Even if you set the colors to either white or grayish you will end up with same
bad UI behavior.

@avlas Where do I put ColorbarBackground code? Under some heading like [Reader]
or just at the bottom.

Alternate UI for the distracting and intrusive html bar

Is it necessary to keep it absolutely ugly and intrusive? Could we not come up
with a UI that is less distracting to the users. Take for example, it can be
shown at the top like the external resources message is shown which is less
intrusive. Please see the screenshot attached.

SUMMARY

KMail never loads external references from the internet even though it has been
explicitly allowed in the Settings.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable Settings>Configure KMail>Security>Reading>Allow messages to load
external references from Internet
2. Open a mail with external references
3. 

EXPECTED RESULT

It should load external references like images from internet.


ACTUAL RESULT

A message is constantly displayed which is as follows

This forced feature brings no benefit to me. I have already decided to use HTML
and to load external resources by default. KMail should honor my decision.

It's distracting and ugly. Please bring back the ability to disable this
feature.

I am also experiencing this issue. The columns are restored to contain name,
unread, total, and size after you restart the Kmail. Irrespective of what you
set it to the default column list are restored.

Ctrl + and Ctrl - are universally popular shortcuts to for zoom-in and
zoom-out. Ctrl - works in KMail but Ctrl + doesn't. Rather it require
Ctrl+Shift++ to zoom-in. Is there a specific reason for using Ctrl+Shift++
instead of Ctrl + to zoom in?

Ctrl + should be used for zoom-in in messages

Hi Martin,

I will have to wait 2 more months to get the upstream supported KDEPIM+Akonadi
(15.12+) version. I will report back if I have any issues with them.

I am curious if you could shed some light on it. Zoho tells me KMail is making
more than 20 simultaneous connections to their server. I am watching the imap
traffic using the command you provided `watch -n1 "netstat -tanp | grep imap`.
I only see the following 4 lines. That's the maximum I have seen

Looking up these IP addresses I see two of these are from a working email
server. No problem there. The rest two are connecting to Zoho servers. I don't
see 20 entries. Will I see 20 entries if KMail were making 20 simultaneous
connections?

KMail adds a blue box/button around links. These links are often white or blue.
As a result the links are hardly visible. Also no modification should be done
to the content of the mail.

I am using Breeze color theme. I am not using custom colors in Kontact/Kmail.
The attached images are from Kmail and Zoho webclient.

akonadi output

This continues to be a major problem as big as that I will have to stop using
KDE PIM. I have switched email services just so that KMail works with it. I
have tried GMail and Zoho for email. I also use other clients, K-9 and Zoho
app, which don't have this problem. KMail is the only one that goes out of
sync.

I have long Folder List. If I want to drag and drop an email to a folder I have
to make sure that the folder is in view. I can't simply drag and email and go
to folder list which would scroll to take me to right folder.

Whenever I open Kmail the connections remain offline. I have to do Ctrl+L every
time I open KMail.

I have set my account to go offline on shutdown and also do mail checkup on
start. The mail checkup on start doesn't happen and accounts remain offline.

All of them are too big. The configure dialog in kmail opens big and stays big
irrespective of where you are in the dialog.

I don't even have Gravatar configure button. Enable/Disabling it doesn't seem
to do anything. Maybe I am hitting a different bug.

Alexander does you problem go away if you disable Gravatar settings. I have the
same problem for reasons unclear to me. Toggling Gravatar settings doesn't do
anything.

This is a new problem on a clean install of Fedora 22. I didn't have this
problem on most previous releases of Plasma.

There were multiple instances of Local Folders, Personal Calendar, and Personal
Contacts. After removing redundant instances everything seems to work fine.

Kmail is constantly syncing folders which causes individual messages to load
after a delay of a minute or two making whole Kmail experience a pain to use. I
have left my system On for considerable period of time to make sure that it
caches and syncs everything but no help so far.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add gmail address.
2. Click on a message in the list.
3.
Actual Results:  
Retrieving folder contents please wait.

Expected Results:  
Show the message itself without wait.
