[liberationtech] Hacking + Wikileaks

2016-10-18 Thread DC Vito
Hello LT-listers,
I was forwarded to the Liberation Technology mailing list after chatting with an
Advisory Board member about Wikileaks + hacking.
I'm reaching out because I'm hoping someone can spare some time for a 15 minute
chat about any coding/CS orgs that are addressing how coding-enabled folks are
in the process of trying to impact our election/democracy. I run anonprofit
media education organization working with low-income youth, and one of the
programs we run is called "Coding/Decoding the Web", which makes this issue of
interest to us.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly at: dc at thelamp dot org
Thanks!
Sincerely,D.C. Vito
For a critical mass.

Daniel, if you guys have advice about account recovery when mischief
has happened, I'd love to be able to point to it in the future.

Thanks for suggesting Access Now's Digital Security Helpline. We
followed up with the original poster and were able to address some of
the emerging concerns.
