[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58756] Drop KDE 3 support (KDE 4 Native Widget Framework needed)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58756 Francesco Frassinelli frap...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #2 from Francesco Frassinelli frap...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #1) Could you be more precise about being useless and for KDE3? LibreOffice 4 has a package called kde-integration. This package is not for KDE, but it's for KDE 3 *only*, because it depends from Qt 3/KDE 3 libs and it doesn't use Qt 4/KDE 4 libs. Oxygen integration works withouth this package. Last KDE 3 version was relased more than 4 years ago; KDE 4.0 was relased 5 years ago. I think that there are 2 option here: 1. If you think that KDE 3 support is important, rename this package to kde3-integration 2. Otherwise, drop it Could you provide a screenshot to prove your point? Look at libk*.so.4 (take in mind that kdelibs4 are KDE 3 related and kdelibs5 are KDE 4 related) and at libqt*.so.3: ldd /opt/lodev4.0/program/kdebe1.uno.so linux-vdso.so.1 = (0x7fffdd1ff000) libkio.so.4 = not found libkdeui.so.4 = not found libkdecore.so.4 = not found libqt-mt.so.3 = not found libuno_cppu.so.3 = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libuno_cppu.so.3 (0x7f42c7781000) libuno_cppuhelpergcc3.so.3 = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libuno_cppuhelpergcc3.so.3 (0x7f42c74b4000) libuno_sal.so.3 = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libuno_sal.so.3 (0x7f42c7254000) libstdc++.so.6 = /lib64/libstdc++.so.6 (0x7f42c6f5) libm.so.6 = /lib64/libm.so.6 (0x7f42c6c4f000) libgcc_s.so.1 = /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x7f42c6a39000) libc.so.6 = /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x7f42c668) libuno_salhelpergcc3.so.3 = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libuno_salhelpergcc3.so.3 (0x7f42c6478000) libreg.so.3 = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libreg.so.3 (0x7f42c625c000) libxmlreader.so = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libxmlreader.so (0x7f42c604e000) libpthread.so.0 = /lib64/libpthread.so.0 (0x7f42c5e32000) libdl.so.2 = /lib64/libdl.so.2 (0x7f42c5c2e000) /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00335f40) libstore.so.3 = /opt/lodev4.0/program/../ure-link/lib/libstore.so.3 (0x7f42c5a0e000) I've you tried, for instance, to run Kubuntu 12.10 live CD and check if is the same you see in Fedora 18? And what about Fedora 18 live? I've debian GNU/Linux with KDE 4.8, and the packages: libreoffice-kde libreoffice-style-oxygen and have you checked systemsettings-application appearance-gtk+ appearance? I haven't tried different distribution, but the output I get from ldd should be almost the same on every distribution with no KDE 3, because I'm using LibreOffice 4 beta 2 rpm packages. KDE 4 integration works using gtk+ appearance (although it would be nice to have KDE 4 Native Widget Framework integration), but this bug it's mainly KDE 3 related. If the Libreoffice 4 beta 2 deb packages are made like rpm ones, you could try to remove libreoffice-kde from your system (leaving libreoffice-style-oxygen installed) and see that nothing changes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58901] New: FILEOPEN write protected questionnaire.doc: contents of Input fields can not be modified
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58901 Priority: medium Bug ID: 58901 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FILEOPEN write protected questionnaire.doc: contents of Input fields can not be modified Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 3.3.0 Beta2 Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 72334 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=72334action=edit Sample Document When Input fields are used, especially if you want to use the document as a questionnaire, you need a possibility to protect all contents of the document except the fields against modifications. This is intended for the attached document. Expected when I open the sample document with server installation of LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit): a) input field contents can be edited, simply click and type b) no possibility to modify anything outside the form fields, if I try to click, caret will go to next editable input (or checkbox) filed c) write protection (for normal text) kept after document has been saved This is the behavior I see in WORD. Actual in LibO 3.5.7.2: a) is more or less fulfilled, document by default is opened read only b) It's impossible to edit the document: b1) Click (or double click) field behind Firmenname und Anschrift, no caret appears, field can not be edited b2) 'Right click - Edit': Password message appears, but that will not help because password is unknown b3) Same as in (b2) when you try to make the field