What's wrong with render plugin?

2019-08-15 Thread gar
Since I upgraded to leo-6 i encounter the following:

- render plugin does not treat nodes content as in RST anymore - shows it
as plain text (to highlights or markups - nothing)
- specifying @rst for a node forces it to be rendered with markup - but
only this node, not it's children
- @targetlanguage settings also doesnt work anymore for render plugin (for
syntax highlighter it still works)

Tried your recipe.
@string central-dock-widget = body
fixes the odd behavior .
Thanks for that!

We might not be allowed to use FBS because of licensing: *"To comply with
its license, you need to open source your application itself under the GPL,
or buy a commercial PyQt license"*. This is probably because they solve
some of the packaging and distribution problems by bundling PyQt, which is
GPL (or commercial). I've asked their licensing department to clarify if
this restriction applies to X/MIT projects such as Leo.

Re: Two birthday stories on my 70th birthday

2019-08-15 Thread Kent Tenney
Happy birthday Edward!
Leo has been a big deal to me. I found Leo pre-python
and have been hooked ever since. Then I discovered you
live across the street from my high school sweetheart ...

This list is the only one I read every msg, this one here
is 5 of 15,221 ...

You've reached so many from the Leo bunker, I've heard
that Linus drives Linux from a basement room, so you're
in good company.

Thanks,
Kent

Re: In devel: all docks are now floatable

2019-08-15 Thread Chris George
I kept trying to replicate what seems to be happening to you.

Then I realized that my particular set-up is non-standard.

I prefer the body pane to be the central widget as that is where I spend
most of my time in Leo. This is the setting for that.

@string central-dock-widget = body

I also have set @bool dockable-log-tabs = True which may have an impact.

My render widget behaves exactly the same as all other widgets except the
body widget, which is what I would expect.

HTH,

Re: Linux Snapcraft and Packager integrations are broken

2019-08-15 Thread Chris George
This method (fman.io) lets people install it using a recognized system. It
also allows people to upgrade using their familiar package manager.

The fman software also allows packaging for Windows and Mac from the same
sources, basically one further step for each out of the twenty or so steps.
The downside is that the installers for Windows and Mac must be created on
those platforms, neither of which I have access to.

There is apparently a possibility using VirtualBox images that I am looking
into next.

I'm going to spend the rest of my time pushing Leo forward. Having said
that, I welcome specific proposals for useful refactorings. Those
proposals will compete with all other enhancement proposals.

As always, the way to get my attention is to write working code. I am

I'm not going to micro manage what happens after I am gone. Imo, following
