Re: [LegacyUG] Baptism/Christening

2019-01-17 Thread Brian Kelly

Jenny,

Check your setting at Options 3.10 term for christening. This is a
family file setting so if you are using the Sample file it may be set
for Christening even though your private family file uses baptism.

I use Baptism in my own family file and with 3.10 set to use Baptism
both the Family View and the Individual entry screen use Bapt and not Chr.

I just did find a BUG. Even though the setting is supposed to be family
file specific it is acting like a global setting.

If you want to test this problem I have entered Issue 9167
http://www.legacytracking.com/Tracker/view.php?id=9167

Very odd! I had changed nothing, but although "Bapt" was showing on the
Family View screen it was "Chr" on the Individual's Information screen
and the Assigned SSources screen. However, I had closed down Legacy for
the night, but seeing this reply I opened it again and now everything is
back to normal and I'm getting "Bapt" or "Baptism" on all screens.

What part do you want to turn off? The messages you receive are what the LUG is

You obviously ARE a subscriber (whether you wanted to be or not) or you
wouldn't be getting the mails. You need to do as Chris Hill said.

I think maybe this answers my question.

All my Master Sources have titles which indicate the type of Source -
for example "Census - England 1851 or Baptism Records - Kent or Book -
Burke's Peerage" - so it would be very easy for me to find and tag any
particular type.

Have you set up your Source in such a way that it is easy to identify
all the Book Sources? If so, tag all those Sources in the Master Source
list, then go to Reports>Other and select the Source Citations report.
One of the items on the "Include" tab is "Only Tagged Sources."
