[Bug 404611] [NEW] Konqueror 4.3 - Missing SSL icon and Crypto settings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase Since KDE 4.3 (whether in Jaunty with backports or in Karmic) Konqueror no longer shows the green SSL icon (on the right side of the location bar) on https sites - so you can not get any information at all about the current connection security. Furthermore the complete Crypto settings in "Settings -> Configure Konqueror ..." is missing (should be an entry between Cookies and Browser Identification) - so no possibility to remove a forever accepted certificate (except if you delete ~/.kde4/share/apps/config/ksslcertificatemanager) or to change any TLS/SSL related settings. Don't know if is it a upstream bug (didn't found a report there) because the KDE 4.3 Live CD from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Medias/images/iso/ has the same problems. Even if the default browser in 9.10 will be Arora I think there will be enough people still wanting to use Konqueror - so I find it a severe regression. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Konqueror 4.3 - Missing SSL icon and Crypto settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: As the summary says, after updating to the newly released rc3 of KDE 4.3, on karmic, audio has started to stutter. [Bug 399837] Re: no pictures in digikam but still in folders
I also sufffered from this bug in 0.10.0. I decided to upgrade to digiKam 1.0.0 beta3 and this did the trick: my photos are back. There is however another annoying bug in this release: default sorting by date does not work. I will raise a new bugreport for that. -- no pictures in digikam but still in folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399837 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to digikam in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 404439] Re: [karmic] in KDE after logging out, the KDM login session opens no more
Could you please attach a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old and /var/Xorg.0.log after a failed log out and a reboot, along with the output of lspci -vvnn? [Bug 404459] Re: kpackagekit ui needs improvement
** Description changed: Binary package hint: kpackagekit The package names should be short, or at least should have an option. The user doesn't need to know that they are trying to download "firefox - 3.0.12 + build1 + nobinonly + 0ubuntu2 (all)" This is confusing and messy. Selecting a file to download needs work, the download arrow is light blue and the highlighted line is a slightly darker shade. On top of this, the light blue doesn't stand out very well from the grey. Maybe it should be a different colour, such as green. The downloading dialog is a mess. It shouldn't resize continuously, it should probably grow to fit the largest item but not shrink back afterwards. When downloading a lot of files the dialog jumps all over the place, making it impossible to click on hide or cancel without either clicking nothing or the wrong button all together. KPackageKit should not automatically exit when it has finished downloading and installing. If the user leaves the computer to go and do something else (make a coffee) and then returns to see that KPackageKit has vanished, the user might assume that the application just crashed without displaying an error. Also whilst downloading they might remember that they wanted to download something else and this means that they have to load it up all over again. The update manager should display files in alphabetical order. + + Update : + + The update manager appeared to crash when I elected to download the + updated packages. What had actually happened was that it had minimised + to the system tray without any notification + + There is also no need to display the decimal seconds remaining. No one + needs know that there are 45.00 seconds remaining. 45 will do. -- kpackagekit ui needs improvement https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404459 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kpackagekit in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