editable by click on 'Edit File' in Standard Task Bar c) Write protection completely away after document has been saved as .doc or .odt You will have to save the document (under new name) if you want to edit the fields, but that will destroy the write protection of the normal text. My results with other Versions and programs: 1. MSO 2010: Works perfectly and intuitive, write protection kept after document has been saved with edits 2. OOo 3.1.1: Works fine, but it's a little unintuitive that a small dialogs opens when I try to edit the Input Fields. Additionally I can click into protected text, caret will not jump to Input filed. Write protection kept after document has been saved with edits. Saved documents now can be edited with LibO in the same way 3. Lotus Symphony Release 3.0.1 Revision 20120110.2000 All the same as with OOo 3.1.1 4. OOo 3.4.1: Same result as with LibO, Input fields can not be edited, but some differences in appearance - Input Fields are invisible - Input Fields edit dialog opens when I double click invisible fields, but they are protected, I can not modify contents 5. LibO 3.3.3, 4.1.0.0: Same as with LibO 3.5.7.2 6. AbiWord: Unusable! 7. FreeOffice (Softmaker): Works nearby perfectly, write protection kept after document has been saved with edits (but does not show page heading correctly) This one might be related to or DUP of Bug 46362 - FILEOPEN: Word file with fields cannot be opend anymore (works in OOo 3.2.1 I really wonder how we could create such a questionnaire with LibO as .odt, I do no know a way to od that except with write protected section(s), what would be rather fiddly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Conditional formatting is garbage 11replace step 8 by save as .xlsx (XML 2003) Gives error message that conditional formatting can’t be saved 12replace step 8 by save as .xlsx (LO XML) The 4 new dtyles remain – formulas remain correct 13close 14open New styles have gone. There are 8 generated ones. Conditional formatting is garbage – all formulas refer to B1 15replace step 8 by save as .xls (97/2000/XP/2003/) The 4 new styles remain – formulas remain correct 16close This shouldn’t work. .xls does not support more than 3 conditions per cell 17open New styles remain. I tried taking a screen shot, but that was three minutes ago, and the file doesn't exist yet. Slowed way down. It has now been 10 minutes, and the screenshot file still doesn't exist. I have no idea what calc is doing. There doesn't seem to be any disk activity, nor do I get any error messages, nor does the system actually apear hung, only Calc has stopped responding, not even the cancel button on the create chart window. I really need this to work, I am in the middle of creating two large documents. Do you have any suggestions to debug this? Can I maybe invoke calc from the command line with some debug arguments to get more error messages or something? OK, some progress has been made. twenty minutes to do the one chart. This is new, before it would not even generate the chart and sometimes would completely crash the system. I can still debug the issue if there is some command to let me see some log of the chart applications operations. I guess I could change the error to SLOWS the chart application tremendously But this is still unconscienable on a 3.2GHz 6 processor system. Both menu-entries start the Report-Builder. Only when I uninstall the Report-Builder the old wizard from OOo appears and I am able to create old reports. Many people have used this wizard before to get reports, which show the content in a table-form. Why couldn't we get a menu-entry for this old wizard beside the entries of the Report-Builder? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58541] BASIC: BASIC runtime error '423' OnSheetActivate
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58541 LeMoyne Castle lemoyne.cas...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #2 from LeMoyne Castle lemoyne.cas...@gmail.com --- @ Ron, The bugzilla system starts all bugs as unconfirmed then with multiple reports or qa reproduction the issue goes to New status. I added myself to CC: as someone interested in BASIC implementation: I wanted to know if someone else fixed it and to be able to find the bug later (without assigning myself). On download+open of spreadsheet I get this warning: The numbering add-in must be loaded for optimal toolbar and numbering behavior. Please load this add-in to your Library directory. then I get the error 23 message. Definitely confirmed. If LibreOffice BASIC does not implement support the OnSheetActivate event, this could be a compile time error instead of a run-time error. Certainly the message could be more helpful. If these events are supported then that implementation appears broken (or again at least unhelpful). Either way, message needs improvement. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
