UI_LANGS works fine if there is no LO installation present on a computer. But, if there is an installation already, UI_LANGS doesn't change UI languages. This is a problem because if we have an installation that has all UI languages and want just to remove them, we can't do it by reinstallation. Dictionaries on the other hand can be modified. Can you please comment or change this behavior? PS. If it doesn't seems probable, that's what happened to us. Software management installed LO 3.6.0 as an upgrade to our 3.5.4, with all UI languages which made LO very slow. It was not on the list of managed programs at all, but how it happened is a different issue. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 39439] Web search for UI strings
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39439 Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||lohma...@gmx.de --- Comment #2 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com 2012-09-06 08:58:06 UTC --- Do you plan to have a scheduled script that will feed a db after scanning the git repo, or do you want real-time search ? Up to whomever implements it I suppose :-) but a database which could be a flat text file really (all our *.?rc files are only 15Mb concatenated with misc. headers included). If you set it in a live server, will it be integrated with something else, meaning you may have a preferred web technology : perl/cgi, php, python/cgi ? Good question; again I think we're flexible here; for a preference I'd poke Cloph, but if you use your favorite (non-haskell/eiffel/erlang type ;-) web language it should be fine I hope. If not real-time, when talking about a database, do you plan to have a real one, and which one: mysql, sqlite, xml, postgres ? Whatever comes easily to hand is fine I suppose. I guess something small and simple would be fine; feasibly we could pre-compute and cache the results pretty easily, or just forward to a set of opengrok queries for the SID_FOO_BAA that we map Set Background Color to - so the data set is small. I'm personally nervous of big system level databases, with permissions, admin pain, access control issues, etc. etc. ;-) Does that make sense ? - thanks so much for taking an interest ! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53965] : Character ` is inserted while cycling through the windows on Mac
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53965 --- Comment #6 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de 2012-09-06 10:07:37 UTC --- Created attachment 66716 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=66716 Screenshot of Keyboard Shortcuts settings (Mac OS X 10.6.8, UI language English, Spanish ISO keyboard) Sorry again for the long delay! (In reply to comment #5) Indeed command + '' works fine as well for me. However it is not in line with other mac applications (especially the finder). And command + '`' should, in my opinion, cycle the windows in libre office without printing the character. This is interesting. If I configure everything according to your settings reported in comment #2, my result is slightly different: for me, Command + '' works in all applications (including Finder, Apple’s TextEdit, and others), while Command + '`' does not work in many applications. I would be very interested about what default setting do you see for these keyboard shortcuts in System Preferences Keyboard, tab Keyboard Shortcuts. For me, these settings look like the attached screenshot shows: the default screenshots for cycling through windows are Command + '' and Command + Shift + ''. Could you create a screenshot of the same preferences section on your system and attach it to this bug report? This would be very interesting ... so thank you in advance! Maybe a menu item cycle through windows could also be added in the window menu. IMHO this woild be the best solution, as this menu item could also show the recommended keyboard shortcut (which would eliminate any doubts ;-). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

So Command + '`' is really the default keyboard shortcut for Move focus to next window on your system. This is interesting; it means that Apple varies even the default keyboard shortcuts for these standard actions -- Command + '' on my System, even if I set the UI language to English, but Command + '`' on your System. Now I can answer profoundly to your previous post: (In reply to comment #5) Indeed command + '' works fine as well for me. However it is not in line with other mac applications (especially the finder). Given the fact that Command + '`' is really the default keyboard shortcut on your system, I agree with you: this shortcut should work in LibreOffice, too. And command + '`' should, in my opinion, cycle the windows in libre office without printing the character. Agree -- when Command is down, '`' should not be considered as a dead key, but just as a ordinary key, so that no '`' is inserted into the text, but the shortcut is handled. I do agree that it is a really minor bug, especially if there is an alternative solution. But if it can be addressed in a future release, it would be nice. Yes. I am afraid that it may take a long time until this issue is addressed (there are so many important issues which should get fixed first), but let us hope the best. → Changing bug report state to NEW (confirmed). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

But to the issue (that I fail to see the problem with). Yes, you only get the version selection in all three cases, but all of them work according to the selection you did choose when opening the tab. You get the french version in the tab that was opened when clicking on french, you get the English one in the tab that was opened when clicking on English, you get German in the tab that was opened when clicking on German. That three versions were offered was a temporary glitch. You're only meant to see the two release versions. RCs/other prerelease versions are separated by a different heading and a corresponding note, if there are any. Yes, it is bothersome to have to click through three different pages just to switch the language (this is being worked on), but I fail to see the problem with the version selection page. How often do you download stuff in different languages but in different versions? You won't download German in 3.5.x, and french in 3.6.x, will you? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
