[Reproducible] with reporter's confidential sample document and Server
Installation of LibreOffice 3.6.2.2 rc German UI/ German Locale [Build-ID:
da8c1e6] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)

Worked fine with Server Installation of LibreOffice 3.6.0.4 German UI/Locale
[Build-ID:  932b512] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)

CRASH is still [Reproducible] with reporter's confidential sample document and
Server Installation of LibreOffice 3.6.3.0+ English UI/ German Locale
[Build-ID:  1e73405] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)  {tinderbox:
Win-x86@9, pull time 2012-10-05 15:31:15}

Symptoms look similar to those in Bug 55379 - FILEOPEN CRASH for particular
.ods, but I can't tell whether backtraces underpin this suspect.

Modified OS due to comment 9

I sent a sample document to Roman Eisele, may be he can confirm problem and
create a backtrace for comparison with Bug 55379

@Markus: Please ask Julien for Sample document if he did not send already

Python script that listens for window.activate events

Writer is not returning a window.activate event when the focus is returned by
Alt-Tab. You can see the window.activate events generated with the attached
python listener.

To reproduce:
1. Open Writer.
2. Alt-Tab away from Writer to another window.
3. Alt-Tab back to Writer. No window.activate event is generated for Writer.

http://www.libreoffice.org/download/release-notes/ correctly shows
LibreOffice 3.6.2 Final (2012-10-04)
LibreOffice 3.5.6 Final (2012-08-15)

And I definitely would NOT recommend 3.6.2

I see a problem on http://www.libreoffice.org/download-more/, there in the
heading LibreOffice 3.6.1 Final (2012-08-29) is listed, but the links at the
bottom correctly show LibO_3.6.2_Win_x86_install_multi.msi

I wonder from where that page is linked, may be it is an orphan page?

Can someone please have a look and then close this bug again?

 I sent a sample document to Roman Eisele, may be he can confirm problem and
 create a backtrace for comparison with Bug 55379

The crash is also REPRODUCIBLE on Mac OS X (10.6.8, Intel), with LibreOffice
3.6.2.2. The same symptoms: LibO crashes when the progress bar for the fileopen
process is at ca. 75%.

If I repeat the test and compare the log files, I get two slightly different
types of log files: sometimes the first line of the stack trace reads
0   libsclo.dylib 0x21d65784 ScFormatEntry::operator==(ScFormatEntry
const)
 const + 20
and sometimes it reads just:
0   ???   00 0 + 0
but this is the only difference of both. I will attach the log file. It does
only contain a simple stack trace without full symbols, but at least this will
be sufficient for comparison with other bugs.

Changing Platform again to “All” (please do not change it again back to
“Windows” ;-), this is definitely a cross-platform issue).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55696] New: changed error bar values when copying a chart

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55696

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 55696
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: changed error bar values when copying a chart
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: jurgen.he...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.6.2.2 release
 Component: Chart
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 68162
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=68162action=edit
screenshot of the input chart (right) copied to the presentation, showing its
data table ()

This applies to the intel Mac OS 10.4 and Linux AMD64 versions of libreoffice,
both 3.6.2.1 and 3.6.2.2. are affected. Here's the bug:

1. create a chart with Y error bars (did not try X) from 2 columns, one with
the values and the second column with the error bar values (tested bars and
lines)

2. copy the chart to any other component, i.e. write, presentation, drawing

3, the error bars get changed. A look at the chart data table in draw or
presentation shows that the error bar values are now the same as the chart
values.

example (pos. / neg. error bars with same value or with different values)
1;0.1
2;0.15
3;0.2

turns into
1;1;1
2;2;2
3;3;3
in the chart data table

I think this bug is really impairing when you want to keep your chart a vector
graphics as it should be.

Thanks for your great effort, I me and my wife really like libreoffice.

