Re: [LU] Bye bye jack

I hadn't realised that Harrison was yet another who could leave on what is
essentially a free transfer. I'm intrigued as to what happens to the now 7
loanees in a years time.

Are they entitled to another loan ad infinitum until all their contracts
run down?

If by some miracle Farke puts a promotion run together, are they expecting
to come back? I guess with the lengths of their contracts, some of them
would still have some residual value in even 2 years time, otherwise all
these loans are essentially free-transfers. Orta (and Radrizanni I guess)
must have known all this.

However, the new ownership are just about the only people who could not see
this debacle happening, so they should have had a plan. I'm sure they could
have laid out some money before now, and then recouped some later, or
Perhaps it really is just to pick up half a dozen Premiership rejects on
loan on deadline day.

I think that is the most salient point John. No amount of money or
whatever they pay this lot with these days would be worth keeping them.
Clear out yes that's a must, hopefully with those at the helm having a
clear plan for replacements. Having said that when has anyone in the
boadroom at Elland Road ever been trustworthy, competent and capable?
The Jury remains out here in the rainy Northern Pennines.

(Incidentally I will be ending my boycott of Elland Road on the 2nd of
September for the Wendies debacle, all corporate and what have you).

Agree with all that. Harrison, only 1 cross out of 13 was decent and his
passing at times was terrible. He had a knack of finding an opposition shirt
with ease.
The team we put out against Brum was a Div 3 team, absolutely no quality
whatsoever and we could have played all week and not scored. Thing is, unless
Farke's taking off his leather jacket and playing up front I'm not sure he can
change it much if Sini, Willy and Summerville won't play / are injured. Did you
see Farke in his leather jacket ? It was boiling and he was pacing up and down
in his leather jacket , pissing sweat like a pig. Very strange.
This is an unbelievable position we find ourselves in and yes it is comparable
to some of the shambles in the past. I've never been that criticial of Raz,
Orta and Kinnear because of Bielsa but this has just ruined everything and they
will be remembered for it.
Total shambles.
I missed the first 2 games because of a holiday but am back for Friday but it
certainly won't be anything like the 4-0 Pablo game and I'm expecting the
worse.

us relegated/almost relegated twice in 2 seasons - they simply are not good
enough. Harrison scored some great goals, but his crossing was often woeful,
and whilst he always tried, is that enough? And when we needed him now, he’s
buggered off! OK, it’s a short career etc, but for me he’s on the
quitters/mutineers list.

If I had a season ticket I might be questioning exactly what I have paid to
watch, but this clear-out is long overdue - hopefully this is the start of the
club being run professionally (famous last words). On the still not yet gone
list, I hope Adams, Summerville and Sinisterra can be co-erced into staying,
but it seems like the entire first team will be gone soon!

It almost makes the Cellino era look settled - almost ;-)

The problem is .. which decent, or even half-decent, player is
going to want to join us? It's all very well for us to all berate them for
"not getting players in", but in the current financial state of football,
it aint that easy. Just last week a goodish player chose
Bourne-bloody-mouth over us, whilst I don't know if he actually had to
choose but Hamer, an alleged target, went to Sheff-bloody-ield United. My
hunch is that we agreed a fee for that Nat Phillips, but his agent said
"hang on, let's see if I can't persuade some Premier League outfit to buy
you." Lu-bloody-ton Town will probably be panicking enough after the next
game or two that they will see him as a good prospect.

I think our only hope is to pick up a few goodish lads on loan at the end
of Aug who are deemed surplus to PL requirements.
