Mark, as Jeff said, the military base is east of I-75. I will have a pilots briefing to go over that area. They just do not want you loitering over the depot, you can fly over it as long as you simply maintain legal altitudes over populated areas. With that said, again they do not really want you flying circles over the nerve gas bunkers!! In my pilot briefing I will bring it up forcefully...simply stay north/south of the airport and stay west of I-75 over all the unpopulated area and have all the fun flying you want. Military Weapon storage, Bluegrasss Army Depot. Defense contrators. The kind of weapons you dont want to be near. The kind that they have a fleet of buses with a staff of mechanics to keep in constant ready state in constant stand by to evac nearby civilians in the event anything bad happens. Been there as a contractor for emergency readiness systems prepare. Interesting place. Lots of traffic and air traffic between there and Fort Knox to the south west.
