Bug 16132: Removing branch select button

To test:
1) Go to Admin -> Library Transfer Limits
2) Notice that you do not have to click the Choose button when selecting a new
library
3) Refresh page
4) Notice that Choose button is gone and page still works

Bug 16131: Messages for branch transfers show with bullet points

This patches removes the list code from the messages

To test:
1) Attempt to transfer an item to its home library. Confirm no bullet point in
message
2) Check out an item to a user. Attempt to transfer the same item. Confirm no
bullet point in message
3) Set syspref BranchTransferLimitsType to Enforce for item types. Go to Admin
-> Library transfer limits and select a library (Library B) other than your
home library (Library A). Uncheck all options. Go back to branch transfers and
attempt to transfer an item from Library A to Library B. Confirm no bullet
point in message.

   items.itemnotes_nonpublic database column
2) Edit an item, add a test nonpublic note

Bug 16120: Making 'Edit' on patron search a button

EDIT: Adding nowrap styles to the Action column. I chose to do it with a span
because that's the way it's already done in this file for another column.

To test:
1) Go to Patrons and do a search that will bring up more than one result
2) Confirm 'Edit' now shows as a font awesome button and works as expected
3) Confirm the button does not wrap when you make your browser narrower

Bug 16129: Remove URL::Encode dependency

This patch makes the PayPal integration feature independent from the
URL::Encode library, which is absent in some supported distributions.

It uses the URI package which is already a Koha dependency.

To test:
- Apply the patch
- Notice there are no deps for URL::Encode
- Follow the steps from the original patch
=> SUCCESS: It works as expected
- Sign-off :-D

Note: I deleted the line in which $amount_to_pay was url-encoded, because
that's
one of the things query_form does (and the variable is only used as a parameter
to it).

[PASSED QA] Bug 15773: Fix and standardise checkboxes code in framework

When creating a new subfield for an authority framework, the checkboxes
don't behave as they should.
If you click on the 'repeatable', 'mandatory' or 'is url' checkbox's
label, the checkbox from the second tab will be checked/unchecked.
This is caused by a non-unique id of the input element.

I have found this bug when working on the removal of CGI::checkbox in
both admin/auth_subfields_structure.pl and
admin/marc_subfields_structure.pl scripts.

This patch remove the use of CGI::checkbox as well as the generation of
html code from these 2 pl scripts (which should be avoided).
The code these scripts are now pretty similar.

Test plan:
Add/modify/remove subfield for a MARC framework and an Authority
framework.
Use as many field as possible and confirm that the values are correctly
inserted/displayed.

[PASSED QA] Bug 16114: Koha::ItemType->translated_description should return a
string

This patch fixes a regression introduce by bug 14828.
If an itemtype is translated, its description won't be displayed
correctly on the item search form.

Koha::ItemType->translated_description is only used once.

Test plan:
- define a translation for an item type (Administration ->
  Item types -> Edit -> Translate into other languages)
- go on the item search form, the item type should be displayed
  correctly.

QA note: This module is not covered by tests, it seems that I forgot to
write them...

How about having the options visible once one of the options was activated? 
Or maybe just have the active one visible.

I agree that 'decluttering' the display should be moved to a different report.
But I think it's increasingly necessary, because this is a really important
area.

Also, to be more clear - if you have been using the feature already, this patch
will make the new option show up and you have no good way of hiding it. I think
the least we need to do is make it easy to hide.

I updated to latest master and tested the behaviour.

Setting decreaseLoanHighHoldsValue to 0 does not trigger the message anymore
and I can also see in Circulation.pm in the checkHighHolds subroutine that the
code has changed and that this issue probably was fixed by that.

So I am closing the ticket as resolved - worksforme.

Prechecking it would render the circulation conditions useless. 

An example: Students have to renew manually, while checkouts from teachers will
be renewed automatically - but only for some item types. So usually, they can
check out for a long time without having to keep an eye on their account, until
someone places a hold. Then a reminder notice will be sent etc. as the renewal
is blocked.

