LL:URL: post-privatisation electricity prices
The first post-privatisation inquiry into monopoly electricity prices in now underway. The electricity distribution businesses have made their submissions to the regulator re prices/service standards/quality of supply. They have proposing only minor price cuts when substantial cuts (especially for households) should be forthcoming. Customer groups are holding a forum on the 9th 10th of December at RMIT, Casey Plaza theatre to inform customers about the inquiry, about the DBs proposals. Without customer groups believet he DBs will spend $15m alone on this inquiry. customers about $15,000!!! Customers need to be active if their interests are to be served by the inquiry.
