Hello Spiders All,

I am a coffee person through and through! I will drink tea at Lace Days,
and that's the extent of my tea drinking, and that is mainly because I never
drink the 'Instant' type of coffee.I love the strong coffees, but whilst
on holiday found - in Tesco's!!! - a canned Capuccino drink, which is
supposed to be drunk ice-cold. We put that in the picnic boxes, with the
ice-packs to keep it cool, and I loved it, so much that I think I must have
boosted by a lot the shares of whichever company makes it, over the five
weeks! Now we're back, its back to the two-cup cafetiere for breakfast,
the filter coffee maker for 'elevenses' and lunch, the two-cup catetiere in
the afternoon, and the Italian silver-metal thingy in the evening. That
makes a really strong cup of coffee ... And yes - I am sure I would get
shakey and flaky if I had to do without my coffee ...

Carol - in Suffolk UK - now going to make a cup of coffee, as the willpower
is ebbing away.

[lace-chat] RE:tea and coffee preferences

2005-09-21 Thread Helen Bell
Hi All,

I'm a tea person first and foremost, and coffee comes second (beer and a
good glass of Merlot or a nice dessert wine or liqueur like Dom
Benedictine, Kaluha, or Amaretto are also up there).

I would drink tea all day long if I could (bad thing at this altitude -
very dehydrating), and as a treat, I'll indulge in Earl Grey, Orange
Pekoe and Lapsang Souchong (very smokey flavour) - and Twinings is my
preference (and no, even though I'm Australian of English mother, I
don't curl up my pinkie finger like they did in the ads on tv).

I'm not the hugest of herbal tea drinkers, but I do enjoy the Celestial
Seasonings English Toffee tea (quite relaxing after dinner - must get
some more if I can).

I generally like a flat white coffee, but will enjoy a cappuccino given
half a chance. My one little home indulgence is one of the flavoured
grinds, like tiramisu, and I'll make my own froth with my frother.

Cheers,
Helen, Aussie lacemaker in Delighful Denver