   Summary: impossible to define data ranges beyond actual filled
cells
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: chemis...@gmx.de
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.6.2.2 release
 Component: Chart
   Product: LibreOffice

expected:
in an existing chart the user can decide which should be the end of the data
range, even if there empty cells in the selected range.

application example for this: monitoring a running measuring system which
provide additional data every 20 s.
New data added by manual copy and paste via Notepad++ from the first data on.
There are some charts for different parameters to monitor at the same time.

how to reproduce:
create an (x-y-scatter)chart for some filled cells e.g. A1:B5
select data row x
extend the range beyond the filled cells, e.g. to A10 or more
the range will be shortened by calc nearly immediately after the input, if not
before then at the time when you switch to the y-range to extend the range

this regression is true for all relases newer then LibreOffice 3.4.6

this behaviour is mentioned in Bug 47593 as point A

Could be I don't understand the description:
1. You have imported a table from a speadsheet with two columns, both formatted
as number, in a Base-table.
2. You changed the format of the columns in the Base-table to show the numbers
as currency.
3. When you open this table all values were reverted (1 was reverted to -1,00 $
for example).

Could you please add an attachment, that shows this behavior (table with
currency-formatted fields and table without currency-formatted fields)?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55682] LibreOffice Calc

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55682

--- Comment #2 from David dlmitc...@hotmail.com ---
Hello,

I didn't know that you needed that much information, so I'll try to be more
clear.

The trouble that I am having is:

   1. When I add a new Comment Box to any cell in Calc, the new Comment box
   is already pre-formatted for a Default font that is so small that I can
   barely grab it with the mouse to change it to a larger font that I can see.
   And if it matters, the sheet size is reduced to 60%, so I can fit more
   cells on the screen. Once I can highlight the font in the Comment Box, then
   I have no problem to change it, but I have to do this action with every new
   Comment Box. I want to be able to change the Default Fault within the
   Comment Box to something that I like and I don't know how to do this so
   that the Font in the next New Comment Box will not need to be changed.
   2. When I add a New Comment Box and type in the Comments, I highlight
   the outside edges of the Comment box and move the Box to a different
   location on the spreadsheet, the Comment Box does not stay in the New
   Location that I had just moved it to. When the Comment Box is released from
   the mouse and I select a different Cell on the sheet, the Box that I had
   just moved has now reverted to it's original location. I want to be able to
   move a Comment Box and have it stay in the new location that I choose.
   Also, it might be important that when I finish editing the Comment Boxes, I
   usually hide the Comment and use the mouse-over to reveal the contents.

I hope that this is better information for you, but if you still need more,
then please let me know and I will try to provide.

Thanx in advance for your help.

David

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54070] BUILD: LibreOffice does not build on Mac OS 10.7 or higher

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54070

--- Comment #4 from Tor Lillqvist tlillqv...@suse.com ---
Refering to NeoOffice build instructions is quite useless, that fork is very
much different from LibreOffice, especially in build mechanisms. (Also, their
license is incompatible with ours; any code taken from NeoOffice will not be
accepted into LibreOffice.)

As Alex mentions, indeed, one needs to install automake and autoconf before
building LibreOffice with Xcode 4. It's best (in my opinion) to simply build
them oneself and install in some prefix not shared by any other 3rd-party
software installed, for instance, /opt/autotools, and then add
/opt/autotools/bin to PATH. That way one can be sure there is nothing else in
that prefix which would pollute the expected build environment.

I.e., for a LibreOffice build with a current Xcode, and without building any
Mozilla stuff (which is how we, as far as I understand, recommend volunteers in
general build a development build of LibreOffice) only Xcode, automake and
aclocal should be necessary.

Anyway; there are obviously many ways in which a build can go wrong, we can't
test all possible combinations of install locations of tools, versions, etc
etc.

So sorry, I can't really help with the errors the initial report describes.
They are unfamiliar to me. For me, master builds currently fine using Clang
from the latest Xcode using the following autogen.lastrun:

--disable-binfilter
--disable-build-mozilla
--disable-mozilla
--disable-odk
--disable-online-update
--enable-debug=cppu/ cppuhelper/ sal/ sfx2/ stoc/ sw/ toolkit/ unotools/ vcl/
--enable-epm
--enable-werror
--with-java-target-version=1.5
--with-macosx-version-min-required=10.6
--with-max-jobs=1
--with-num-cpus=1
--without-doxygen
--without-help
--without-helppack-integration
--without-myspell-dicts

(Not all of those options are essential of course, but I use them out of
inertia, laziness, or a wish to make the build a bit faster by skipping
unessential stuff.)

