[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64232] FILEOPEN: [FILEOPEN] [FORMATTING] [DATALOSS] Importing DOCX with default font 'Times New Roman' - shown as different font in Writer
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64232 --- Comment #3 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com --- the file is not corrupt - Microsoft Office only supports an older version of open standards (ODF), so when you try to save with the new standards which is default for LibreOffice it doesn't know what to do and says there is an error - quite tricky on Microsoft's part to say the least - especially if MSO 2013 is still doing this. This was well known with 2007 and 2010, it's unfortunate that they are still trying to blame their lack of support on the file itself (thus blaming corrupt file, vs. sorry we don't support this). @ Joren - sure I'll test, I still haven't actually installed MSO 2013 - just sitting there collecting dust like 2010 is ;) But I will try to install or test on a system that has it already - give me a day or two :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44269] PRINTING: Printing problem with form contains text field with «Multi-line with formatting »
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44269 --- Comment #4 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com --- Created attachment 78898 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=78898action=edit Edited copies of form_test.odt under different platform/LO as well as corresponding generated PDFs. Setting Component to Printing and PDF Export as per suggestion in comment #2. This would appear to be consistent with the bug title. I agree with comment #3 and recommend closing this bug as TDF/LO v4.0.2.2 under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64, MacOS 10.6.8, and Win7HP, no longer produces the field overflow indicated in the original report. Under TDF/LO v3.5.7.2 the overflow is clearly apparent as originally reported. The problem fields in the original report were TextBoxStart, TextBox, TextBox1 (as indicated) and the first pair of OPEN_DOSS1 fields. Regardless of whether these are set to use a Type type of Multi-line or Multi-line with formatting, the results under v4.0.2.2 are that the fields display as expected. Please refer the files in the attached ZIP. All PDFs ending with _multi-line_with_formatting are generated from the original ODT in comment #0. All PDFs ending with only _multi-line are generated from the corresponding enclosed ODT, which has had the fields mentioned edited as described. Under MacOS and Win7HP the original formatting does not appear to be retained. I am not sure why this is the case but it may be an artefact of the different method of PDF generation used on those platforms. In any case it is a separate matter from the original report. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64254] : why do you use radians instead of degrees?
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64254 --- Comment #2 from alfiodemart...@hotmail.com --- I am not sure of what you mean but if you have trigonometry calculations that involve angles you usually have them in degrees since a protractor or anything like it gives readings in degrees and not in radians. Also any architectural drawing is in degrees and when someone refers to a 90 (or 30 or 60 or 45) degree angle I know what he means but if he gives it in radians I have no clue unless we have a calculator handy, well actually not a calculator since it works in degrees too unless it has a function to convert degrees in radians. To clarify: Lv3572.docx = DOCX created under Ubuntu TDF/LOv3.5.7.2 with TABs at 36 72 pt / half and one inch / 720 1440 pos. Lv3572e4022.docx = DOCX created under Ubuntu TDF/LOv3.5.7.2 and subsequently edited under Ubuntu TDF/LOv4.0.2.2 to remove TAB at 36 pt / half inch / 720. Wv4002e.docx = DOCX created under Win7HP TDF/LOv4.0.2.2 and subsequently edited to remove TAB at 36 pt / half inch / 720. This no longer appears to be a bug under v4.0.2.2 for the creation of NEW files. It is only a problem if editing a 2007/2010 DOCX file - created under v3.5.7.2 - with v4.0.2.2 (or later as indicated in comment #6). In this case the indicated actions do not remove the TAB. I have tested this under: Windows 6.1.7601 SP1 Build 7601: v4.0.2.2 (Build ID: 4c82dcdd6efcd48b1d8bba66bfe1989deee49c3) Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64: v4.0.2.2 (Build ID: 4c82dcdd6efcd48b1d8bba66bfe1989deee49c3) and v3.5.7.2 (Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b) The document.xml file in v3.5.7.2 and v4.0.2.2 edited DOCXs appear to be identical, when conducting a rudimentary test. The differences appear to be in the styles.xml file, which contains this additional bit of code in the v3.5.7.2 version (even after editing by v4.0.2.2): w:tabs w:tab w:leader=none w:pos=720 w:val=left/ /w:tabs This would appear to be the cause of the problem in DOCX files created by older versions of LO. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63817 --- Comment #8 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- I started with a 1.6 Jre and then changed to move along with Oracle's releases through many versions of 1.7 to the latest version 21. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64275] New: EDITING: Cursor position is lost when moving the cursor up and down
