Small portion of text copied from web pages are pasted in the wrong position. Large portion of text (those I tried where inside a table) are not pasted at all, after few seconds of loading (both processes work fine if done in Openoffice, again if this helps). Am I missing something? Thanks for trying that ! you're sure you used 'soffice.bin' and not 'soffice' ? do you have write access to the directory that soffice.bin is in (prolly best to give that to yourself and run it from there). Also - you need to ensure no other soffice.bin is running or the factory behaviour will defeat you so perhaps 'pkill -9 -f soffice' beforehand (?). What else ? Can you run './soffice.bin' successfully yourself without valgrind ? if not perhaps we need to run 'soffice' with --trace-children=yes as another argument to valgrind. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48732] Hebrew Nikud still not represented properly
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48732 --- Comment #5 from Jonathan Allen jonat...@barumtrading.co.uk 2012-04-26 03:00:50 PDT --- Erwan, I also have problems with pointed Hebrew inserted in LTR text (French or English or Italian) - quite often it's correct on screen but bugged on printing and PDF exporting (but OK on .ps printing !) Yes, I too have noticed significant issues with printing from both OO and LO in a Windows environment in exactly the way you describe. In my case, it is usually with numbered lists: on-screen they look fine, but are always mis- spaced on printing directly but are usually correct with PDF export. I've opened your file on my computer and it's OK, cf screenshot. As far as I understand from your screenshot, you're running Win XP. I've read that XP, Vista and Seven use different versions of Uniscribe, the Microsoft DLL used for rendering complex uniscribe text. Maybe the bug is related to the way LibreOffice talks with the Uniscribe DLL. Yes, I confirm that the text is exactly right on your screenshot. Sadly, since I am stuck with the Win XP laptop, I still need a fix for this ... https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46805 Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REOPENED|RESOLVED Resolution||FIXED --- Comment #17 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com 2012-04-26 04:58:23 PDT --- The patch fixes the N^2 in the insert/sort - unfortunately that only saves around 1/2 the time - the rest seems to be some diffuse wasteage of a reasonably normal and fairly unbelievable kind (harder to fix). This takes me down from 1200ms to load the list to 700ms or so - which should be better. Give it some testing, and if you're happy I'll get some review / cherry-picking action to -3-5. Ultimately this code needs a re-write to use STL anyway so ... :-) I'd prefer to wait for / encourage that: perhaps adding this specific instance of: editeng/source/misc/svxacorr.cxx and it's 'SvxAutocorrWordList' to the STL porting EasyHack might help if you'd like to dig that out. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38639 --- Comment #4 from Niklas Johansson sleeping.pil...@gmail.com 2012-04-26 05:33:16 PDT --- Reproduced with LibreOffice 3.5.2. Some extra info: The footers in page 2, 3, 4 gets exported into a page style called Converted1. The problem is it never gets used. The first page has a continuous section break followed by a simple page break. As far as I know Writer don't really have a equivalent for the continuous section break. If a continuous section break appears in a document the next page might include a new header/footer which may or may not be linked with the previous header. If it would have been a next page section break then every thing would have worked as expected. I suppose this will be hard to fix without introducing an equivalent to continuous section break. I will attach a PDF created by Word 2010 so people without Word can see how it is supposed to look. PS. I did a short test converting this file to odt using Word 2010, let's say that it gave some interesting results. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49174] New: fuzzy output on paper, but clear output printing after exported to PDF
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49174 Bug #: 49174 Summary: fuzzy output on paper, but clear output printing after exported to PDF Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.2 Release Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: jusfi...@att.net Created attachment 60616 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=60616 photo of printed output from Lib0 .odt file When LibreOffice is used to print output onto paper. the result is fuzzy. Normal text appears similar to bolded text, except it is disturbingly rough along the edges. See the first attached image for an example (scale on left is mm / cm). I had thought this problem must arise from the printer driver, but I have observed that on the same computer, using the same printer driver, etc. that clean and sharp output can be obtained. In LibreOffice while viewing the same text file with no change in font or any other formatting, select File, Export as PDF Use a PDF viewer such as Evince to open the resulting file, and render the same file onto paper using the same print driver, printer, etc. See the second attached image for an example of the fine clear sharp output one would expect to always see. The magic is not in the conversion to PDF format, for if one uses LibreOffice Draw to view and print the PDF, the result is just as crudely fuzzy as when Writer printed the original .odt file. This problem was first observed on earlier releases such as: LibreOffice 3.3.4 and has been reproduced with: LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 Build ID: 281b639-6baa1d3-ef66a77-d866f25-f36d45 What can I do to assist LibO to produce respectable-quality output on paper directly, without having to detour through a file format conversion and use of another application? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
