A misconception that Batty didn’t contribute immensely going forward. A refusal to surrender the ball, yes - but did play positively. Then maybe just the type of passing has been more dangerous? Seems a lot less sideways and backwards and more offensive. Also the passing seems quicker and crisper, moving the ball faster (which to me would probably be harder to do so if they are as accurate that would be an improvement). Or maybe it has all gone to my head! I think he'll be pushing Allioski for that left sided position soon. Baker - 6. I thought he was a weak link. One or two good forward runs but not as solid as Kiltch. Bamford - 6. Scored a good goal and looks like he's got a nice left foot but he should have had a hat-trick. Bit of a dilemma here because I think he needs games but it looks like he'll be stuck on the bench for a while. 3 games, 3 wins so all good but I think there's a few concerns. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ RIP Jimmy WAC-COE ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ RIP Jimmy WAC-COE ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: h
Re: [LU] Bolton - a few thoughts
You can’t base everything on stats, but for what it’s worth our stats show that our pass accuracy over the past several years is pretty stable at around 74%. Our average in the first two games was 73.6%, so basically the same. No stats for last night, but I suspect it would be slightly less, if anything. For comparison, the better Premier League teams generally run well into the 80’s. I suspect that Bielsa will want us to at least improve on previous seasons. Re: [LU] Bolton - a few thoughts
The one thing Lampard did right on Saturday was, at half time, put old Bradley man to man on Saiz - That will happen, pretty much, from the off soon - Anyone worth his salt will notice it. The promising thing is, having had 10-15 minutes whereby we did go a bit quiet due to that, we found other ways around it. All for full second string now if, as I understand, from U18's upwards Bielsa has got everyone playing this way, hopefully everyone can then catch up on the pace and accuracy and we'll have backup.
