[Koha] Koha v 22.11.5 top quick search menu options not working.

Hi Koha Community Members,
If I click on the quick menu options in Koha 22.11.5, the options do not
change, for example, check-in, renew, search patrons, search the catalogue,
etc., if I click the Check-in option, but the search box does not change
the above options. I have enclosed the screenshot link kind your reference.
I waiting for your's valuable reply.

The debug wiki suggests that Debian expects to find the files in
/usr/share/perl5, so I did

$ sudo ln -s /usr/local/share/perl5/5.32/JSON /usr/share/perl5/JSON
$ sudo ln -s /usr/local/share/perl5/5.32/Mojolicious
/usr/share/perl5/Mojolicious

Now I get the expected results from step 1.1 that you recommended:

$ curl -s http://192.168.1.254:8080/api/v1/ |  jq .info.title,.swagger
"Koha REST API"
"2.0"

But no change in staging outcome; staging does not complete, and app.pl
still runs continuously until aborted.

The only step from the debug page I have not completed yet is verifying
koha-common (I can't run any of the dkpg commands on alma). So I need to
dig into the package contents to find out what it includes. I imagine 
that

will take some time.

In the meantime, one thing I will mention in case it matters: I don't 
get

any messages in any of the following /var/log/koha files:

  api-error.log
  intranet-error.log
  opac-error.log
  plack-api-error.log
  plack-intranet-error.log
  plack-opac-error.log

  z3950-error.log

They are all empty. But I do get messages in

In your screenshot I see you inserted "z3950.somedoamain.org" as the 
hostname - this was just an example. Of course you need to insert a 
valid hostname (like "zcat.oclc.org").


Also it probably isn't correct to use database "OCLCAuthoritiesLC" when 
using record type "Bibliographic". For this record type you will 
probably need database "OLUCWorldCat".

Hi Librarian,

You'll need the following information at least from OCLC:

- Hostname (e.g. z3950.somedomain.org)
- Port (a number, e.g. 210)
- Database (the name of the database you'd like to search)

This information must be provided by OCLC, perhaps on a web site, or on request.

There are some more settings in the z39.50 configuration that are good to know 
as well but that aren't mandatory.

You find the setup at Administration -> Z39.50/SRU servers (under Additional 
parameters) - in Koha 22.05 at least.

Hope this gives you an idea how to proceed.

[Koha] Question on keyword index for 084

Hi,

according to https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/How_to_add_new_zebra_index
I created a new index for the local classification of my library which is in
084. I tried to set this index up for word search and for phrase search.

Now I find that only the phrase search works fine, but the word search
doesn't. It simply doesn't find the words from the 084 entries. My
assumption is that this might be due to the fact that 084$a is linked to an
authorized value, and only the value itself is searched, but not the
authorized value's description.

How can I make the description of the authorized value searchable as a word
search?

I have a koc file. When downloading, I get the following message:
"Your file was uploaded. Once all files are uploaded, please process them in 
pending offline circulation actions.
Upload another KOC file
View pending offline circulation actions"

Do I understand correctly that the file is uploaded?
If I follow the link /cgi-bin/koha/offline_circ/list.pl then "Gateway Timeout"
If I follow the link /cgi-bin/koha/circ/offline.pl then "Offline circulation 
disabled
Your browser is not compatible with the built-in offline circulation tool."

I use Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

[Koha] Microsoft Outlook email configuration with Koha

Hi Koha Community Members,

We have installed (package) Koha 22.05 on Ubuntu 22.04. We configured email
agent exim4 with Outlook to send notices from Koha. Koha reporting
circulation transactions details email status sent. But the patron has not
received any email from Koha.

We also tried Koha's inbuilt SMTP Servers methods in the administration
module. None of the above options worked for us.

 Kindly help us to integrate Microsoft Outlook email with Koha. We
appreciate your support in advance.
