[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1769075] Re: [regression][bionic] Bluetooth keyboard battery reports 0% (in kernel 4.15 and later)
I have the same problem with a Logitech M337 mouse and the 4.15.0-22-lowlatency kernel on my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop. I also with a different Logitech M337 on the 4.4.15.0-22-generic kernel on an Asus Transformer T300 Chi. Its bluetooth docking station reports zero battery, too. All three bluetooth devices reported credible power levels under their 17.10 systems they were running before upgrading to bionic. Is it a coincidence the two machines have Intel wifi/bluetooth adapters which use iwlwifi-7265D-29.ucode? I can run apport from these two machines if that would be helpful. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769075 Title: [regression][bionic] Bluetooth keyboard battery reports 0% (in kernel 4.15 and later) Status in bluez package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I've recently upgraded to 18.04 from 17.10 and after the upgrade "upower -d" reports always 0% as battery percentage of the bluetooth Logitech K810 keyboard. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1770108] Re: No wifi in 4.13.0-41-generic
I am facing this same problem with 4.13.0-41-generic as well as 4.13.0-43-generic. When I boot in either of those kernels, I first get a black screen with a dialog box saying: "The system is running in low- graphics mode - your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself." When I click OK, it gives another dialog box where I choose "Try running with default graphical mode". Then Ubuntu Desktop boots properly, but the network (wireless) symbol is there but empty. No network connection. I tried disabling Networking or Wi-fi, and enabling them again, but nothing changes. I have attached the output of the apport-collect 1770108 run on a terminal. I ran the command on the 4.13.0-43-generic kernel first, and then rebooted into 4.13.0-39-generic kernel and ran it again. In the 4.13.0-43-generic kernel, it does not do much but print errors to std_error since it cannot connect to the Internet. It works in the 4.13.0-39-generic kernel and opens the launchpad webpage. ** Attachment added: "output of apport-collect 1770108 command" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1770108/+attachment/5147998/+files/apport-collect1770108.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770108 Title: No wifi in 4.13.0-41-generic Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Wifi adapter not showing since upgrading to 4.13.0-41-generic, still works fine if i roll back to 4.13.0-39-generic. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1774583] Re: Resuming does not work with kernel 3.13.0-149-generic
Same issue on a Clevo laptop. Downgrading kernel doesn't help. Right before I noticed updates to plymouth and initramfs, among others. Might this be related ? It also freezes on resume when suspending from login screen (=disconnect before suspension). There are many messages appearing when resuming after suspension from a console (CTRL-ALT-F1) but I don't know how to copy them. Are they stored ? Where ? It is very inconvenient to have to reboot a laptop after each suspension... I wish it could be possible to cancel last updates... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1774583 Title: Resuming does not work with kernel 3.13.0-149-generic Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: On my laptop MSI GE40 (MS-1492) with Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS and kernel 3.13.0-149-generic resuming after a suspend no longer works. I haven't been able to find any useful log information about what the problem might be: syslog has log entries for suspending and then goes straight into the log of the next successful boot, with nothing that I can see relevant to the failed resume. I'm willing to dig given specific pointers, though. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1774583] Re: Resuming does not work with kernel 3.13.0-149-generic
I've got the same issue with a Shuttle based desktop. It used to suspend and resume quite happily, but after a recent update to 3.13.0-149 it hangs on resume. Hibernate still works. Unlike others, downgrading the kernel doesn't fix the problem (I tried -147 and -145), so maybe there's an interaction going on with something else which got upgraded? I don't actually know which version of the kernel it was running before the issue was introduced. It's not my machine and I don't keep that close an eye on it. While digging, I switched to a VT (Ctrl-Alt-F1) to see if it still did it while a console was active. Yes, it did, but in this case the screen dropped to a GPF. I took a photo of the screen which is attached. I'm not in a position to try significant kernel upgrades. The machine owner needs it stable and uses Virtual Box, so I don't want to mess it about too much. ** Attachment added: "Photo taken after resume. Ignore the synergys thing, synergy isn't installed on the box and I forgot that command was in rc.local." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1774583/+attachment/5147796/+files/1774583_scr.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1774583 Title: Resuming does not work with kernel 3.13.0-149-generic Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: On my laptop MSI GE40 (MS-1492) with Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS and kernel 3.13.0-149-generic resuming after a suspend no longer works.
