Right. Miklos added a new checkbox to that tab page, which required changing
its height. Unfortunately that means that heights of all other tab pages that
might be used with combination with it need to be adjusted too. Oh, the joys of
absolute positioning...

Using LibreOffice together with Alfred on my Mac the .odf are not showing up in

Just to highlight the relevance of this bug.

Bug #38513 demonstrates that abysmal SfxItemSet performance contributes to 10
minutes loading time and 1h saving time for a 2mb .odt file containing lots of
style switches.

Not sure if the other bug should depend on this one or vice versa.

This might as well affect any other LibreOffice component, if you have a
 recent
master built, please let us know, if it does or doesn't.

I tried with Impress and Draw -- the rulers seem OK for me, so at the moment
this looks like a Writer-only issue to me.

Changed the Summary field by adding 'vertical' in order to prevent
misunderstandings like my one (see comment #3 and comment 4), if possible ;-)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49046] FORMATTING: Incorrect Display of Bullets Points, Table Borders and Heading Underlining when Reading doc/docx Documents

2012-05-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49046

--- Comment #21 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de 2012-05-15 00:44:12 PDT ---
(In reply to comment #20)
For future reference would splitting up into the following bug reports have
 been helpful:

 1) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu doc import of bullets
 2) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu docx import of bullets
 3) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu doc import of Title, missing underline
 4) Error after LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu docx import, save to pdf has missing
 table borders
 5) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu doc import, no longer fits a single
 page
 6) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu docx import, no longer fits a single
 page
 7) Error with LibreOffice Ubuntu docx import, title now on two lines rather
 than one
 8) Error with LibreOffice Ubuntu doc import, header text on two lines rather
 than one

Well, good question. This may be a matter of taste. Some of these problems may
be related, but it often turns out only after some testing which problems are
really related and which are not (e.g. the problem with the import of bullets
from .doc and .docx files may have the same roots, or may not). My suggestion
would be to report the .doc and .docx issues together in one bug report, if the
reminder of the problem is the same; i.e. to report
1 and 2 together,
5 and 6 together,
7 and 8 together (?),
but to report 3 and 4 each on their own. Other people could suggest other ways
to proceed, but I think this is at least reasonable.

Thank you for your report! Can you still reproduce this problem with a newer
LibreOffice version?

I have never seen this problem with LibreOffice. Only when I first start
LibreOffice after installing a new version, something similar happens
(LibreOffice opens in the background).

@Alex Thurgood:
What do you think? My proposal: The original reporter has not answered to Björn
Michaelsen's message, so the problems seems to be fixed/not urgent to him. If
the original reporter does not answer after some days/weeks, I propose to close
this report as FIXED/WORKSFORME.

This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.

  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49949] New: [EDITING, FORMATTING] misdirected/wrong arrow links of comment field regarding to owner cells when importing xls

2012-05-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49949

 Bug #: 49949
Summary: [EDITING, FORMATTING] misdirected/wrong arrow links of
comment field regarding to owner cells when importing
xls
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
  Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Windows (All)
Status: NEW
  Severity: critical
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: klauspeter.schm...@gmx.de

Created attachment 61675
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=61675
Example XLS showing the misdirection effect for comment fields

The example misdirected_comment_links.xls leads in LibO 3.5.3.2 on both
Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit to the following
irritations as shown in the wmv-videoclip
LibO_3.5.3.2-misdirected_comment_links.wmv.

Cell K278 OK

Cell L348:
a) on mouse-over:
arrow points wrongly to L347, the comment field properly placed

b) via context menu show comment
arrow points wrongly to L347, the comment field placed offside on level L302

Cell L349:
a) on mouse-over:
arrow points wrongly to L348, the comment field properly placed

b) via contect menu show comment
arrow points wrongly to L348, the comment field placed offside on level L302

Because of the fact that linked arrows to cells are commonly used
eye-catchers to make information references easy and because of LibreOffice
is intended to manage xls format, I would like to state this behavious as
critical.

