Kenny, Byram, Peltier, Pearce, Warnock, Green, Tonge, Norris, White, Morison,
McCormack

So a recall for White
Norris back in the starting line up and no Varney - assume McCormack and
Morison up front - Diouf sub with recalled Poleon

SubsAshdown, Austin, Varney, Brown, Habibou, Diouf, Poleon.

[LU] Dawson injured

2013-04-06 Thread nat...@sky.com
If, like me, you were surprised that Dawson was not on the bench, at the very
least, it turns out that he is 'carrying a knock' so would not be risked

This may be the time for White to prove that he is a decent player - his pace
is not in doubt but his effectiveness is. Hopefully he will get help from
Warnock down the left and provide width, with Byram and Green on the right hand
side.

McCormack should be revelling in playing up front alongside Morison, let's hope
this is the start of a long standing and decent partnership

[LU] 0 0

2013-04-06 Thread nat...@sky.com
That is 16 games on the bounce when we have failed to score in the first half
of a game.

I am not sure quite what that statistic means (apart from the obvious we are
not very good) but to go so many games does suggest that there is something in
our tactics etc rather just some statistically anomaly

It sounds as though we started great but then totally lost the plot after about
10mins and have not had a shot worthy of the name or any possession since the
start

No chance. They will all drop points. 5 points below us is a massive massive
gap.

Teams above will (naturally) win more. I'd say a 5 point gap below is
equivalent to a 7-8 point gap above.

Still, we are an absolute shambles.

Just back from game and didn't hear said interview but I was angry with
Redfearn today. I can only assume he's not got the authority with the players
to be able to try things. I know he can't conjure new talent from thin air, but
I saw nothing today that couldn't have come from a Warnock team - no pace, the
only player with a degree of pace (Whyte) subbed, Poleon and Habibou rooted to
the bench, no Hall, Brown on for Tonge late on (an absolutely nothing decision
which failed to shore us up and preserve the point we had at that stage), and
always vulnerable to opposition pace at the back. Oh, and the trademark late
header conceded from close range.
Very depressing today. Ross tried hard but he never looked convinced he was
going to create anything.

Listening to his interview, he is making pathetic excuses. So obviously not a
leader.

We have conceded crucial, result-changing goals in the last six minutes five
times in the last seven games. That points to a lack of fitness.

The club needs an overhaul from top (GFH out) to bottom (the playing staff).

Yep Hughes got the most songs.

McCormack buzzed around and looked interested, Byram and Green tried to make
something happen - the rest of them were a waste of space.
Brown got booked 5 seconds after coming on and Morison may have just have
completed a trio of the worst ever Leeds appearances - i thought he was
avoiding the penalty area by the end to make sure he didnt miss any more
chances.

I hope we dont need any more points - as we dont look like getting any.

I heard Hughesy got the best reception - what does that tell us. The bloke was
at best an average Division 3 player but he had a bit of passion and how many
of the players who have turned out for us this season could you say that about
? Not many, if any ?

Just back from game and didn't hear said interview but I was angry with
Redfearn today. I can only assume he's not got the authority with the players
to be able to try things. I know he can't conjure new talent from thin air,
but I saw nothing today that couldn't have come from a Warnock team - no
pace, the only player with a degree of pace (Whyte) subbed, Poleon and
Habibou rooted to the bench, no Hall, Brown on for Tonge late on (an
absolutely nothing decision which failed to shore us up and preserve the
point we had at that stage), and always vulnerable to opposition pace at the
back. Oh, and the trademark late header conceded from close range.
Very depressing today. Ross tried hard but he never looked convinced he was
 going to create anything.

 Shortest odds is 16/1
Next 2 quick succession home games can, I hope, dispel all concerns.

What I meant by that is that if we were in 6th, say, I'd be more worried
about a team 7 points below us taking our playoff place than I would be of
 us being relegated now.