The checkbox is to give you the option for automatic renewals on items where
it's not defined in the circulation conditions.

When this feature was developed, that was a wish a library had - it's in the
mailnig list archives somewhere.

But what if you want to make an exception from the norm, which might be to
automatically renew.  If it is going to be forced without option, then I agree,
take the checkbox option away completely.  But if not, then have it there,
checked, with the ability to turn it off.

Why would anyone not want the automatic renewal on an item?  Perhaps it is a
special case loan that can't stay out the extra days.

This preference has no influence on the XSLT displays, but only on the MARC
display. It would be hard to impossible to do to fix that - you need to change

I disagree - but I will try to explain:

If you check out to a patron, where in the circulation conditions it's defined
that the library-patron category-itemtype combinations is to be automatically
renewed, then it happens automatically, there is no need for the checkbox. You
just check it out, circulation condition applies and done. This might only
apply to some itemtypes for a given patron category.

The checkox is only needed when you want to make an 'exception' - like when
specifying the due date or switching to on-site checkout. It should never be
checked by default, because the default cases are configured in the circulation
conditions. 

I hope this makes sense :)

Otherwise - I think this would be better split into multiple bugs - good ideas,
but should be dealt with separately.

The patron discharge feature added a "Discharge" tab in the left-hand sidebar
menu. I think if we follow views vs. actions guideline
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Interface_patterns#Views_and_Actions),
the link in the sidebar should say "Discharges" (as in view the patron's list
of discharges) and there should be menu item in the toolbar
(members-toolbar.inc) for the action of discharging the patron. I think this
should be added to the "More" drop-down menu.

This patch will display on the acquisition module home page the information
already displayed on the "manage fund" page (aqbudgets.pl).

Currently, Koha display the base-level amounts only.

This patch will :

1. rename the column "ordered", "spent" and "available" to "base-level
[ordered|spent|available]"

2. add the column "ordered", "spent" and available with the same calculation
from the "manage fund" page.

TEST PLAN :

1. Go to the Administration module
2. Add a new budget (ie : Budget 2016)
3. Add a fund to this budget (ie : Book)
4. Add a child fund (ie : Adult fiction)

You will have this hierarchy :

Budget 2016
 | Book
 |_ Adult fiction


5. Go to the Acquisition module
6. Place an order and use the "Adult fiction" budget
7. Go back the Acquisition home page and compare the table with the table from
the aqbudgets.pl page (Administration > Budget > Fund)
8. You will see :

BEFORE PATCH :
the base level amounts only

AFTER PATCH :
the base level and the total amounts

The "Add a new message" link is no longer visible on the checkout screen if no
other messages are present.

A sidebar on the right shows patron messages, if any, including hold waiting
notices, outstanding fines, messages on their account, etc.

Before Bug 15632 that sidebar displayed all the time, even if no messages were
present. This wasn't ideal, but at least it created a space for the "Add new
message" link to appear.

Now that the sidebar is gone if there are no messages we need a place for the
"Add new message" link. I think coming up with a new place for it is better
than making it work like it did before.

Checking the "is a url" box under "advanced constraints" in the MARC
framework/edit subfield section does not turn the subfield into a clickable
link when viewed in the OPAC display. This happens (well, does not happen) with
existing subfields and ones created for the MARC structure. This is either a
bug or there's another step not explained anywhere I can find.

As per a discussion in the IRC, I would suggest this pref be in the Circulation
Rules and not thrown in with the other prefs.  I think circ prefs should
migrate toward the circulation rules, and towards granularity.  This would be a
great place to start.

With that said, it would be great if the pref was settable on each library, and
one on the default page that would turn the feature on/off globally (master
switch).

And along the lines with what Owen said, if a patron/library has this setting
on, it should automatically show the checkmark during checkout.

As stated before, it would be great if this was indicated on the checkout slips
along with the other minor tweaks mentioned above.

Like the "issues" field in the items table, there should be a field for
"local_use" to keep the count of local uses.  While this information is kept in
the statistics table, it is a task to acquire, and if a library wants to keep
bloat down on their tables, the statistics are pruned on a regular schedule,
which means loss of valuable data.  This counter would keep that valuable
information in one field in each item record, rather than having a separate
field for each instance in the statistics table.

