However, biblatex also has the field "xdata" which is used in a similar way (note that biblatex's xref field must not be resolved, since it does not inherit fields from the target.). Furthermore, biblatex does not do a 1:1-mapping, but maps fields more cleverly (author > bookauthor etc.). The attached patch (against branch/0.6) implements this function. * It dynamically resolves xdata entries (also multiple and nested ones) * It implements proper crossref field mapping (via the kbstyle file; the syntax should be self-explaining, but is also documented in the source). I think this patch is a significant improvement for biblatex users. The patch is the last version I posted over at GNA. Looks like no one with kde uses laptops that dock to external monitors to realize that this is an issue ;-) On the bright side, I believe that /there should be a solution/ to this problem since plasma 4 was dealing with it just fine. For the time being, as a dirty hack I suggest just adding a script to systemd to assure that it kills the kscreen_backend_laucher on suspend/resume. I'm an old time user, and I haven't used Windows in years. I don't like that meta now kicks off Kickoff I bind meta+[key] to a number of tasks and applications, and if I change my mind about that (I start pressing meta, but then decide "nah") the launcher appears. And it doesn't hide when meta is pressed again (bug 367685) If KDE is adamant on having the meta key kickoff behavior as default, add an option to disable that. I think your suggestion in comment 11 about trying to autodetect this kind of core sounds extremely fragile. The architecture says "don't do this", and implementations can take advantage, including perhaps being able to make forward progress in some cases even if not in others, so you might find your autodetect test code passed but later generated code didn't. Available platform plugins are: minimal, offscreen, xcb. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Aborted (core dumped) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start a Plasma/Wayland session 2. Download Krita appimage 3. Try to run the appimage Actual Results: Abort Expected Results: Starts It looks to me like the appimage has Qt bundled but does not include QtWayland. That's fine, at the moment Krita wouldn't run on Wayland anyway due to missing tablet support in Qt. Given that I suggest to add the following to Krita prior to instancing the QApplication: #if HAVE_X11 qputenv("QT_QPA_PLATFORM", "xcb"); #endif This will ensure that the appimage doesn't crash on Wayland. Please note that the next Fedora Workstation release will default to Wayland. It has Qt 5.5.1 installed system-wide. Btw I use Qt 5.6.2 from Qt online installer for my apps. Problem: all apps built with 5.6 use fusion style and qt file dialogs. So I can't get native KDE look'n'feel. But on GTK based DE's all works fine. I use startup script from Qt docs: https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/linux-deployment.html. As a workaround I use this in main.cpp: QStringList list = QCoreApplication::libraryPaths(); list.append("/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins"); list.append("/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/"); QCoreApplication::setLibraryPaths(list); This hack works well on my machine, but on Kubuntu 16.10 with system-wide Qt 5.6.1 my program crashes (backtrace in attachment). Question: is there a convenient way to load system-wide style plugins? Can it be as simple as load native GTK style? P.S. Once the headset is trusted, paired and connected, when I turn off the headset and then turn it on, the connection takes place but the volume is lower. For any new file the current screen resolution is written into the xmi file. If a file contains resolution the file coordinates are recalculated into current screen resolution on load and recalculated to file resolution on save. Files without coordinates resolution are not recalculated on load or save, because it is currently not known how to estimate the resolution the file is created with. Adjusting those files requires currently adding the "resolution" attribute to the tag manually. To solve that issue an option would be to add a user request to get the correct resolution or to print out a user warning on the status line after loading and to add an option to be able to change the resolution in document settings or if possible to estimate it from any diagram coordinates. The only solution to get the mailbox synced again is to call 'akonadictl restart'. Frequently, I receive html messages that don't set the background colour appropriately and assume a light colour background (e.g. white, very light grey). Switching to text mode sometimes helps but frequently doesn't. A short cut key to switch between dark and light backgrounds would be a great usability improvement. It shows a "Starting Akonadi server" message for some seconds, then a dialog appears to "Provide personal data" (full name, email and password), and practically at the same time I get an error box from kmail that says: "The Email program encountered a fatal error and will terminate now. The error was: Could not create collection inbox, resourceId: 3" I ran kmail with full logs as dvratil suggested and got the attached output. This means that Krita opens a window and afterwards changes it to maximized. I confirmed this by adding debug statements into KWin.
