[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49046] FORMATTING: Incorrect Display of Bullets Points, Table Borders and Heading Underlining when Reading doc/docx Documents
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49046 --- Comment #21 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de 2012-05-15 00:44:12 PDT --- (In reply to comment #20) For future reference would splitting up into the following bug reports have been helpful: 1) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu doc import of bullets 2) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu docx import of bullets 3) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu doc import of Title, missing underline 4) Error after LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu docx import, save to pdf has missing table borders 5) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu doc import, no longer fits a single page 6) Error with LibreOffice MacOS/Ubuntu docx import, no longer fits a single page 7) Error with LibreOffice Ubuntu docx import, title now on two lines rather than one 8) Error with LibreOffice Ubuntu doc import, header text on two lines rather than one Well, good question. This may be a matter of taste. Some of these problems may be related, but it often turns out only after some testing which problems are really related and which are not (e.g. the problem with the import of bullets from .doc and .docx files may have the same roots, or may not). My suggestion would be to report the .doc and .docx issues together in one bug report, if the reminder of the problem is the same; i.e. to report 1 and 2 together, 5 and 6 together, 7 and 8 together (?), but to report 3 and 4 each on their own. Other people could suggest other ways to proceed, but I think this is at least reasonable. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49432 --- Comment #4 from Michael Stahl mst...@redhat.com 2012-05-15 06:21:32 PDT --- ah yes that problem sounds familiar, i had it when some of our unit tests, which also use remote UNO from Java, got wedged somehow and the soffice.bin kept running, which was quite annoying, hence the commit cited in comment #3. so please try out if LO 3.5.3, which includes the commit, fixes your problem. the soffice shell script exec's the oosplash program, which in turn forks soffice.bin, hence sending a SIGTERM to the soffice process spawned from Java UNO ought to work (it does work for the unit tests at least, see unotest/source/java/org/openoffice/test/OfficeConnection.java tearDpwm method for extensive error handling stuff). there are however still race conditions, i.e. it is possible (though extremely unlikely) that the soffice.bin terminates by itself before the SIGTERM is sent to it, and an unrelated process is spawned in the meantime that happens to have the same PID... but there doesn't seem to be a POSIX interface that allows to kill a process and all its children; apparently systemd uses Linux specific cgroups to get that feature (i wonder if that is something that requires root): http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/systemd-for-admins-4.html -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I'm a bit confused by this. OpenOffice 3.4 was only released a few days ago. Just to clarify. You can scroll down through a table and can also scroll left and right, but you cannot scroll back UP the table. You can kind of get round it a bit by scrolling down to the record you want to look at then refresh the data to get back to the top (ugh!) Scrolling in earlier versions was always a bit duff. for example horiz scrolling didn't work with a mouse but the trackpad did work. Vertical scrolling worked with a scroll wheel or trackpad but not the scrollbar. I reckon fixing this has thrown up this new problem. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49871] LibreOffice is very slow and crashes a lot with openjdk-7
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49871 --- Comment #5 from goldf...@aol.in 2012-05-15 07:35:32 PDT --- Enabling the LanguageTool (1.7) extension with openjdk-7 causes the problem the problem. When openjdk-6 is used with or without LanguageTool (1.7) there is no problem. When openjdk-7 is used LanguageTool (1.7) is disabled the problem goes away. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49959] New: Autofilter is too restrictive
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49959 Bug #: 49959 Summary: Autofilter is too restrictive Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.3 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: nicolas.mail...@laposte.net On spreadsheet documents with complex formatting, one often encounters multiple layers of empty lines and titles spread over merged cells before getting to actual tabular data Sometimes one even gets multiple tables in the same tab, each separated by empty lines and merged titles calc is not able to autofilter such a document, while excel works fine When encountering an irregular document, the autofilter : 1. should ignore lines where the filtered column does not exist (empty lines or cell merged with another column), and filter the other lines 2. either hide all those garbage lines when filtering (like excel) or display them in addition to the filtered lines (ideally the user should be able to switch them on, as titles give context to the filtered content) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48345] Display wrong datasets when scrolling through tables
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48345 --- Comment #2 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu 2012-05-15 09:41:13 PDT --- There's something wrong in how the window is populated in function dbaccess::ORowSetCache::fill (file dbaccess/source/core/api/RowSetCache.cxx), but I don't think that the problem is in that function; it is basically a loop of for(; _bCheck _aIter != _aEnd; _aIter++, _nPos++) { m_pCacheSet-fillValueRow(*_aIter, _nPos); _bCheck = m_pCacheSet-next(); } Note that the *first* execution of this loop gives correct data; this shows e.g. if you scroll back to the *first* row in the table, that first row is displayed correctly. Subsequent executions of the loop are fucked up and fill in wrong data (from another row than expected). I followed the call of fillValueRow, it executes correctly but with wrong data. It seems to me that m_pCacheSet is not positioned correctly, that's it. This would mean the bug is in the call to m_pCacheSet-next(). The latter is basically a delegation to m_xDriverSet-next(), so the problem must be there. Ah, this is an OKeySet... Looking at OKeySet::next()... Yup, I think I nailed it.
