[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2057792] Re: Some Games are crashing linked to a vm_max_map_count too low
Hello Sebastien, I agree with you. The value 2147483642 is the value purposed by TKG kernel, but as mentioned in my report, if the value is > 200k well issues in game is over. I think, the fedora value is a good approach because we already have return of their experience, and there is no trouble linked about this value reported in the fedora side. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2057792 Title: Some Games are crashing linked to a vm_max_map_count too low Status in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in gamemode package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in procps package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hello there, I submit this request to improve the gaming experience in ubuntu for all users. No, this is the sound from the headphone jack, not the monitor. I agree it's not immediately apparent how those commits could affect the sound. When I go into the sound settings it shows my headphones as plugged in. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1787857] Re: USB mouse cursor lags after random time of correct behaviour
I have the same issue. At the login screen, I select my user, enter the password, the mouse works fine at this point. Click on login, wait, screen comes up then at random, the mouse either works fine (about 1 time in 5) or it goes really really slow (4 times out of 5). Only way I'm working around it is to reboot (usually 5 times ish) till it decides to work. As a test manager by trade I would say this is a P3 at least not a P4, as it's definitely a functional issue not cosmetic, albeit with an untidy workaround (many reboots). I'm running 4.15.0-52-lowlatency #56-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 4 23:39:39 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I'll post contents of lshw and lspci, let me know if you need more. ** Attachment added: "lshw_and_lspci.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntustudio/+bug/1787857/+attachment/5272856/+files/lshw_and_lspci.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787857 Title: USB mouse cursor lags after random time of correct behaviour Status in Ubuntu Studio: Incomplete Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in rtirq package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I installed Ubuntu Studio 18.04.1 LTS. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 329437] Re: snd_usb_us122l is not working even if supported from kernel.
Hello there, Trying to set up my good old Tascam US-122L again on a fresh Ubuntu Studio. I got it running with older Ubuntus, but it seems that the bug is back again with Linux 3.x Actually this is 3.13.0-34-lowlatency, I've apt-installed alsa-firware- loader, snd-usb-122l is available, but nothing showing in /proc/asound/cards or /proc/asound/modules. I've created ~/.asoundrc with : pcm.!usb_stream { @args [ CARD ] @args.CARD { type string default 1 } type usb_stream card $CARD } ctl.!usb_stream { @args [ CARD ] @args.CARD { type string default 1 } type hw card $CARD } cat /proc/asound/modules: 0 snd_hda_intel cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [Intel] : HDA-INTEL - HDA Intel HDA Intel at 0xf070 irq 44 When I plug it in I can see all the leds flashing for 0.1 sec and then nothing. What shall I do? [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1067801] Re: Touchpad is misdetected as a PS/2 Mouse on a Fujitsu A512
Hi again, There is finally a working patch for this hardware available at http://marc.info/?l=linux-inputm=138235576025208w=1 I tested it on my A512 and everything works fine. It looks like the patch was also tested on other hardware by Fedora testers and works fine (see http://marc.info/?l=linux-inputm=138253695519603w=1 ). It would be very nice to have this fix backported to ubuntu precise. Thanks ! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1067801 Title: Touchpad is misdetected as a PS/2 Mouse on a Fujitsu A512 Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: xinput : ⎡ Virtual core pointerid=2[master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4[slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ PS/2 Generic Mouse id=13 [slave pointer (2)] ⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3[master keyboard (2)] ↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5[slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Buttonid=6[slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Fujitsu FUJ02E3 id=7[slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Video Bus id=8[slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Fujitsu FUJ02B1 id=9[slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Buttonid=10 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ FJ Camera id=11 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboardid=12 [slave keyboard (3)] xinput -props Device 'PS/2 Generic Mouse': Device Enabled (132):1 Coordinate Transformation Matrix (134): 1.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 1.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 1.00 Device Accel Profile (256): 0 Device Accel Constant Deceleration (257):1.00 Device Accel Adaptive Deceleration (258):1.00 Device Accel Velocity Scaling (259): 10.00 Device Product ID (252): 2, 1 Device Node (253): /dev/input/event8 Evdev Axis Inversion (260): 0, 0 Evdev Axes Swap (262): 0 Axis Labels (263): Rel X (142), Rel Y (143) Button Labels (264): Button Left (135), Button Middle (136), Button Right (137), Button Wheel Up (138), Button Wheel Down (139) Evdev Middle Button Emulation (265): 0 Evdev Middle Button Timeout (266): 50 Evdev Third Button Emulation (267): 0 Evdev Third Button Emulation Timeout (268): 1000 Evdev Third Button Emulation Button (269): 3 Evdev Third Button Emulation Threshold (270):20 Evdev Wheel Emulation (271): 0 Evdev Wheel Emulation Axes (272):0, 0, 4, 5 Evdev Wheel Emulation Inertia (273): 10 Evdev Wheel Emulation Timeout (274): 200 Evdev Wheel Emulation Button (275): 4 Evdev Drag Lock Buttons (276): 0 /proc/bus/input/devices I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0001 Version= N: Name=PS/2 Generic Mouse P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input8 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=mouse0 event8 B: PROP=0 B: EV=7 B: KEY=7 0 0 0 0 B: REL=3 WORKAROUND: Use driver from http://www.dahetral.com/public-download .
