The core of the problem is that for an existing document (created with 3.3.3) the row height will not be calculated. I think that a lot of aspects might have influence whether row height should be adapted. So I contribute all steps including creation of the sample document. Steps with Server Installation of LibreOffice 3.3.3 English UI/ German Locale [OOO330m19 (Build:301) tag libreoffice-3.3.3.1] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) (creating sample document) 1. New spreadsheet from LibO Start Center 2. On Sheet2 Cell A1 Type This is a pretty long text 3. Increase column A width dragging border between Column headings A-B to app. double size (so that it's a little more than text length) 4. A2: =A1 5. fill A2 to A3 A20 All cells A1:A20 show same text as A1 6. Sheet1.A1: =CONCATENATE(Sheet2.A1;Sheet2.A2;Sheet2.A3;Sheet2.A4;Sheet2.A5; Sheet2.A6;Sheet2.A7;Sheet2.A8;Sheet2.A9;Sheet2.A10) Shows long text in Sheet1.A1 exceeding Cell size 7. Menu 'Format - Cells - Alignment - Wrap Text Automatically' ok Text wrapped into cell with increased row height (20 text lines or so). 8. Save document as sample_333_01.ods, close, reopen Still shows text wrapped correctly in Sheet1.A1 9. Double click Sheet2.A1 (Cel Edig mode) 10. control+a to select all cell contents 11. control+c to copy all cell contents 12. click into cell behind trailing blank caret flashes behind text 13. control+c to copy text Text now with double length in All cells 14. Check Sheet1.A1 Row height has NOT been increased (I haven't a clue whether that is intended or not) 15. Save document as sample_333_02.ods, close, 16. reopen sample_333_02.ods: Now row height HAS been increased, showing approximately 40 text lines in cell for all text 17. Close document without saving 20. Now tests with other versions: Do only Step 16, until 3.5.6 always will show increased row height for Sheet1.A1 showing app. 40 text lines with all text. Still [Reproducible] with parallel Dev-installation of Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: 61add5c77de1ff963b839020c77f67f14ef07de) TinderBox: Win-x86@6, Branch:master, Pull Time: 2013-03-05_00:20:08 ENGLISH UI / German Locale on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with LODev/4 Masters User Profile Bug: Starting with server installation of LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) you will only see the 20 text lines as in step 14, text is truncated in Sheet1.A1. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53997 --- Comment #7 from Nicholas Shanks nicksha...@nickshanks.com --- (In reply to comment #3) Compatibility to Excel2010 is not important. I am trying to encourage ODS usage in an office where Excel 2010 is ubiquitous. I cannot send raw LO-exported files to my colleagues without first decompressing them, editing the file so that it uses syntax that Excel supports, and the recompressing them. Surely I am not alone in trying to use free software in a Microsoft-dominated environment, though I may well be alone in hand-editing the XML! Is it not a goal of yours (plural) to gain adoption of your product in a commercial surrounding? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62208] FORMATTING: Conditional format display differs from configuration
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62208 --- Comment #4 from Daniel Schmidt daniel.schmidt@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #0) Created attachment 76366 [details] LibreOffice spreadsheet document with a test case and the bugdescription Problem description: If a row is inserted between rows that are conditional formatted the new rows display behaviour is not as configured in conditional format dialog. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attached sheet 2. Insert a new row before row 13 3. Insert ! in cell A and test in cell B of the new row Current behavior: test in column B is diplayed in red. The conditional format dialog shows no format configuration for the new row. If you save the document and reopen it, the test is diplayed again in black. Expected behavior: 1. Either the new row should have the same conditional format as the rows on top/bottom or 2. the new cell in Column B mustn't display in red. Operating System: All Version: 4.0.1.2 release (In reply to comment #3) Hi Daniel, Just think for one cell your conditional format in the same way, but before you leave the dialog box you set it, look at the bottom where this is applied and select or write the range you want. For a long time, it wasn't possible but now, it is. That simplify significantly writing and reading for conditional format. Now, since we have a whole range instead of cell by bell setting, introduce a new line betwween these boundaries which have the same condition is quite easy. Best regards. Have a nice day too. Jacques Hi Jacques, thank you for your reply. At the time I created the list, I had a mistake in the conditional format range. Now I have one conditional format rule. The behaviour now is correct. New cells, that are inserted in the previously defined range are included in the range and the range is increased. Thank you for your help. The problem I mentioned in this report: With the original used conditional format configuration, the diplaying of the new line DIFFERS from the configuration! And this changes not before reloading the document. So I think this is really a bug. Can you reproduce this problem? By doing this the user makes clear its intention to open the template. Users are accustomed to using this list to change the default opening. This is the same list that they used to save as template. I'm always surprised that the choice template has no effect when opening and it creates a new document. It is almost a bug to me. