I have used Search - Detailed Search - Look for: Individual - Where to
look: Source-Citation - How to look: Contains - What to look for: here I
have entered some text unique to that certificate (usually the bride's
 maiden name).

This search worked (and is still working) perfectly in Legacy 7.5 but
the same search in Legacy 8 is not bringing up all the individuals I
would expect to find and is adding a handful of random people from my file.

 Has anyone else experienced this?

 Hello everyone,

I'd like to invite you to participate with us in something we've never tried
 before

Next Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 12:30pm (Eastern time) I will be teaching
the 3rd class of a 4-week Advanced Legacy Course at the West Valley
Genealogical Society library in Youngtown, Arizona. The classroom only has
room for our 20 students. Although we cannot increase the size of the
classroom, I'm hoping to test our new webinar technology that can expand the
attendance into the thousands. I don't know if it will work. I think it
 will

In other words, I will be teaching my advanced Legacy class to a live
audience at the library, but intend to also broadcast at the same time to
you. You don't have to live in Youngtown to come to class.

So, if you'd like to participate in this first-ever trial run, please

It may not be the right way, BUT, as a work around I give the surnames I
don't yet know, Zebra or Zelma or something with a Z as somewhat of a place
holder. That way when I see a Z name, I know it means I don't have it yet!
This is just my work-around. I hope this helps!

Subject: [LegacyUG] Unknown Maiden Surnames of sisters

When tidying up my files in preparation for Legacy 7.5 and the FamilySearch
interface. I came upon the following problem.
I had adopted the practice of using ? as the Surname of sisters when I did
not know their Maiden Names.
Consequently when I deleted this surname I lost the relationship of sisters.
Can someone please advise me the correct whey of overcoming this problem.