Sorry for the doubled comment, bugzilla is a bit slow or something...

--- Comment #7 from Sergey Farbotka z8serge...@gmail.com ---
After 3 days of attempts to build LibreOffice on OS X 10.8 with Xcode 4.5 I
finally succeeded.

I added MacOSX10.6.sdk to Xcode 4.5 and run autogen.sh with next args:

--disable-binfilter
--disable-build-mozilla
--disable-mozilla
--disable-odk
--disable-online-update
--disable-python
--enable-debug=cppu/ cppuhelper/ sal/ sfx2/ stoc/ sw/ toolkit/ unotools/ vcl/
--enable-epm
--with-java-target-version=1.6
--with-macosx-version-min-required=10.6
--with-max-jobs=2
--with-num-cpus=2
--without-doxygen
--without-help
--without-helppack-integration
--without-myspell-dicts
CC=clang -m32
CXX=clang++ -m32

If you use clang, adding --enable-werror is not good idea, because currently
LibreOffice has dozens of unfixed warnings.
gcc/g++ also doesn't work for me.

Just exported with LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 (350m1(Build:2)) in Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit
and opened with Evince (standard Ubuntu viewer). It looks the same as in Draw,
with gradient.
So, NOT confirmed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55633] CRASH when FILEOPEN particular .ODS

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55633

--- Comment #18 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de ---
Created attachment 68164
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=68164action=edit
Mac OS X log file for bug 55633, LOdev 3.7.0 2012-10-04

The document also still crashes on fileopen with LOdev 3.7.0.0.alpha0+ (Build
ID: dd11a1e; pull time: 2012-10-04 12:52:50) on the same machine. The (simple)
stack trace is nearly identical; little difference in line 14:
“XML_ParseBuffer_UTF16” instead of “XML_ParseBuffer”.

So this crash is NOT fixed by the fix for bug 55379.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52248] Graphite font: some punctuations between two non-breakable spaces disappear

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #2 from Jean-Baptiste Faure jbf.fa...@sud-ouest.org ---
As shown in the second attachment
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64367) using the option frsp=0
solves the problem.
I do not know if it is only a workaround or if the incompatibility between
non-breakable space character and the automatic management of the non-breakable
spaces by the graphite font is normal.

Best regards. JBF

Interesting enough, if I repeat the test (just opening the file with LOdev

I attach an example of the other type with a much shorter stack trace.

I do not know what this difference (different stack traces for exactly the same

 @V Stuart Foote:
 Thank you for your attention, but please respect
 https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Details#How_to_reopen_Bugs!
 Do not reopen old bugs only because the are concerning similar problems or
 symptoms you observe. This bug was concerning obsolete 3.6 download
 recommendations

Rainer,

The content page is still linked--so it is not orphaned as you and I thought.

It is reached exactly as described in the original Discuss maillist posting
noted. An active link from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/release-notes/
- to the (See this page for LibreOffice 3.5) hypertext.

The again incorrect content needs to be edited. There was no doubt in my mind
as I reopened this bug as being in context with an open thread Which version
to get? on the Discussion list.

In reality the still valid bug, not originally addressed, is that mixed
automated/manual Web content for the download pages are not being maintained as
the Web design evolves and additional releases occur. So yes, I could have
opened a new bug for that--but doing it this way, I rather think is more
appropriate as it keeps it in context at the release first observed.

My observation to elevate the 3.6.2 build to the preferred green check mark
was NOT appropriate, strike that.

Stuart

--- Comment #3 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de ---
Well, experience has shown that many bugs of this kind do not only involve the
system preference “Enable access for assistive devices”, but also that some
additional utility is installed and running which uses this setting.

