https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433867 Greg changed: What|Removed |Added CC||noh.spam.j...@gmail.com --- Comment #16 from Greg --- I have a similar problem: I have 2 x 4k screens and each has a similar but slightly different panel. I tend to leave my PC running overnight but if I turn off the screens in the evening and then turn them on again in the morning or if I enable the screen-saver, then on resuming, usually the panel from the left screen appears on the right and then panel from the right screen appears on the left. I have opened the display settings and pressed the 'identify' screens button and the screens identified match the display position as shown in the graphic (I assume each monitor is uniquely identified here, so the identity should be expected to report the physical actuality), so it seems the config for the panels either doesn't reference the screen ID or forgets it. I saw View Profiles and thought it was something to do with colors and toolbars, but not something where I could set the default encoding. That will work nicely for me. Perhaps section 4.1.7 of the Okteta Handbook could be expanded to identify the types of things that the Profile can affect? [plasmashell] [Bug 353975] Black screen on second display (no wallpaper, can't get a context menu on right-click)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353975 --- Comment #211 from Greg White --- FWIW, on my machine, I'd say this bug has significantly regressed. I used to only very rarely have black screen issues. Now they are common. It is very disappointing that this bug has been treated as such a low-priority problem - when it is quite remarkably bad. I've been using KDE for almost 20 years but right now this is right on the edge of driving me to Gnome as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 453064] plasmashell segfaults (11) and drkonqi errors when posting the report. This is the content of the drqonqi report
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453064 --- Comment #2 from Greg --- I reinstalled OpenSUse Leap 15.3 (which is a current LTS release, I believe), so should be sufficiently current until 15.4 turns up. If this is an issue, then it’s questionable whether SUse are doing a competent job for their LTS release. For compatibility reasons it is recommended to also support Ctrl + PgDown (Ctrl + PgUp for backward navigation)." It appears Kate 21.04.2 does not support Ctrl + Tab to switch between tabs. [plasma-integration] [Bug 427247] Cursor Style Not Followed in Chromium Snap
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427247 --- Comment #8 from Greg Lepore --- Looks like the existing report https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1585332 covers cursors as well, per this comment: "This is an umbrella bug for many efforts that build towards having much better support for theming. As one example we recently landed support for icon themes. This will also improve the support for mouse cursor icons. I switched the priority to wishlist because it's not a bug, it's a lot of new functionality for us to implement." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 426891] Chrome on native Wayland causes a memory leak and excess CPU use in kwin_wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426891 Greg Varsanyi changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG --- Comment #3 from Greg Varsanyi --- (In reply to Greg Varsanyi from comment #2) > Not freeing memory after dropped decorations is probably still something > that needs to be fixed on the kwin side. > And a safeguard mechanism to handle/throttle request floods like this would > be great too. Looks like I was wrong about that, apparently xdg-decoration spec says: > [...] clients are responsible for preventing configure loops and > must make sure not to send multiple successive set_mode requests > with the same decoration mode. On the Chrome side they have fixed the excessive calls (should be in next release), this ticket can be closed, resolved as "not a bug" on the KDE side. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 426891] Chrome on native Wayland causes a memory leak and excess CPU use in kwin_wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426891 --- Comment #2 from Greg Varsanyi --- (In reply to Vlad Zahorodnii from comment #1) > It seems like google chrome floods kwin with > xdg_toplevel_decoration_v1.set_mode requests, which forces kwin to re-create > decorations every frame. That sounds wrong, I have opened a bug for it: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1131662 Not freeing memory after dropped decorations is probably still something that needs to be fixed on the kwin side. And a safeguard mechanism to handle/throttle request floods like this would be great too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