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64275 Priority: medium Bug ID: 64275 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: EDITING: Cursor position is lost when moving the cursor up and down Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: patrickmood...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.2.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Problem description: When editing a document in Writer, the position of the cursor on the line is not maintained when moving up or down through intermediate lines shorter than the original position or the cursor on the line. Steps to reproduce: 1. In a document with many lines of text with differing lengths, place the cursor near the end of one of the longer lines. 2. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard move the cursor up or down through an intermediate line which is shorter than the original cursor position. Current behaviour: The cursor position is reset to the length of the shortest intermediate line. Sometimes, if the cursor has only been moved up or down by 2 lines, the position is maintained as expected. However this appears to be a rare occurrence, and I could not see the difference in the scenario where this worked and where it did not. Expected behaviour: As long as no further editing or sideways movement has been done, the position on the line of the cursor should be maintained, as near as possible, for each line moved to using the up and down keys. If the cursor is moved up or down by any number of lines, and returned to the original line using only the up and down keys (or the page up and page down keys) it should be in exactly the same place it started from. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63398 --- Comment #7 from Stephan Bergmann sberg...@redhat.com --- The UNO oneway call concept is documented at http://web.archive.org/web/20100711070220/http://udk.openoffice.org/common/man/execution.html UNO Execution Model (http://udk.openoffice.org/common/man/execution.html appears to have been lost inadvertently). It was only ever translated to asynchronous calls in the case of URP bridge implementations that did not override it to use synchronous calls, and this overriding has ubiquitously been done for ages, first explicitly when setting up bridges and then implicitly in the bridge code itself. That is why it was deemed OK to drop the oneway keyword from UNOIDL with http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=90eac3e69749a9227c4b6902b1f3cef1e338c6d1 API CHANGE remove [oneway] method attributes. What has apparently been overlooked by commit 90eac3e69749a9227c4b6902b1f3cef1e338c6d1 is that there were calls to isOneway that required adaptation and/or could be cleaned up. svxform::FormScriptListener::impl_allowAsynchonousCall_nothrow (svx/source/form/fmscriptingenv.cxx) apparently got added with http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=eae0f62d3f3d1c7b8882b3da9fcfc1cdd094c40b INTEGRATION: CWS dba205a (1.1.2); FILE ADDED, presumably to fix https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=65420 OO crashes when 'revieve focus' event switches on the Filter Mode. It is unclear to me though why the decision whether to call listeners directly or to postpone that via Application::PostUserEvent should be based on whether the listener method is marked as oneway. I have an idea, but the fix is risky, and checks need to be made whether existing macros are affected, so this will be for 2.0.5 only in https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=65420#c10 might be a hint that this was done in an attempt to reduce the risk for regressions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Additional I've found that other people with newer Ubuntu have also problems: http://askubuntu.com/questions/290423/how-to-import-a-pdf-in-libreoffice-under-ubuntu-all-pages-are-blank So at the end I'll get rid of LO and give OpenOffice a try!!! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63324] Headless conversion fails: Error: Please reverify input parameters...
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63324 --- Comment #3 from Laubrino tla...@kerio.com --- I did some more research. I have libreoffice 3.5 and 4.0 installed on the same linux (Ubuntu 12.04). With libreoffice 3.5 it works and the pdf is generated in headless mode. With 4.0 version it doesn't work in headless mode. It happens only with the one particular docx document (which I cannot share for privacy reasons, unfortunately) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
