And there was me looking at it and thinking that it would make a brilliant base for milanese. all in VERY bright colours!!! It's gorgeous... It is also a good beginner's pattern: it has a place to end, a place to start, left curves and right curves for turning stitches on both sides and sewings. A student could work it once right side up and once upside down to deal with hanging on and adding pairs or removing pairs. Tape is such fun to design. Thanks to all who tried to help me with my Bart and Francis mail problem. Now, I have three different addresses and I wrote to all of them the same text. We'll see what happened. RE: [lace] Lacemaking tool that boggles the mind
This is no lacemaking object. It's a child's puzzle. I bought one for my children many years ago but it was made of wood. The idea is that you have to get both beads together on the same part of the string. Oh yes, it can be done ( if you have an hour or two to spare.) I can't find it at the moment or I would scan it. However there is a similar one (not exactly the same) on this website - right at the bottom of the page. Re: [lace] Mark's tape
You are welcome! Such good ideas!!! I thought about Milanese too ;) Would like to see the results from anyone who tries out this design. Please let me know of any snags in the pattern or a better way to go about it. Teachers are welcome to share this pattern with their beginners.
