I have looked at your website many times. But I am struck once again by your
generosity and the effort involved in posting all these patterns. Thanks.

bobbin lace border or motif? My lace group is doing an exhibit this spring to
educate the public on the variety of lace styles. A sample of Mikhaylov would
be a nice addition. I understand this is a freestyle lace so there would not
be patterns but surely someone, in the interest of preserving knowledge has
created some. Thanks.

2020-02-19 Thread Jean Leader
Hi Jean,

I have something about making a sample of Mikailov lace on my website at
https://www.jeanleader.net/articles/fhlrussian.html
One repeat of the original lace that I copied was about 4.3 cm long, 3.3cm
wide, while the sample I made was about 3 cm long, 2.7cm wide. Would you like
me to send better quality images?

I have a book written many years ago by Gon Homburg and Lia Baumeister,
from the Netherlands. It has the patterns and diagrams of traditional
Michailov lace edgings. Perhaps if you get in touch with them... This is
Gon's webpage: http://www.kloskant.com/

Best wishes from a sunny Spain.
