RE: [lace] Out of Print Authors
I received Catherine's book in the mail today, and I agree with Jill, it is fabulous. And yes, I also haven't done needlelace in ages, but have hauled out what I started years ago (I can't even remember when), and am trying to find the patterns I was using, but have only found one so far. And I am looking at it and going huh? What am I supposed to be doing here? I guess I'll have to start with a beginner piece just go get it back into my mind how to do things. But it definitely is very inspiring. And I sure hope other lace books will also be republished. There are quite a few I'd like, but am not about to pay hundreds of dollars for each, I'd rather spend my money on thread or bobbins. I slipped up - sorry for not trimming my earlier post. Blame it on too much theses editing. What a great idea Jill. I will definitely do that. I'm so glad you managed to do this finally. At least others will now have the opportunity to obtain this wonderful work of art. Re: [lace] Out of Print Authors
I received my copy of Catherine's book yesterday and it is fabulous! I haven't done any needlelace in ages but it has me inspired and I may just start something... I know that some people aren't keen on the spiral binding because you can't see what the title of the book is, but DH suggested that I write the name of the book on a tie-on label and tie it to the spiral binding. I think this is a great idea and one that I will use with my other spiral bound books.
