We do a bit more there and not all is caught by FK constraints in the database (actually there are some bugs for stuff that we should catch, but don't). That's sort of the point of my comment cait.. I'd like to see the Objects moving towards being a single piont fo truth.. so i'd rather see the logic around deleting, creating, updateing and even reading a borrower moved from C4::Members into Koha::Borrowers... whether this starts as the Koha::Borrower object referencing the C4::Members routine, or writing it properly I don't really mind.. but in new code I'd certainly like to strive for 'doing it right' the first time and using only the Koha::* stuff in the Koha::Services unless absolutely nesessary. For instance it's not possible to receive serials if the edit_subscription is not set. Also the toolbar is empty. Test plan: 1/ Set the serials = receive_serials permissions to a patron (and only this one for the serials module). 2/ Verify you cannot create a new subscription, you can search subscriptions but cannot edit them. 3/ On the serial result list, receive a serial (action Serial receive). You can now change the status and receive it. 4/ On the serial collection, you can edit 1+ serials to reveice it. 5/ Set the serials = edit_subscription permission and confirm there is no regression. An order was placed, item created and attached to biblionumber 232243. A hold was placed on that on order item and a line in the reserves table created. The order was moved to another basket and the biblionumber on that basket was 246109. The item moved (i.e. biblionumber in items table changed), however, the reserves table retained the old biblionumber (232243) and not the new one. -joy nelson (In reply to Christopher Brannon from comment #0) I haven't tested this yet by moving an item from one bib to another, but we did see an instance where an item level hold was placed on an item that was ordered in acquisitions in one basket, and then the item was transferred to another basket. We think this somehow attached the item to another bib in the process, and then the hold was showing up on the item itself, but not that bibs holds, and showing in the holds on a different bib (the one the item was originally attached to. Need some help testing this. If this is the case when moving an item with item level holds from one basket to another in acq, or in cataloging alone, there needs to be either a mechanism to stop the transfer of the item from bib to bib, or it needs to update the holds properly. When creating a new subscription, the notes fields from the subscription get copied to the fields of the subscription history, leading to doubled up display of notes in the OPAC. We think this somehow attached the item to another bib in the process, and then the hold was showing up on the item itself, but not that bibs holds, and showing in the holds on a different bib (the one the item was originally attached to. Need some help testing this. If this is the case when moving an item with item level holds from one basket to another in acq, or in cataloging alone, there needs to be either a mechanism to stop the transfer of the item from bib to bib, or it needs to update the holds properly.
