Remember version ? which recalculated relationships each time? That really 
slowed things down! This sounds similar. Programmers fixed the old problem by 
forcing you to choose to recalculate. Perhaps they should do the same for 
Potential Problems in this version.


Someone using version 8+++ should send them a suggestion..

Linda G, I love you!  The extreme sluggishness was driving me to
distraction.  I thought it might be the integration with Family Search
as I always seemed to be waiting ages for all the little
green/orange/grey markers to fall into place (after having waited ages
for the screen to switch) but switching that off made no difference.
Your solution WORKED - hurrah!

Thanks for that Linda. I had to go into the ‘Change Potential Problem Settings’ 
box and remove each check mark from each box and then yes – it ‘zips right 
along’

 

Thank you so much. Do hope all the other people with the problem try this.  
It’s not a permanent fix but as you can say I can turn it on if I want to use 
it.