Problem description:

Using Portuguese eID middleware, to use Portuguese identity card (smartcard),
it's not possible to sign documents in WINDOWS 7 OS.
URL portuguese eID middleware:
http://www.cartaodecidadao.pt/index.php?option=com_contenttask=viewid=102Itemid=44lang=pt

I think that the problem is in LibreOffice Minidriver implementation, cause i
can use this feature withou any problem in Windows XP (Windows XP uses CSP to
manage smart cards, Windows 7 uses Minidriver instead)

This portuguese middleware works correctly with Microsoft Office and Internet
Explorer (Applications that use Minidriver)

Steps to reproduce:
1. In LibreOffice Writer (as example)
2. File - Digital Signatures: Digital Signatures Dialog will appear
3. Click on Sign Document - A list of personal certificates will appear
(atach: 2-certificates_list)
4. If we click on View Certificate, The Tab General will be presented as
blank. It should present the certificate information (attach:
3-view_certificate_blank) all the other tabs are correctly shown.
5. After select the right certificate, i click on sign, and ther is presente an
arror mesage. (attach: 4-required_driver)

Current behavior:
- Certificates information are not presented.
- The document is not signed.

Expected behavior:
- The certificate should be presented.
- Document should be signed

But table on page 1 is visible with 3.5.3. I will file an extra bug report.

Andras, does it trigger any bell?

If I understand it correctly, the reporter was able to install LO-3.5 after
uninstalling LO-3.4. AFAIK, it is not a general problem. It might be caused by
some strange state of the system = it should not block the next release =
lowering the severity a bit.

Hm, this sounds like bug 46074, only that
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46074#c59 means it should
automatically work again in LO 3.5.3.

Yorick, there should be a file registrymodifications.xcu in LO's per-user
configuration data (not sure where exactly that is located on your machine,
likely somewhere underneath C:\Documents and Settings or somesuch). Can you
check whether temporarily moving that file away solves the problem? Also, I
would be interested in the content of that file -- it is a text XML file and
should not really contain sensitive information, so if you are OK with sharing
it you can attach it here or send it to me directly, sbergman at redhat dot
com.

@Roman Eisele:
Thank you for the information. I did not realise that pages of a similar style
must be separated by pagebreaks. However, coincidentally, each page of this
particular document does end with a page break! So the bug still stands.

To attest that the page breaks exist in the document without having to upload
it (sensitive information), consider the starting condition of the document as
described:
Page 1 is Default page style
Page 2 is No Footer page style
Page 3 is Default page style

Furthermore, in the first screenshot it can be seen LO's new pagebreak
indicator between the pages.

Reporter did not answer, so we should simply close this one. We had some issues
that the user had to use an uninstall tool to remove 3.4.4 before he was able
to install 3.6, may be reporter has the same problem.

So closing.

Please feel free to reopen this bug if you find out that the problem still

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49432] No way to reliably kill LibreOffice when run in a headless way and accessed solely via the API

2012-05-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49432

--- Comment #4 from Michael Stahl mst...@redhat.com 2012-05-15 06:21:32 PDT

ah yes that problem sounds familiar, i had it when some of our unit tests,
which also use remote UNO from Java, got wedged somehow and the soffice.bin
kept running, which was quite annoying, hence the commit cited in
comment #3.

so please try out if LO 3.5.3, which includes the commit, fixes your problem.

the soffice shell script exec's the oosplash program, which in turn forks
soffice.bin, hence sending a SIGTERM to the soffice process spawned
from Java UNO ought to work (it does work for the unit tests at least,
see unotest/source/java/org/openoffice/test/OfficeConnection.java
tearDpwm method for extensive error handling stuff).

there are however still race conditions, i.e. it is possible (though
extremely unlikely) that the soffice.bin terminates by itself
before the SIGTERM is sent to it, and an unrelated process is
spawned in the meantime that happens to have the same PID...
but there doesn't seem to be a POSIX interface that allows
to kill a process and all its children; apparently systemd
uses Linux specific cgroups to get that feature
(i wonder if that is something that requires root):

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49522] scrolling back through datagrid not updating data.

