[konsole] [Bug 468521] Kate terminal background is black
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468521 --- Comment #2 from Jebin --- Sorry if I wasn't clear. English is not my primary language. I understand that having different colour scheme is a feature. I'll try to explain better. Also, please refer to the screenshot attached above for reference. Both my Kate and Konsole are using light theme by default. So, the konsole inside kate (leftside) should look similar to separate window of konsole (rightside). But, in this case, the konsole inside kate appears more darker. This is the bug I wish to report. Now, for possible reasons, I assumed that there could be some UI element behind konsole which is black in colour. Hence, since I have enabled partial transparency for konsole, the black color is seeping through and giving it a darker look. But, I could be wrong in this assumption. Please let me know if this was clear. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kate] [Bug 468521] New: Kate terminal background is black
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468521 Bug ID: 468521 Summary: Kate terminal background is black Classification: Applications Product: kate Version: 22.12.2 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: jebin12...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 158120 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=158120&action=edit Screenshot comparing konsole in kate vs konsole SUMMARY I'm using a black on white colour scheme with transparency for konsole. However, konsole embedded inside Kate always appears gray. I assume this is because the colour supposed to be behind the kate's konsole is always black and is not influenced by the system colour scheme (which is a light color scheme in my case). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set the system colour scheme to Breeze light. 2. Set the konsole's default colour scheme to be Black on white with some transparency 3. Open kate and its embedded konsole. OBSERVED RESULT Attaching screenshot EXPECTED RESULT The embedded konsole's background should follow the system colour scheme (or may be made transparent). [plasma-nm] [Bug 376017] Bring back Connect/Disconnect in the NM Connection Editor module
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376017 Jebin changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Resolution|INTENTIONAL |--- Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED CC||jebin12...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Jebin --- I'm reopening this bug after a small discussion with the community at reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/sycuom/adding_connect_disconnect_button_in_network/ Here's a reason copied from reddit: "The applet in settings feels incomplete without a connect disconnect option. For example, if I wanted to add a vpn connection, I had to add the vpn connection in the settings, then come to the system tray and then test whether my settings work. Its true that for some users (including the old me :P) , the idea that they would find the vpn connections in the system tray itself may be foreign and hence feel lost after adding a connection. May be adding vpn connection is not something a fresh user would do but still a visible button in the settings will feel a lot more friendlier. Or at least, that's my take on this!" My suggestion is to add a connect/disconnect button similar to the one in system tray next to the connection name. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 430662] Kwin App menu opens in separate window in Wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430662 --- Comment #5 from Jebin --- Just my thought. The current implementation of App menu is not that great in X11 as well. There is a flicker which occurs when we switch from one menu to another. I believe this is because each menu opens as separate borderless window and there is a minute gap during which the original application becomes focused before the transition to next menu. [korganizer] [Bug 429768] New: To Do - Google Tasks always changes back to UTC
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429768 Bug ID: 429768 Summary: To Do - Google Tasks always changes back to UTC Product: korganizer Version: 5.15.3 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: todoview Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: jebin12...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY: When synced with Google account, the To-do get automatically converted to UTC time zone. This results in it being listed in the wrong time or even wrong day. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set the default time zone for your system as something different from UTC. 2. Create a To-do in a linked google account and set some specific time. 3. Sync manually or let it be done automatically. OBSERVED RESULT The timezone for the task gets converted to UTC and the actual time gets changed to something new. This sometimes results in the task being listed on the wrong day. Also, even if I edit and existing task to local time, it changes back on the next sync. EXPECTED RESULT Tasks stay in the same timezone as with what it was created. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora 33 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.9.10-200.fc33.x86_64 OS Type: 64-bit ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - The google account has the same local time zone. (Default settings) - The system has dual boot and has RTC set in local time zone. (RTC in local TZ: yes) - I tried creating an event in KOrganizer. There is no such problem happening for events. (Could have been partially fixed in #377977) (Hence, the above setting for timedatectl could not be the problem) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