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62366 Priority: medium Bug ID: 62366 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: SLIDESHOW: Pen on the presenter console Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: taesoob...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.1.2 release Component: Presentation Product: LibreOffice Problem description: This is an enhancement suggestion. I frequently use a pen while presenting because I use a tablet pc. Today, I tried to use the new presenter console in the Libre Impress 4.0 using a dual monitor setup. As usual, I switched the mouse cursor to a pen, and drawed a few lines on the presenter console, but my drawing didn't appear on the screens. Steps to reproduce: 1. switch the mouse cursor to a pen 2. open the presenter console 3. draw on the console Current behavior: My drawing didn't show up immediately. Instead, whenever I press PageDn, the drawing appears on screen #1 and #2 shortly before the page changes. So it seemed that the drawing is somehow stored internally, but it just doesn't get drawn. Expected behavior: What I wanted to do was to draw on the Presenter Console using a pen (screen #1) and have my drawing input show up both on the console and on the main presentation screen (screen #2). So it is possible to activate more than one at once. Yes. You may even activate every single feature available in a font at the same time, even such contradictory ones like tabular and proportional numbers or sub- and superscript, and the worst thing that should happen is, that some simply won’t have any effect. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62353 --- Comment #4 from John Manko john.ma...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #3) But do note that those jars are not designed to work in isolation from a complete URE installation. I've been thinking about that, and it does raise the question of the benefit of having a maven entry for just a few jars. I guess it's more of a development and compile time benefit, even if execution or debugging is pointless with just those. Does Maven allow for passing additional flags to the JVM, where the LO installation can be configured? The biggest benefit would be seen with Jenkins, where LO installations are not necessary, but the UNO jars are needed for the build. Can maven be used to specify a local installation path? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62353] Provide maven artifacts for SDK
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62353 --- Comment #5 from DavidO d.ostrov...@gmx.de --- (In reply to comment #3) (In reply to comment #0) Java artifacts should be accessibla through standard maven repositories, i. e. jenkins-ci maven repository I have little knowledge of Maven, so am not sure what it means for the public URE jars available via the LO SDK to be accessible via Maven. Differentiate between two different use cases: compilation, i. e. creation of binaries optionally combined with unit/functional/smoke tests and real usage/production. Check this: https://github.com/davido/gerrit-buildbot-plugin/blob/master/pom.xml#L100 to create gerrit-plugin you don't need gerrit. All you need is java maven installed on your machine and this line in your pom.xml: dependency groupIdcom.google.gerrit/groupId artifactIdgerrit-${Gerrit-ApiType}-api/artifactId version${Gerrit-ApiVersion}/version scopeprovided/scope /dependency that all. see it here in action on this jenkins instance: https://ci.idaia.de/job/gerrit-buildbot/131/console Note three facts here: 1. there is nothing installed on that machine besides Java Maven 2. Source tree include *no* gerrit binary artifacts at all. 3. to switch to different Version to gerrit you change one line: Gerrit-ApiVersion2.6-SNAPSHOT/Gerrit-ApiVersion And the dependency above does the magic for you. The only requirement is that on some maven repository it can find that binary artifact. To translate it to LO it would mean, to define a couple of modules dependency groupIdorg.libreoffice/groupId artifactIdlibreoffice-odk-{juh|jurt|ridl|unoil|...}/artifactId version4.1/version /dependency And upload the artifacts to some maven repository (for each release version) Then you can take something like that: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lopdfconverter/ and migrate it to maven tool chain and compile it on clean machine with two dependencies installed: java maven and nothing else, and that for all LO releases (for which of course maven artifacts can be found and fetched from some maven repo). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
