That prop is gone. I have another one, though - and is available for anyone who can use it. Free. This is a Mahogany 52 x 62 with fiberglassed tips and leading edge protection. At 3 1/2" thick, it weighs just 5 lbs 1 oz and was made for a Continental A-75 with a type 1 hub on my KR2 (rotates clockwise from the cockpit). It was made to utilize lower RPM than Revmaster series. I never used it because I swapped out engines - it was just mounted temporarily. Sorry I can't provide the finish thickness - except to mention it was made for northwest operation (wet), so presumably it is coated well. I also can't provide other interesting trivia (glue, crush info, water composition, etc) because I don't know. It is a Props Inc model and is in pristine condition. My understanding is bolt sequencing, torquing, re-torquing, and alignment/tracking is subjective, so please don't ask me that either. Also, the prop position with regards to crankshaft position (with hand vs electrical starting) is also subjective. That means you'd have to figure all that out on your own. KR> Tail Section Hinge Points
Hi Mark, I have seen the 2 options you describe but dislike both. The servo in the elevator adds a little weight to the control which adversely affects flutter susceptiblity. This meanst additional counterbalance weight which in turn adds mass in the tail, something I'd like to avoid . The nyrod into the tail option has a couple of 'S' bends which adds a little friction to the control rod. Have you or anyone reading this seen the servo mounted in the horizontal stab with a shorter nyrod directly in line with the tab? Paul, Brisbane Australia. It's been a long time since I built mine, and that area is one of many in the plans that require careful study, and sometimes, wild extrapolation. Come to think of it, one of the things I'll do differently next time is butt the main spars up against each other to eliminate the gap between the spars, and the only way that could happen is if they are both the same width. A bushing is then used through the 3/8" bolt locations (and epoxied into the wood), so you only have one 3/8" joint per pair of WAFS, rather than two, and it's quicker to disassemble, and less of a hole is needed on top of the wing. Jeff, I was told that this is natural on a new engine.
