzhuyi...@gmail.com --- (In reply to fanzhuyifan from comment #9) > Currently the invert colors effect is working on wayland for me again. > I have a prime system with intel iGPU and nvidia dGPU. And when it doesn't work, a `kwin_wayland --replace` often fixes things. The driver is now maintained only for Windows (leaving Freebsd and having only console support on Linux) but it had a dual Linux and Freebsd ports. I m meaning that either you have modeseting or you have to use nomodeset in order to use a window environment with the `ast_drv.so` Xorg (the kernel drm driver is exclusive of the Xorg driver and it doesn t support Xorg). So the Xorg driver binary is a old full userspace driver that nevertheless allow playing drm videos that require support from the graphics card for the drm decoding. Reproducible: Always Actual Results on Wayland: whether modeset is enabled or disabled, screen become black and still stay black even when returning to console (hard reboot required). This is the same thing that happens with Xorg when the driver isn t installed even if you don t use the kernel module compiled from proprietary blobs. Expected Results: Be able to use Xorg until compatibility solution is found in order to be able to use Graphical desktop or have the driver code ported to Wayland. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open an Operations view, make sure the Status column (the checkmark column) is visible and the editing panel at the bottom of the view is in Standard mode. 2. Scroll to an existing standard "operation" (=transaction) in the view whose Status (the checkmark column) is blank. 3. Click to select that operation row, so its details appear in the editing panel 4. Update the details of the new transaction (date, comment, etc.) 5. Click [+ Add] OBSERVED RESULT The new operation's Status appears as ⋯ and the tooltip shows "This operation is pointed but not checked yet." EXPECTED RESULT I don't see why the newly-added transaction gets a different non-blank status. This trips me up because when I finally get around to reconciling transactions from months ago, the Delta is wrong because I have recent transactions that are pointed. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 on Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FYI, "Pointed" is a weird term in English; you point at something with your finger, it's not an intransitive property of an item. I think "Marked" is probably a better word (and "Transaction" is better than "Operation", which sounds like a procedure in a hospital). I'll (someday) file a terminology bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 478256] Panel in dodge window mode appears in front of window after display configuration changes, including rotation, and resolution and scale changes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478256 --- Comment #12 from fanzhuyi...@gmail.com --- This bug seems to be caused by `d->screenGeometry` having an incorrect value at `plasma-workspace/src/libtaskmanager/taskfilterproxymodel.cpp#L358` [1]. To verify this claim, one could add a debug print of `d->screenGeometry`, and note that when the bug triggers, its value is different from any valid screen geometry as reported by `kscreen-doctor -o`. I suspect that this is because when the display configuration changes, the screenGeometry changes value multiple times very quickly (for the snapping and repositioning stuff), causing some sort of race condition and the final change to be missed some how.
