[kicad-users] Re: Component with differnet parts ???
OK, i think i understand now. Thanks. But what about ground and power inputs ? Must i make them appeared or not ? (invisible option ?) for example, for a audio filter or an ampli op., there is +Vcc - Vcc. thses pins must be drawn for each parts or only the first one ? thanks --- In kicad-users@yahoogroups.com, rohchar [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, using a quad nand 74hc00 per ex., you have one component with 4 gates. Adding an 74hc00, you always get the first gate (pins 1, 2 3). So, you need to select which unit you want to use (Edite Composant = Unite = Unit 1, 2, 3 or 4). When you create a new component, you have to specify the number of parts or units. Default is 1. You can also use this feature to split a big component. You can see here a xc2v3000 fpga (one part) and a xc2v3000 with 9 parts : kicad.rohrbacher.net/temp regards, Charles. --- In kicad-users@yahoogroups.com, sroux93 sroux93@ wrote: Someone can explain to me what are component with different parts (eeschema program -- when you create a new component from a existing one, in the properties, you can select number of parts... but but means this function ???) [kicad-users] Re: How to place components on the PCB ?
yepe ! i will try tonight. Thanks . As users, what do you think of this soft ? In french, i had to make several test to be able to start to use it. Little difficult at the begining, no ? is it possible to use a external router ? i tried freepcb software, i remember it was able to use an external router. any idea what is the best way to use the auto mode ? --- In kicad-users@yahoogroups.com, Jonas Diemer [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Enable Mode Module (Toolbar, third button from the right). [kicad-users] Pads with multiple holes ??
Hello Everyone, My first project using KiCAD has been started. This mailing list has already been useful. The task at hand is making a nonstandard footprint pads with multiple holes. This is to allow for part substitution. My searching has not turned up anything yet. Suggestions would be appreciated. When using other software packages, multiple pads were used. Each pad had a unique pin number and the schematic was used to connect them. Have a good day, Robert Harkins
