OBSERVED RESULT Currently, software that has been compiled at http://binary-factory.kde.org is identified within the Control Panel of Windows after installation as "master-" plus an apparent-random string of characters. This is strange, because this system of versioning rather than usage of the name of the branch that it was compiled from does mean that usage of alternative identificative methodology is being required by managers of packages, such as "winget", which is available at "http://github.com/microsoft/winget;. EXPECTED RESULT The software should be identified within Control Panel by the name of the branch that it was compiled from, because this would allow consistent identification to occur across all methods of distribution, and across versions: release as Nightly and Release would be identified consistently outside of "http://binary-factory.kde.org;. This problem did not affect my subsequent and recent installation of Debian 12, although my lack of utilisation of that installation may have been why it did not affect it. Additionally, this problem has not affected my current installation of Rawhide of Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop by version of the installer of Fedora Server that had been submitted from Rawhide. I have not manually installed new drivers since my current installation of Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop, and I have extensively utilised this computer. Consequently, is anybody that is utilising the most new version of their distribution able to verify that this is occurring for them? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449614 Bug ID: 449614 Summary: Application of colour-schemes whose file-identifiers are not adherent to expectation subsequently causes reduction of operation. Product: drkonqi Version: 5.23.90 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: beedellrokejulianlockh...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 146268 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=146268=edit Backtraces. They are identical to what is present within this notification of erroneous operation. SUMMARY Application of colour-schemes whose file-identifiers are not adherent to expectation subsequently causes incorrect operation of 'plasma-systemsettings' and 'xdg-desktop-portal-kde'. 'plasma-drkonqi' appears after application. If application occurs after 'plasma-drkonqi' appears, drkonqi incorrectly operates. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Copy into one colour-scheme into "$HOME/.local/share/color-schemes/" whose file-identifier is similar to '( JI-BLAK ) .COLORS' or '( JI-BLAK ) .txt.colors', rather than '( JI-BLAK ) .colors'. The first two identifiers are able to cause incorrect operation, whereas the last identifier is not able to cause incorrect operation. 2. Applicate the colour-scheme whose file-identifier is able to cause incorrect operation. 3. Revert application of the colour-scheme to one whose file-identifier is not able to cause incorrect operation. 4. Applicate the colour-scheme whose file-identifier is able to cause incorrect operation. OBSERVED RESULT The consequential appearance of all graphical software is adherent to 'Breeze Light'. Most graphical software crashes. EXPECTED RESULT Application of the colour-scheme. Additionally, continuation of operation of software that crashes, because automatic submission of notification of erroneous operation via 'plasma-drkonqi' is not possible after occurrence of erroneous operation. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449613 Bug ID: 449613 Summary: Application of colour-schemes whose file-identifiers are not adherent to expectation subsequently causes incorrect operation. Product: systemsettings Version: 5.23.90 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: kcm_colors Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: beedellrokejulianlockh...@gmail.com CC: jpwhit...@kde.org, mwoehlke.fl...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 146267 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=146267=edit Backtraces. 2. Applicate the colour-scheme. OBSERVED RESULT The consequential appearance of all graphical software is adherent to 'Breeze Light'. Most graphical software crashes. EXPECTED RESULT Application of the colour-scheme and continuation of operation of software that crashes. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Yes. The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: Skanlite (skanlite), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #4 0x7f3e4b203ee5 in esci_request_status () from /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-epson2.so.1 #5 0x7f3e4b204c5a in close_scanner () from /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-epson2.so.1 #6 0x7f3e568114c8 in sane_dll_close () from /lib64/libsane.so.1 #7 0x7f3e586b3a12 in KSaneIface::KSaneCore::closeDevice() () from /lib64/libKF5Sane.so.5 #8 0x7f3e586a9aca in KSaneIface::KSaneWidget::closeDevice() () from /lib64/libKF5Sane.so.5 #9 0x5653f0dc5d4a in Skanlite::reselectScannerDevice() () #10 0x7f3e56f28216 in void doActivate(QObject*, int, void**) () from /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #11 0x7f3e57aa3ca6 in QAbstractButton::clicked(bool) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #12 0x7f3e57aa3f1e in QAbstractButtonPrivate::emitClicked() () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #13 0x7f3e57aa5b5c in QAbstractButtonPrivate::click() () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #14 0x7f3e57aa5d7b in QAbstractButton::mouseReleaseEvent(QMouseEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #15 0x7f3e579f2768 in QWidget::event(QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #16 0x7f3e579afc42 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #17 0x7f3e579b82c2 in QApplication::notify(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #18 0x7f3e56ef4c38 in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal2(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #19 0x7f3e579b63c2 in QApplicationPrivate::sendMouseEvent(QWidget*, QMouseEvent*, QWidget*, QWidget*, QWidget**, QPointer&, bool, bool) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #20 0x7f3e57a0babc in QWidgetWindow::handleMouseEvent(QMouseEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #21 0x7f3e57a0ee80 in QWidgetWindow::event(QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #22 0x7f3e579afc42 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #23 0x7f3e56ef4c38 in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal2(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #24 0x7f3e57330d95 in QGuiApplicationPrivate::processMouseEvent(QWindowSystemInterfacePrivate::MouseEvent*) () from /lib64/libQt5Gui.so.5 #25 0x7f3e5730ff7c in QWindowSystemInterface::sendWindowSystemEvents(QFlags) () from /lib64/libQt5Gui.so.5 #26 0x7f3e526a7b7e in xcbSourceDispatch(_GSource*, int (*)(void*), void*) () from /lib64/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #27 0x7f3e55640f9f in g_main_context_dispatch () from /lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #28 0x7f3e556962a8 in g_main_context_iterate.constprop () from /lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #29 0x7f3e5563e930 in g_main_context_iteration () from /lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #30 0x7f3e56f458da in QEventDispatcherGlib::processEvents(QFlags) () from /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #31 0x7f3e56ef369a in QEventLoop::exec(QFlags) () from /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #32 0x7f3e56efb742 in QCoreApplication::exec() () from /lib64/libQt5Core.so.5 #33 0x5653f0dc04be in main () [Inferior 1 (process 32668) detached] Reported using DrKonqi -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
