[lace] re: Queyras lace

2016-04-25 Thread Susan Vossier
I'm very privileged to own a Queyras "tambour' made and carved in
traditional Cembra pine by a friend, who used Claire le Goaziou's beautiful
book. With two friends who also have tambours made by Alain we have
decided to work Queyras lace on our traditional tambours at the Upaix Lace
Day in August. If any of you lovely people out there are in the Hautes
Alpes on 13th, 14th August, drop in and say hello!

Apart from Claire's book, in which there are seven lace prickings, Michelle
Andreu has produced 'Dentelle des Alpes' and Françoise Monneret has several
books on Alpine laces, which differ from valley to valley.

Sue from Montélimar, where a nippy Mistral is blowing dosn the Rhone
valley;..

[lace] Arachne Get Together in Indianapolis

2016-04-25 Thread Janice Blair
Hi Liz,I am no longer involved with the convention committee, having spent the
past five years as the Teacher Coordinator, so I am not in a position to find
out about the hotel or the schedule.  Looking at the schedule
online http://www.internationalorganizationoflace.org/Conventions/2016Conven
tion/Schedule/schedule.html  I can see a half hour on Tuesday evening after
the meal and before the Tat Off where we could meet, or maybe before the
Teacher Showcase.  I have no idea if packed lunches will be available this
year and whether we can meet during that time and eat together. Maybe we have
an Arachne member who is on the hosting guild and can help us out. How about
it Barbara?  Look forward to seeing you again Liz.Janice

[lace] Missing messages

2016-04-25 Thread ann.humphreys
I can understand individual email messages not showing on the archives but if
the digest is different from the archives where does the digest come from?
Best wishes

Re: [lace] Missing messages

2016-04-25 Thread Jill Hawkins
This is possibly due to members of Arachne using the _lace at dont dot
panix dot com_ email address rather than lace@arachne.com. Any messages
sent to the dont.panix email do not get archived.