2012-05-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #4 from Ian~G grayl...@orange.net 2012-05-15 06:41:20 PDT ---
As mentioned in the comment #2, it seems to be an older bug.

I'm a bit confused by this. OpenOffice 3.4 was only released a few days ago.

Just to clarify. You can scroll down through a table and can also scroll left
and right, but you cannot scroll back UP the table.

You can kind of get round it a bit by scrolling down to the record you want to
look at then refresh the data to get back to the top (ugh!)

Scrolling in earlier versions was always a bit duff. for example horiz
scrolling didn't work with a mouse but the trackpad did work. Vertical
scrolling worked with a scroll wheel or trackpad but not the scrollbar. I
reckon fixing this has thrown up this new problem.

Sorry I can't copy the datafile for you; it contains sensitive data.

Many thanks for your help with this. I hate to be deploying new installations
of two year old ubuntu with OpenOffice 3.2

Thanks for bugreport
Steps to reproduce:
0. Opens second attachment. There we see red circle over blue.
1. Select red circle
2. Right click, select from context menu Arrange-Send to back
(red circle disappears behind blue)
3. Save document
4. File-Reload
Expected: document seen as before step 4
Actually: document changed, red circle appears again.

Reproduced in 3.3.4 and 3.5.3 on Fedora 64 bit and in 3.5.2 on Windows 7 32 bit

In msExcel this document opens correctly (red circle hidden behind blue)
Therefore, LibreCalc saves Z-order correctly, but can not open

Enabling the LanguageTool (1.7) extension with openjdk-7 causes the problem the
problem.

When openjdk-6 is used with or without LanguageTool (1.7) there is no problem.

When openjdk-7 is used LanguageTool (1.7) is disabled the problem goes away.

So I think we have the culprit, enabling LanguageTool (1.7) on LO with
openjdk-7 causes the undesirable bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49959] New: Autofilter is too restrictive

2012-05-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49959

 Bug #: 49959
   Summary: Autofilter is too restrictive
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: nicolas.mail...@laposte.net

On spreadsheet documents with complex formatting, one often encounters multiple
layers of empty lines and titles spread over merged cells before getting to
actual tabular data

Sometimes one even gets multiple tables in the same tab, each separated by
empty lines and merged titles

calc is not able to autofilter such a document, while excel works fine

When encountering an irregular document, the autofilter :
1. should ignore lines where the filtered column does not exist (empty lines or
cell merged with another column), and filter the other lines
2. either hide all those garbage lines when filtering (like excel) or display
them in addition to the filtered lines (ideally the user should be able to
switch them on, as titles give context to the filtered content)

Yes, this is a bug: The phrases 2-up, 4-up, etc. is a commercial printing term

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48345] Display wrong datasets when scrolling through tables

2012-05-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48345

--- Comment #2 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu 2012-05-15 09:41:13
PDT ---
There's something wrong in how the window is populated in function
dbaccess::ORowSetCache::fill (file dbaccess/source/core/api/RowSetCache.cxx),
but I don't think that the problem is in that function; it is basically a loop
of

for(; _bCheck  _aIter != _aEnd; _aIter++, _nPos++)
{
m_pCacheSet-fillValueRow(*_aIter, _nPos);
_bCheck = m_pCacheSet-next();
}

Note that the *first* execution of this loop gives correct data; this shows
e.g. if you scroll back to the *first* row in the table, that first row is
displayed correctly.

Subsequent executions of the loop are fucked up and fill in wrong data (from
another row than expected).

I followed the call of fillValueRow, it executes correctly but with wrong data.
It seems to me that m_pCacheSet is not positioned correctly, that's it. This
would mean the bug is in the call to m_pCacheSet-next(). The latter is
basically a delegation to m_xDriverSet-next(), so the problem must be there.

Ah, this is an OKeySet... Looking at OKeySet::next()... Yup, I think I nailed
it.