Therefore, in order to make reproducing and fixing this issue easier, my usual
questions ;-):

1) Do you use any window management utility for Mac OS X, i.e. a little
   application, app, control panel, or utility which helps to arrange,
   restore etc. the user interface windows, like
   * AquaSnap
   * BetterSnapTool
   * BetterTouchTool
   * Breeze
   * Cinch
   * Divvy
   * DoublePane
   * Flexiglass
   * HyperDock
   * iSnap
   * Moom
   * RightZoom
   * ShiftIt
   * SizeUp
   * SizeWell
   * Spectacle
   * Stay
   * TileWindows
   * WindowTidy
   or something similar?

2) And/or do you use any mouse cursor/pointer utility, i.e. some little
   application or control panel etc. which animates or replaces etc.
   the mouse curser/pointer, like
   * LazyMouse?

3) And/or do you use any special software which could be related to
   accessibility stuff, e.g. a screen reader, screen magnifier, speech
   recognition software, a text-to-speech (dictation) application,
   or similar?

To know this would be very helpful! Thank you very much for your answer!

In LO 3.3.4 it works. I have set the keyword regression. It works also, when
you don't resize with the mouse but with the keyboard in the properties of the
rectangle. So I will change the title.

The TDF site Download page performs OS and language detection. But it has a
hyperlink Change System, Version or Language linked to
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/?nodetect that seems a little sparse. The
active links are scripts building pages by OS for a language selection.

An alternative and still active landing site might be the URL:

http://www.libreoffice.org/download-more/

Which has dropdown lists to select alternate OS and alternate language.

It seems like this page is a more efficient target for translated download
instructions regards OS, Language and alternative download methods.

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: and...@matthewman.fr
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Database
   Product: LibreOffice

In the design view, when null is entered as a selection criterion, it is
forced to EMPTY. Similarly, empty is forced to uppercase EMPTY.
So, you think the software has understood what you want.

However, this leads to generation of the SQL code = NULL, which is
syntactically correct but logicially incorrect and returns no rows.

It should be IS NULL.
When the corrected query is edited back in the design view, IS EMPTY is
displayed.
Conclusion : null and empty should be forced to IS EMPTY.

All  quotes are mine.

What do you mean with citations? In the attached file there are five words
written with letters and a two-digit number in parentheses. I can only assume
you meant to say that a digit or a group of digits in parentheses should not be
counted as a word. However, I can't see the logic behind this claim. How about
letters in parentheses, or digits outside of parentheses? If these are counted
as words, why should digits in parentheses be treated differently?

On the other hand, this issue may be related to bug 55359 – perhaps even a
duplicate?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55707] New: Word count incorrect if language is set to Finnish

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55707

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 55707
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Word count incorrect if language is set to Finnish
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: isoku...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.5.4 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 68181
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=68181action=edit
Different word counts for corresponding Finnish and English texts.

Word count does not function correctly if the language of the text is set to
Finnish: any punctuation or combination of punctuation that is not immediately
preceded by a letter is counted as the end of a previous word (even if the
punctuation occurs in the beginning of a paragraph, so there is no previous
word). Furthermore, some special symbols are counted together with the previous
word (typically but not necessarily written with numerical digits, e.g. 10 %)
as if they were a single word, despite their being separated by a space.

If the language is set to another language, the word count seems to function
correctly.

Found in 3.5.4 (backported for Debian Squeeze); also present in 3.6.2
(Windows).

The issue may be related to bug 33774 (it seems that the fix does not affect
Finnish text for some reason).

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open the attached test file. The first column has some samples set in
Finnish, whereas the second column has corresponding samples set in English.
2) Open the word-count dialog box (if using 3.5.4).
3) Select the first sample line (including the punctuation) in the Finnish
column. According to the word count, the current selection contains two words,
the opening quotation mark being counted as a separate word. The corresponding
English sample is correctly reported to contain only one word.
4) On the second line, select one by one each of the Finnish sample words. The
string USA:n is correctly counted as a single word (since the colon is
preceded by a letter), but both 90:n and %:n are counted as two separate
words (and by further experimentation, one can see that the string n, %: is
counted as a single word, mixing the ending of one word, the intervening
punctuation, and the stem of the following word). In the corresponding English
column, USA's, 90's and %'s are each counted as a single word.
5) Select the entire third line (10 %, 10 €) in the Finnish column. The
current selection is counted as two words, whereas the identical string in the
English column is counted as four words.

