[lattedock] [Bug 422405] Selection Color in global menu in "Smart" mode unreadable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422405 --- Comment #4 from Leon De Andrade --- Ah okay nice, I didn't know that. That in fact solves the issue. I still think it can be considered as a bug (with rather low priority after your clarification) and maybe there is the possibilty to auto disable that feature automatically for widgets that don't support it? Actually it would probably be the best to not make it configurable at all, but just determine it automatically (I suppose you can programmatically check if the widget supports it?) As a second possibilty (or even in addition to the previous) add a note similar to the one "For best results install the kwin color script" to warn about this? These are just suggestion though to improve the UX of latte.I feel like you got offended by my last comment, it's hard to tell from text though, if that's the case that is certainly not my intention. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

OR you can disable AutoColoring for that specific applet that has not adjusted its painting to Latte mechanisms. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422405 --- Comment #2 from Leon De Andrade --- Can support what? I'm not sure if the problem is clear. The global menu works just fine with latte in normal color mode, no problem at all. It just doesn't work in "smart" mode ... I'm not exactly sure what should happen with global menu (ideally) in "smart" mode, but when it's not possible due to technical limitations, I would expect it to work normal at least? Or is there any reasoning why the selection color can't be normal in that mode? I would try it myself with AppMenu to see what you mean, but for some reason it doesn't show up under my widgets after having installed it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