Unless it is vital to someone to know the exact moment a local use occurred, I
am suggesting that this piece of information not be recorded in the statistics
table any longer.  This would significantly reduce the growth of the statistics
table in general.

In an effort to keep reports tidy, it would be helpful if the
guided_reports.pl?phase=Use saved, phase=Edit SQL, and phase=Show SQL showed a
count of the number of times the report has been run, along with the date it
was last run on.

This would require two new fields, such as "Use count" and "Last run date".

I've no objection to switching to 'rss', but 'rss2' ought to continue to be
recognized as a format specifier; otherwise, we'll break existing feed
subscriptions.

Another approach would be to have greyed out icons with no words.  They would
be colored if active, and when you hover over the icon, it reminds you what it
is in a tip (in the proper language).  Just a thought.

I'm all for simplifying the screen, but there needs to be some indicator
showing that features are applied.  Too easy to forget.  Perhaps a marker (red
initial or icon) next to the link?

I also question if this feature is beyond the scope of the enhancement.  Maybe
another enhancement should be opened to address this concern?  I'm fine with
adding it to this if it doesn't drive up the cost of the project or delay it
too much longer.

Okay you're right it was an issue with my system: I had no "NOT_LOAN"
authorized values! I must have removed them while testing something else.

Should we add a check for this, or assume that no one running a real Koha
installation is going to do that?

[SIGNED-OFF] Bug 16114: Koha::ItemType->translated_description should return a
string

This patch fixes a regression introduce by bug 14828.
If an itemtype is translated, its description won't be displayed
correctly on the item search form.

Koha::ItemType->translated_description is only used once.

Test plan:
- define a translation for an item type (Administration ->
  Item types -> Edit -> Translate into other languages)
- go on the item search form, the item type should be displayed
  correctly.

QA note: This module is not covered by tests, it seems that I forgot to
write them...

Probably.

I just looked at the code quickly and I think the problem comes from the
_get_next_date_* subroutines where we force the day (or day and month) to the
same as firstacquidate. Maybe it's not necessary.

I can try to rule out a configuration issue by going back to an earlier

Confirmed. I was not able to change the next issue date in a durable fashion.
This might be a bigger problem than it seems, because in certain situations (a
"double issue" that skips a month, that is number 36 is for February and march,
and number 37 is for April) this is the recommended way of handling it. I
haven't tested this toroughly yet. Maybe the number guessing method makes sure
we don't get two issues for April, but there would be a lot of edge cases to
try.

Bug 7594 - Google Cover Javascript contains hardcoded CSS style

The JavaScript which handles the display of Google book cover images
includes a hard-coded "style" attribute. It may have been relevant to
the design of the old prog template, but it doesn't seem to have any use
in the Bootstrap one. This patch removes it.

I have replaced the style attribute with a class in case someone needs
a hook for some custom CSS.

To test, apply the patch, enable the GoogleJackets system preference,
and clear your browser cache if necessary.

- Search for a title in the OPAC which has a Google book cover image
  associated with it.
- View the detail page for that title. Confirm that the "Google Preview"
  link underneath the cover image looks correct.

I don't know how it worked before because I've never tried to do what you're
trying to do. But it makes sense that an RSS feed processor would not be able
to process the feed because the feed is inaccessible when the "OpacPublic"
system preference is set to require a login.

I personaly don't think this package should be moved yet: it contains SQL
queries and use Crypt::Eksblowfish::Bcrypt (should not be done outside of
Koha::AuthUtils imo).
But it works, so let's do that later...

Bug 15585 - Move C4::Passwordrecovery to the new namespace
Koha::Patron::Password::Reset

As promised, here is the long-awaited sequel to #8753.

What has changed :

- The Koha::Patron::Password::Reset is now used in place of
C4::Passwordrecovery
- That ugly shift-grep contraption is no more (goodbye old friend)
- The generated unique key won't end in a dot anymore