If the language setting of the Finnish column is changed into English, the word
count works correctly, and vice versa. Also, if the language setting is changed
into French, German, or Swedish, the word count works correctly. The issue only
seems to affect Finnish. (Could this somehow be connected to the fact that the
spell checker for Finnish is not Hunspell but Voikko?)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55709] New: ScAnyRefDlg allows to create new sheet through the add button in the sheet tab bar

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55709

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 55709
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: ScAnyRefDlg allows to create new sheet through the add
button in the sheet tab bar
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: NEW
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

The little plus in the sheet tab bar needs to be protected when we are in an
ScAnyRefDlg. Even worse it makes it possible that the table switches when the
IsTableLocked returns true so allowing the user to insert references to other
tables.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55222] LibreOffice spreadsheet crashes when trying to open an old lotus 1-2-3 file

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55222

--- Comment #10 from Markus Mohrhard markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com ---
(In reply to comment #9)
 (In reply to comment #8)
  The crash is already fixed so please leave this bug report marked as
  duplicate. This was a general problem in the Lotus import filter. If there
  are other problems for this file please open new bug reports.

  We should never use the same bug report for two different problems.

 Markus, I have to disagree with you. We fixed the import for .123 files.
 Older versions .wk? return a read error See my comment #10 in bug
 55066.
 Tested it in LO 3.6.2.2RC.

Crash != Read error. Therefore please open a new bug report. The reporter
mentioned a crash and this crash is 100% fixed so the other problem requires a
new bug report.

Using a bug report for two different bugs only leads to confusion and makes it
much harder for us developers to track bug reports. So just open a new bug
report and attach the file with a new description what is wrong.

Conditional formatting disappears when deleting a line

@Guillermo
Without complete description of your problem the attachment is more worrying
than helping. With what Verison do you see the problem? Immediately or after
close reopen? So I obsolete your sample document for now. Please feel free to
open a separate bug with this sample (and a more complete description due to

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54473] FILEOPEN DATALOSS: RTF import ignores character styles

2012-10-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54473

--- Comment #5 from Mike Kaganski mikekagan...@hotmail.com ---
Aha. So this bug is about loss of character style names, not the styles
themselves. This misunderstanding happens when reporter ignores bug reporting
guidelines and omits the what is done, what is expected and what happens
instead report sections :)

Reproducible under the abovementioned environment.

This is the minimal RTF to reproduce:

{\rtf1\ansi
{\stylesheet;
{\*\cs16\ul Anot;}
{\*\cs15\i ForeignTxt;}
}
{\cs16\ul Text }
with
{\cs15\i character }
formatting
\par }

The word Text should have character style Anot, and character should have
ForeignTxt style applied. But in LO Writer (v. 3.6.2.2) the style is basic.

While preparing this testcase, I came across another bug: if I remove semicolon
that goes just after \stylesheet then the first style in the stylesheet is
ignored. In MS Word Viewer (as well as in MS Word) everything works OK.

Copy it down? I can open the sample document with 3.6.0.4 (WIN), but no idea
how to reproduce the problem.

@Otto Zorro
Thank you for your report – unfortunately important information is missing.
May be hints on http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport will help you to
find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you
believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing
list
Please:
- Write a meaningful Summary describing EXACTLY what the problem is
- Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
  problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
  into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
- Contribute a document related step by step instruction containing every
  key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem
  (similar to example in Bug 43431)
– if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
- add information
  -- what EXACTLY is unexpected
  -- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!)
  -- concerning your OS (Language)
  -- concerning your LibO (UI language, Locale setting)
  –- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
  -- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
   -- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts
