[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54308] Calc EDITING: dragfill not working when select some cell and hold Ctrl
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54308 --- Comment #6 from Niklas Johansson sleeping.pil...@gmail.com --- Interesting I can reproduce on Windows 7 64-bit (Swedish). But ONLY if i press down the Ctrl key before pressing down mouse button and start dragging. And as the reporter says it works the second time. If I on the other hand start by pressing down the mouse button then Ctrl and start dragging it always seems to work for me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54308 --- Comment #10 from Terrence Enger lo_b...@iseries-guru.com --- This is my first time using this feature, so take this comment for what it is worth. I observe that behaviour is different depending on whether the mouse cursor is over the bottom right corner of B1 when you press ctrl. With the cursor somewhere else, the program works as sasha expects. With the cursor already in position, dragging the mouse cursof selects either cells of column A only or cells of row 1 only, and nothing is copied. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54308 --- Comment #11 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com --- That's the trick! I always had the cursor on the bottom right (seemed intuitive I guess to me ;) ). None the less, probably qualifies as a minor bug as it's not consistent behavior, also as a few other people were able to reproduce it so easily, it meant they were not assuming to go to bottom right corner first. Please note this problem occur with LibreOffice-3.6.2 (not with libo 3.5.7 mention in your post). Regards Nicolas Nicolas! MS_VCR's version installed in the system, is not important in this bug. I think that an Built environment used to compile the LibO-3.6(7).x_Win_x86 is reason of an error. MS_VCR-9.0.21022 and JDK-1.6.0_u16-u35 should be used in the assembly all LibOffices (now - 3.5.7 only). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36582 stfhell stfh...@googlemail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Hardware|x86-64 (AMD64) |All CC||stfh...@googlemail.com Summary|Find and replace replaces |Find and replace |deleted words (from Record |finds/replaces text deleted |changes)|with record/track changes --- Comment #6 from stfhell stfh...@googlemail.com --- Still a problem in LO 3.6.2.2. In summary: When Show tracked changes is active, Find will find text that has been deleted with track changes activated. Find replace will replace already deleted text. When you do Find replace with activated track changes, it will replace the same (already deleted) text again and again. Replace all works insofar as it replaces each occurance only once. Actually it can be useful if Find also searches tracked deletions - after all you use track changes to be able to keep deleted text in the document. But I think it's usually not what you want. So you would have to disable show tracked changes just to do a Find. I cannot imagine a situation where you would like already deleted text to be replaced by newly inserted text. It's definitely a bug that LO does not at least move the cursor behind the replaced text when you choose Replace in the Find replace dialogue with track changes activated. That leads to the same text being replaced again and again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Looking at the current LibreOffice git master, I see the insane code is still there, on at least two different files (found with git grep _PC_NAME_MAX HEAD): HEAD:extensions/source/plugin/unx/unxmgr.cxx:char aBuffer[ sizeof( struct dirent ) + _PC_NAME_MAX +1 ]; HEAD:vcl/generic/fontmanager/fontmanager.cxx:long aDirEntBuffer[ (sizeof(struct dirent)+_PC_NAME_MAX)+1 ]; This does not make much sense, since (at least on my system) _PC_NAME_MAX is an enum value, meant to be passed as an argument to pathconf/fpathconf. Steps to reproduce: 0. Start Calc 1. Place table cursor on any cell, click on triangle next to Background color tool. Palette with colors appears. 2. Select any color on palette 3. Click on triangle next to Background color tool again (while in the same table cell). We see that around selected color is small rectangle) 4. Click on triangle next to Background color tool again for palette disappear 5. Click on another cell in table. Expected: Background color tool will keep previous color Actually: it becomes No fill color I understand that in such situation tool works as Eye Dropper. But it is so unintuitive. Users expect that they will change color and paint with this color several cells. But it takes color from cell. This bug is split of Bug 38813 Resolution of Joel Madero: Verified. I'm marking as a low priority minor bug. Reason: Can make it somewhat harder to make professional quality work -- requires an additional step of changing the color again, furthermore, if you're using similar colors, figuring out the same color you used previously can be tedious. The # of users really affected by this is probably low (only those using background colors really often), and even then, the workaround is just one additional step of choosing the color again. Not an enhancement as the behavior is inconsistent. If you change the color of a cell and then immediately select another cell, behavior is as expected, if you change the color of a cell and then choose the arrow drop down again, then move on to another cell, it shows no fill. Behavior should be consistent and this isn't working as it's intended to work -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
